DELHI AROGYA NIDHI

MEMORANDUM OF ASSOCIATION

Name of the Society (1). The name of the Society shall be DELHI AROGYANIDHI.

Registered Office (2). The registered office of the above Society shall remain inthe National Capital Territory of Delhi, and at present, it, is atthe following address:-

Directorate of Health Services E Block, SaraswatiBhawan, Connaught Place, New Delhi-110001.

Aims and Objectives (3). The aims & objectives for which the Society isestablished are as under:a) raising of resources to assist patients who are not able toundergo specialized treatment for life- threatening diseases;

b) To motivate NGOs and voluntary donors to contribute tothe funds of the Society;

c) To organise cultural, social and motivational events inorder to raise such resources;

d) To liaise with health and other functionaries in the District,such as dispensaries, primary health centres, mobile units,hospitals etc, for providing better health care;

e) To motivate people to pledge support, in cash or kind forhelping poor patients in health care;

f) To undertake communication and health educationactivities, prepare/distribute publicity material relevant to thebasic aims and objectives of the Society;

g) To raise funds from voluntary organizations, for achievingthe memorandum and objects enshrined in the Memorandumof Association;

h) To invest and deal with funds and moneys of the Society;

i) To acquire purchase or otherwise own or take on lease orhire in NCT of Delhi or outside, temporarily or permanently,buy any movable or immovable property necessary orconvenient for the furtherance of the objects of the Society;

j) To monitor and control property utilization of funds,material equipment received from the Government /othersources from time to time for the functions of the DelhiArogya Nidhi;

k) To frame rules and regulations for day to day execution ofthe Societys activities and to amend the Memorandum ofAssociation from time to time, if necessary in consultationwith the State Government;

l) To appoint or employ temporarily or permanently anyperson for the purposes of the Society and to pay them suchsalary or wages as may be determined by the Chairman;

m) To undertake all such lawful acts as are conducive orincidental to the attainment of the objects of the Delhi ArogyaNidhi;

n) To take up any other activity in consonance with the aimsand objects of the National Illness Assistance fund.

All the income, earning moveable, immovable properties of the Society shall be solelyutilised and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set forth in theMemorandum of Association and no profit there from shall be paid or transferred directly orindirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profits in any manner whatsoever to the present or pastmember of the Society. They shall not have any claim on any moveable or immovableproperties of the Society and make no profits, whatsoever, by virtue of their membership.
