Flexbly - Pay or what you need now rather than whatyou may need in the uture, by selecting the CDR that bestts your specic requirements. Upgrade this in hours and

then pay or the additional bandwidth as your businessneeds grow.

reduced Dwnme - The beauty o Ethernet is realisedwhen you want to change the CDR between any o yourlocations - no truck roll is required, no physical changesare needed and thereore downtime during upgrades ispractically eliminated.

Cs Sangs - Ethernet services are more cost eectivethan legacy WAN services and Ethernet interaces areextremely low cost (most Routers include them in basecongurations now). The ease o managing a transparentEthernet LAN/WAN improves cost savings through the useo existing LAN management tools and skilled resource.

reenue Genean - With the bottlenecks removed inthe WAN, businesses can use the increase in capacity todeliver new or enhanced services that will generatepreviously unavailable revenues.

Cnsldan - Servers have traditionally been dispersedthroughout the network, due to bottlenecks in the WAN,to provide end users with better response times. Toassist with management and maintenance, networkmanagers have had to employ third party providers withcostly maintenance and support agreements. By removingthe bottleneck, Ethernet changes the rules, allowingconsolidation o server resources into centralisedlocations.

Busness Cnnuy - Ethersphere has extremelyfexible service delivery options to ensure your locationsare always connected - be it dual tail circuits or evenusing VPLS to add your DR site into the same VLAN as

    the hub site.

Global Crossing has extensive National and Metropolitancoverage throughout the UK via over 100 Points oPresence (PoPs). You choose 10Mb, 100Mb or Gigabit

Ethernet connection rom which Global Crossing createssecure Virtual Connections (VCs) to all o your locations.Global Crossing then allocate a Committed Data Rate(CDR) to each VC to meet your specic requirements.Global Crossing oers competitive Service LevelAgreements due to the highly resilient build o ourEthersphere network inrastructure. Should a ailureoccur RPR oers signicant protection through RingWrap. Ring Wrap is used in the event o a bre break orhardware ault - Ethersphere switches automaticallywrap the dual counter rotating rings to ensure connec-tivity is restored (in less than 50ms). In addition to theresilient nature o RPR, low latency is ensured throughSpatial Reuse Protocol - the core switches are aware othe destination or all trac and will always take the mostecient route.

Pn Pn - A transparent Ethernet connection betweenany two locations allowing extension o the LAN betweensites. This service supports both untagged and tagged VLANtrac as described in IEEE802.1Q.

Pn-Mulpn/Mulpn -By nominating a hub site allremote sites connect back using VCs. Global Crossing al-locate unique VLAN IDs to each location, which are attached

to Ethernet rames on ingress to the network, these are thenstripped on egress ensuring your trac (and any local VLANinormation) is delivered securely across our network.

    Secuy

All customer ports are physically separate. By utilisingMPLS in our core network we create Label Switched Pathsbetween our backbone switches. We allocate unique VirtualLAN (VLAN) Identiers to each location and create uniqueVCs between each port ensuring data is secure at all times.Ethersphere is a layer 2 service and is incapable o beingcompromised by potentially insecure layer 3 (Internet) trac.

    Feaues

Ethersphere oers signicant improvements over legacyWAN solutions.

    > Cnnecy 10Mbps, 100Mbps, 1000Mbps interaces.CDR in highly granular increments.

    > Secue - Ethernet over MPLS with unique VLAN IDverication.

    > Pemance-Reports Available online daily, weeklyor monthly.

    > reslenRPR uses Ring Wrap and steering unctionalityto oer sub 50ms restoration.

    > Lw Laency RPR uses Spatial Reuse Protocol to routetrac across the shortest path to ensure data is deliveredin the shortest timerame possible.

    > Scalable Bandwidth upgrades in hours rather than daysor weeks.
