EU FP7 歐盟科研架構計畫第七期簡介

歐盟 FP 計畫( Framework Programme )始自1984 年。

2007 至 2013 年為 FP 計畫第七期,即 FP7 。 FP7 擬投入預算高達 532 億歐元,約為 2 兆 4000 億

台幣。 FP 計畫希望強化歐盟的創新研發能力,提供會員國旗

下產官學界研發經費及平台服務。 FP7 的短期目標為傳承 FP6 ,建立「歐洲研究區域」;

長程目標則欲發展歐洲成為以知識為本的經濟與社會體。

Fish4Knowledge will allow a major increase in the ability to analyze this data: 1) Video analysis will automatically extract information about the observed marine animals which is recorded in an observation database. 2) Interfaces will be designed to allow researchers to formulate and answer higher level questions over that database.

Objective ICT-2011.3.5 Core and disruptive photonic technologies Call Call

deadline Application-specific photonic components and

subsystems. Biophotonics for early, fast and reliable

medical diagnosis of diseases, such as cancer, infectious and eye-related diseases. The applications vary from point-of-care diagnosis to functional imaging. Typical issues are high sensitivity, selectivity, resolution, and depth of penetration, according to the targeted technique and disease.

Particular emphasis is on a strongly multidisciplinary approach involving also medical/biomedical end-users.

deadline Personal Health Systems for remote

management of diseases, treatment and rehabilitation.

- Neurodegenerative diseases: focusing on remote management and treatment of patients at the point of need, addressing also the needs of their carers.

- Rehabilitation of stroke and neurological conditions: providing patient services at home, with tele-supervision by health professionals as and when required.

- Heterogeneous data (e.g., biofeedback, monitoring of limb movements, behavioural monitoring and analysis) and predictive models will be used to assess patient status and progress, monitor risk factors and predict new episodes.

- Liver failure: ICT-enabled artificial liver to facilitate detoxification as remote transient therapy at the point of need, offering continuous care from hospital to home settings.

Nature (e.g. living cells), and our physical environment in general, show many unconventional ways of information processing, such as those based on (bio-)chemical, natural, wetware, DNA, molecular, amorphous, reversible, analogue computing, etc.

- Pursue information processing, respecting the link between computation and the physicochemical properties of its embodiment.

- Strengthen the theoretical foundations in the area, keeping a strong focus on their potential application in (future) systems and devices.

- Demonstrate key steps towards physical information processing systems, including appropriate construction, organisation, adaptation and operation methodologies.

- Develop an appropriate interface to conventional IT systems and devices, wherever relevant.

A key feature of Collective Adaptive Systems (CASs) is that they comprise many units/nodes, which have their own individual properties, objectives and actions.

The units can be highly heterogeneous (computers, robots, agents, devices, biological entities, etc), each operating at different temporal and spatial scales, and having different (potentially conflicting) objectives and goals.

Project description

1. The WiserBAN project will create an ultra-miniature and ultra low-power RF micro-system for wireless Body Area Networks (BAN) targeting primarily wearable and implanted devices for healthcare, biomedical and lifestyle applications.

2. The proposed research concerns the extreme miniaturization of the BAN with primarily the areas of ultra low-power radio SoC (System on Chip), RF and Low-frequency MEMS, miniature reconfigurable antennas, miniaturized SiP (System in Package), sensor signal processing and flexible communication protocols.

Project description

1. FUSIMO will develop, implement and validate a multi-level model for moving abdominal organs for use with FUS and Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound surgery.

2. The FUSIMO developments in the field of hardware and software will be combined into an integrated system, which will allow both abdominal FUS application to moving organs, and also other treatment. modalities such as radio frequency, laser or cryotherapy or other types of interventions based on particles or fields in radiation therapy.

Biomedical research in vascular biology relating to thrombosis and atherosclerosis

1. Offer expertise in biomedical research in the field of vascular biology. 2. Search expertise in Medicine. Health, Life sciences, Medical

biotechnology.3. The focus of our work is to define mechanisms relevant fro vascular

diseases such as thrombosis, atherosclerosis, restenosis and stroke. We perform primarily experiments related to cell biology, biochemistry and molecular biology as well as some animal experiments with mouse models. The function of proteins circulating in the blood; their isolation, activity, cellular effects is the basis of our experimental work.
