My name is Francis Harper and I am currently a sophomore. This will be my second year taking graphic design. This is myfavorite class at Shorewood High School. Graphic Design al-lows us to express ourselves anyway we chose. This self ex-pression is carried out into the community with various projects.I am a very active person. I love sports and going on adven-tures with my friends. I really enjoy photography which I be-lieve helps me with designing. I plan to take classes in graphicdesign the rest of my high school career in hopes of one daybecoming a great graphic designer.

Meet ouR coveR DeSigneR...

The Shorewood High School Graphic Design Program is comprised of introductory, in-termediate and advanced level classes. Within the program, students are taught var-ious computer software programs. The higher-level classes are taught in a designstudio atmosphere wherein clients come to the class to present their ideas to the stu-dents and they work on projects that are both school as well as community based.Shorewood High School’s Graphic Design Programs are a helpful option for thosestudents who plan on going into Graphic Design, Advertising, or other Communicationrelated fields at the college level. - Jeff Zimpel, SHS Graphic Design Teacher

Educational Development) and distributed to the individuals that donatedto the organization’s campaign throughout the 2012-2013 school year.

“SEED was created specifically to support excellence in the ShorewoodSchool District”, SEED President Melissa Nelsen said. “We simply couldnot pass up the opportunity to celebrate SHS’ accomplishment and shareit with the entire community.”

SEED will continue to distribute the yard signs to all individuals that makea donation to its annual fund throughout the fall.
