RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION PURPOSE

- Ensure that building and plants are well maintained to company and legal standards within budgeted costs.

- Ensures overall effective maintenance of plants and building. Monitors cost so they are kept within budget. - Controls and trains the fire team and conducts monthly training sessions

- Prepares the departmental budget and monitors progress to keep the costs With in budget

- Establishes with executive Management the work priorities. - Supervises the productivity and efficiency of his department. - Ensures that an efficient store keeping system is in operation for the Engineering

- Ensure that daily work orders are allocated and work completed on time through Deputy Director of Engineering. - Designs preventive maintenance schedules as well as allocates and monitors work Threw the assistance - Monitors the Ken Fixit program and updates it as necessary. - Supervises and controls the work of outside contractors

- Records necessary data to prepare monthly reports to headquarter - Ensures that all work carried out by hotel engineers or outside contractors conforms To company and local legislative standards

- Prepares and submits Fire Reports, Energy Summary, H.L.P. Report and Water Treatment Report to Divisional Engineer on a monthly basis.

- Ensures that the air-conditioning plant is functioning correctly at all times - Implements and actively supervises the Energy Conservation Program. - Carries out all personnel aspects including recruitment, selection, - Checks the water treatment process.

Responsibility and Authority: Responsible for all Engineering matters under his direct supervision. l and running of engineering department. Ensures that engineering department provides a courteous and efficient service to the guest.

Supervision on the hotel renovation projects with the project department.

Full Knowledge of Fire fighting system including diesel and fire pumps.

Knowledge of drainage system for the hotel including main sewage station and all plumbing lines.

Operation and trouble shooting for Air conditioning system including Air handling units, fan coils, chillers and booster pumps

Full responsibility on the Ken-Fix programs for the Guest rooms and Public Areas. Full responsibility on the Engineering workshop: Painters, carpenters, polishers,

etc. Full knowledge for hotel operating systems : Telephone , T.V , Satellite networks
