Message about Sacred Heart of Jesus

We just entered into a new month. In catholic devo-tion, the month of June is dedicated to Sacred Heart of Jesus. In fact, when we see the Church history, where we find that Pope Innocent VI instituted a Mass in honor of the mystery of the Sacred Heart in 1353. Later on, Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque did pervade this devotion to the worldwide. Specifically, when we look into the sacred scripture, which refers the three kinds of Jesus’ heart. Hence, let us try to understand them one by one. The first kind of heart is the loving heart: In John’s gospel, Jesus says that Love one another, as I have loved you (13:34) and also, he says remain in my love (Jn15:9). It communicates us that his heart is full of love, in his heart, all have a special place. Above all, his heart moves beyond territory, religion, culture and status. The second kind of heart is the forgiving heart: Luke’s gospel (15:11-32) accurately describes the for-giveness of Jesus. Particularly, we find in the parable of prodigal son, the younger son kept saying his past sinful life but the father ignored everything. In addition, he ordered the servers to put him new cloth, new ring and arrange for the big feast. In fact, this context reveals a fact that the father did not bother about his errors in-stead, he was so happy to see his son turning back to him. The third kind of heart is accepting heart: We read in Luke’s gospel (19:1-10) that Zacchaeus realized his past life after encountering Jesus personally and he kept confessing his mischievous activities. Eventually, we see that he was ready to begin a new life while Jesus announced thus; he also belongs to the descendent of Abraham, which communicates us the accepting heart of Jesus. Therefore, Beloved, as we are travelling with sacred heart of Jesus, so also let us inherit those three kinds of hearts in our personal life, absolutely that would put us

close to God and to the humankind as well and God’s rewards definitely would be ours.

El mensaje sobre el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús

Apenas entramos a un nuevo mes. En la devoción católica, el mes de junio está dedicado al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. De hecho, cuando vemos la historia

de la Iglesia, donde encontramos que el Papa Inocencio VI instituyó una Misa en honor al misterio del Sagrado Corazón en 1353. Mas tarde, santa Margarita María Alacoque impregnó esta devoción por todo el mundo. Específicamente, cuando miramos la sagrada escritura, que se refiere a los tres tipos del corazón de Jesús. Entonces, vamos a verlos uno por uno. El primer tipo de corazón es el corazón amoroso: En el evangelio de Juan dice Jesús que, amarse unos a otros, como yo te he amado 13:34, en seguir dice él permanecer en mi amor (Jn15:9). Lo que nos comunica que su corazón está lleno de amor, en su corazón, todos tenemos un lugar especial. Sobre todo, su corazón va más allá del territorio, la religión, la cultura y el estado de la persona. El segundo tipo de corazón es, el corazón que perdona: El evangelio de Lucas (15: 11-32) describe el perdón de Jesús. Mientras vemos la vida del hijo pródigo, quien narró su vida pecaminosa pasada. Además, el padre ignoró todo y llamó a sus servidores para ponerle ropa nueva, anillo nuevo y organizar la gran fiesta. Aquí, entendemos visiblemente que el padre no miró sus errores, en cambio, estaba tan feliz de ver su hijo volverse hacia él. El tercer tipo de corazón es el corazón que acepta: Vemos en el evangelio de Lucas (19:1-10) que Zaqueo entendió su vida pasada después de encontrarse con Jesús personalmente y confesó su actividades traviesas. Vemos finalmente, que estaba listo para comenzar una vida nueva, mientras Jesús anunció que él también pertenece al descendiente de Abraham, que nos comunica el corazón de aceptación de Jesús. Entonces, Hermanos! así como viajamos con el sagrado corazón de Jesús, así también vamos a heredar esos tres tipos de corazones en nuestra vida personal.

Absolutamente, lo que nos pondría cerca de Dios y a la humanidad también y las recompensas de Dios serían nuestras definitivamente.

SACRIFICE Today the Church focuses on the Eucharist. Today’s readings remind us how connected to ancient blood sacri-fices we are when offering our unbloody sacrifice. The reading from Exodus describes a solemn ritual designed so the Israelites would never forget their covenant with God. The reading from the Letter to the Hebrews turns us from those ancient animal sacrifices, the first efforts to worship the living God. Our sacrifice is the body and blood of the Son of God. Because of Christ we have a new covenant. The Gospel from Mark retells the establishment of that covenant, the familiar story of the Last Supper. Jux-taposed with the story of animal sacrifice as it is here, we are challenged to listen with new at-tention, to remember the great price paid for our salvation. Jesus gave his body and every drop of his blood for us.

SACRIFICIO Hoy la Iglesia se centra en la Eu-caristía. Las lecturas de hoy nos re-cuerdan la gran conexión que existe entre los sacrificios de sangre de la antigüedad y el sacri-ficio incruento que ofrecemos ahora. La lectura del Éxo-do describe un rito solemne para que los israelitas nunca olviden su pacto con Dios. La lectura de la Carta a los Hebreos nos lleva de los antiguos sacrificios de animales a los primeros esfuerzos para adorar al Dios vivo. Nuestro sacrificio es el Cuerpo y la Sangre del Hijo de Dios. A causa de Cristo tenemos una nueva alianza. El Evangelio según San Marcos relata la creación de ese pacto, la conocida historia de la Última Cena. Si con-trastamos la historia del sacrificio de animales que vemos aquí, se nos desafía a escuchar con nueva atención, para recordar el gran precio que pagó por nuestra salvación. Jesús dio su cuerpo y cada gota de su sangre por noso-tros.

Baptism and Baptismal Preparation Classes

Baptism is an incredible gift from God. In this first sacrament of initiation, we receive the grace of forgiveness from original sin and all personal sins. In baptism, we become the adopted sons and daughters of God and members of His family, the church.

Baptisms are celebrated on the third Sunday of the month, 10:00am English and 12:00pm in Spanish, except during the seasons of Lent and Advent. Arrangements for baptism must be made in advance with the Parish Office by one parent. Par-ents and sponsors will need to attend a Baptismal Preparation

Class prior to the baptism.

El bautismo es un regalo increíble de Dios. En este primer sacramento de iniciación, recibimos la gracia del perdón del pecado original y todos los pecados personales. En el bautismo, nos convertimos en los hijos e hijas adoptados de Dios y los miembros de su familia, la iglesia.

Los bautismos se celebran el tercer domingo de cada mes, a las 10:00 a.m. del inglés y a las 12:00 p.m. en español, excepto durante la temporada de Cuaresma y Adviento. Los arreglos para el bautismo deben hacerse por adelantado con la Oficina Parroquial por uno de los padres. Los padres y patrocinadores deberán asistir a una clase de preparación bautismal antes del bautismo.
