- deleting SYSLOG - *F J=job#,C or *F J=SYSLOG,C,N=ALL

- JSTCTAB - in JES3.STC.PROCLIB - table in JSTC00 - use CLIST JSTCVER to verify utilization of members

- starting DSPs after a cold start *X NJERDR *X DEADLINE *X FLS

- JES3 APPL name - see COMMDEFN (default is JES3)

- JES3 device macros - IATDEVA to add a device statement IATDEVA aaaa-aaaa type MOD on the model line

- IATDEVC to modify a device statement

- The doc is in the JES3 Customization manual.

- JES3 labels - client updates BELLZY.LABEL.MASTER - copied to JES3.LABEL.MASTER nightly - format of label:

sssi where SS is the sequence in the member SI is the SI code corresponding to member name - if the SS numbers are out of order, the member will not be loaded and all subsequent members will not be loaded - *X LABEL,L=xxxx displays label xxxx

- to use a label, include the DD card in JCL:

//LOCAL1 OUTPUT DEST=LOCAL,COPIES=1,WRITER=LABLss,CLASS=X

where "ss" corresponds to the sequence number within the SI code within the member.

- JES3 mods associated with LABELS:

MJ3LBDT - label data area loaded by UXLB MJ3GRPT - all of Bell's DSPs are in this MOD MJ3UTLB - code for LABEL DSP (loading and displaying) MJ3UXLB - label print routine

- Printing differences between SYGMA1 and xxxGPC. - UX20 checks for PRODUCTION-JRR card, - if present, BCOWFLG1 is ORed with BCOWPROD - this causes printing of DUE OUT information and labels, also PROD

- Logging on to an RJP work station - LOGON APPLID(jes3appl) DATA(wsname, password)

where: jes3appl is the VTAM minor node defined for SNARJP on the COMMDEFN,APPLID=JES3,LU=255 statement the default is JES3 wsname is the SNA/RJP workstation name

- Abends - DM133 is not a problem (failing a writer causes this)

- Compress a JES3 PROCLIB - specify the following on the MAIN card: //*MAIN ....,UPDATE=(proclibname)

- the proclib will be disabled for the duration of the job and any job needing this proclib will wait.
