The Warmth of an Clay Ceramic Pan

This Clay Ceramic pan is produced one by one as Yokkaichi pottery to provide the warmth of Clay Ceramic.

* Any color irregularities, bumps, depressions or patterns in the glaze are unavoidable product characteristics of the manufacturing process of clay ceramic pans. They do not signify problems with the quality, so you can use with safety.

High heat-storage performance and superior infrared effect

The high heat-storage performance allows heat to penetrate to the core of the rice kernels, producing soft, delicious rice, while the superior infrared effect lets you enjoy browned rice.

In addition, you can use the pan right at the table, in place of your regular rice container. (Be sure to use a pot pad etc.)

Superior thermal shock resistance and heat resistance

Because ceramic materials are used, the thermal shock-resistant and heat-resistant properties are superior to those of other regular Clay Ceramic pans.

●Adding vegetables and meat to your riceTotal ingredient amount should be less than 70 g for each cup of rice.Stir the water, seasoning and rice well. And then place the ingredient on top of the rice. Ingredient must be chopped finely. There is the maximum cooking amount for each menu, see the chart below.* For the quantity of rice cooked, see P. 15, 53.

•Do not cook with an empty inner pan. Do not cool the pan quickly.

•Use the Keep Warm function for white rice only; do not use it for other rice types, such as Mixed Rice or Bean Rice.

•Do not use vinegar in the inner pan.•Use only the supplied spatula or wooden spatulas. •Do not use hard utensils, such as metal ladles, spoons or whisks.

•Do not place colanders or strainers inside the inner pan.•Do not place tableware or other hard utensils in the inner pan to wash them.

•Do not use hard materials such as metal or nylon scrubbers to clean the inner pan.

•Do not use a dishwasher/dryer.

●If the inner pan is damaged, scratched or cracked, please contact the store where you purchased the rice cooker.

●The fluorine treatment of the inner pan may become worn with use, leading to peeling, but this is not harmful to the human body, and does not affect the cooking or heat retention performance. If you are worried about it, or if there is deformation or corrosion, you can purchase a new one. Please contact the store where you purchased the rice cooker.

3 Using the Audio Guide / Adjusting the Volume/ Switching Languages

The audio guide and screen display can be switched between Chinese and English.

Audio Guide

If you select “Yes” when setting the audio guide, then every time you press a key, an audio guide will explain the operation and the setting performed by that key.

If you select “No” when setting the audio guide, a buzzer will sound every time you press a key.

Whether you press “Yes” or “No” when setting the audio guide, if you press Audio Guide , you will be guided through a series of operations.

Recognition: Yes or No.

If you select [Voice Recognition: Yes], you will be able to choose from 3 alert sounds.

Each time you press Hour ,

The volume can be adjusted in 3 levels. If you press Hour , the sound will be increased (louder volume),

Press either Hour or Min to switch between Chinese and English. (The rice cooker is set to English as a factory default setting.)If you switch languages, the language for both the audio guide and the screen display will be changed.

The setting is completed, and the regular display returns.

When you want the audio guide to be repeated

To listen to the audio guide again, press Audio Guide .

You can repeat the audio guide as often as you want by pressing Audio Guide before proceeding to the next operation.

To cancel an operation

1 Measure rice and put it into the inner pan.

Be sure to measure using the supplied measuring cup. * If you use a different rice measure or other

measuring cup, a measuring error may occur.When measuring rice, the rice should be level with the top of the cup (about 0.18 L).Use only the quantities listed in the chart to the right. Otherwise, the rice may not be cooked properly.

2 Rinse rice by hand. (Rice can be rinsed in the inner pan.)

Put the rice into the inner pan, and fill with water. Stir vigorously, and immediately discard the water. Use cold water and rinse the rice quickly so that the rice cannot absorb anything from the water.

3 Rinsing the riceWith the heel of your hand, press down on the drained rice. Then fill the pot with water, stir the rice quickly, and discard the water. Do this 4-5 times until the water remains clear.

4 Place the inner pan on a level surface and adjust the water level to the scale on the inside of the inner pan.

Check the type of rice and the menu. Adjust the water volume according to personal preference.

For example: When cooking three cups of polished rice, adjust the water level to the [3] on the “Plain rice” scale.

Select a good-quality rice. Choose freshly polished, glossy rice of the same grain size. Store it in a cool, dark, well-ventilated place.

To cook rinse-free rice Use the supplied cup for rinse-free rice as well. Add the rinse-free rice and water to the inner pan, then thoroughly stir the rice from the bottom so that all grains are immersed in water. (Simply pouring water on top of the rice from above does not submerge all of the rice and can prevent the rice from cooking properly.)

If the water clouds up when added to the rice, it is recommended to rinse the rice 1 or 2 times. (The clouding is caused by the starch, not the bran. Rice that cooks in cloudy water can burn or not cook properly, and the water can boil over.)

* Do not adjust water amount more or less than 1/3 level from original water level marks.

* When cooking haiga rice, rolled barley, germinated brown rice, semi-polished rice and multi-grain rice, add water to the [Plain rice] scale of the inner pan.

* Some germinated brown rice and multi-grain rice packages specify the quantity of water required to cook. Please refer to package directions.

The measuring scale on the inner pan is the recommended amount.Adjust based on your preferences; each family can cook rice with the firmness and the bottom crust they like.

Adding vegetables and meat to your rice Total ingredient amount should be less than 70 g for each cup of rice. Stir the water, seasoning and rice well. And then place the ingredient on top of the rice. Ingredient must be chopped finely. There is the maximum cooking amount for each menu, see the chart below.

When the rice cooker enters the Steaming stage, the time before completion of steaming will be displayed in 1-minute increments.

When cooking is completed, an alert will be sounded. The Keep Warm function will be automatically activated, and the Keep Warm lamp will light up.

Rice Crust When the rice is cooked, there will be a rice crust; when loosening the rice, the crust may be mixed in. During warming, the fragrant rice crust formed during cooking will absorb water and soften, lessening the flavor.

To keep rice warm and delicious Do not keep doing the following, which may cause odors, drying out, stickiness, color changes, spoilage or corrosion of the inner pan.• Keeping rice warm for longer than 12 hours• Keeping foods other than white rice warm (Mixed Rice,

CautionLifting the inner pan while warming cancels the warming function.

Do not unplug the rice cooker without first canceling the warming function. (When you plug it in again, the Keep Warm lamp will be lit, and you won't be able to cook rice.) Do not store for long periods of time with the commercially available cloth (for absorbing condensation) in place. Doing so can cause mold and mildew.

1 Stir and loosen the cooked rice.Mound the rice slightly inside the inner pan so that no grains stick to the sides of the pan. * Due to the thermal storage properties of the

earthenware, small amounts of rice sticking to the sides of the pan may become dried out.

Wipe off any condensation that drips on the upper casing or outer surface of the rice cooker when you lift the lid after cooking is finished or during warming.

■When using the inner pan as a serving containerWhen the rice is cooked, remove the inner pan from the main unit, cover with a commercially available cloth (for absorbing condensation), and then cover with the pan lid to use as a serving container. The inner pan will be hot, so take care not to burn yourself. Place the inner pan on a pot holder or similar item to keep the table from being damaged.

11 Cooking Steamed Dishes (Steam Menu)

Keep Warm for Steam When steaming is finished, the rice cooker will automatically keep the food warm. The elapsed time will be displayed in 1-hour units, up to 6 hours. If 6 hours is exceeded, a flashing 6 will be displayed.

When steaming is finished, press Cancel and immediately remove the ingredients. If you leave them in the rice cooker, the condensation on the inner lid will drip on the food, making it sticky. Consume as soon as possible.

14 Cleaning and MaintenanceAny other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.● Clean the rice cooker the same day it is used to maintain cleanliness. Thoroughly clean the rice cooker regularly.● Food odors can linger after rice cooking or cooking other foods; therefore, deodorize on the same day after

using the rice cooker. (See P.45)

To prevent damage to rice cooker do not use alkaline cleaning agents when cleaning. Do not use a dishwasher or a dryer. This may cause deformations. Do not pull on the lid gasket. Once removed, it cannot be reattached. After washing the inner lid, check that the rubber gasket is not displaced. If displaced, reattach it. (See P.44, 45) Do not place cutlery, etc. inside the inner pan and use the inner pan to wash them in. Do not stack cutlery in the inner pan while drying it. Doing so may damage the inner pan. After cooking mixed grains (amaranthus, etc.), be sure to clean the steam cap. If the steam cap becomes clogged, malfunctions may occur, such as not being able to open the lid or not being able to cook foods properly. Be careful not to damage the heating element on the bottom of the inner pan. Do not use the inner pan if the heating element is dirty or greasy. When the element becomes dirty, clean it immediately.

The fan makes a humming noise when it is operating; this is not a malfunction. When the IH is operating, it makes a high-pitched whining noise or a noise that sounds like "chiriririri." These do not signal malfunctions.

语音向导和显示画面可以在「中文」和「英文」间进行切换。

5 选择菜单，煮饭

糙米 · 杂粮米混合白米煮饭时◆糙米·杂粮米比白米多时，请选择「OtherGrains· ・

BrownRice」菜单煮饭。

◆在与白米同量、或白米多时，请选择「White

尽早食用。

关于锅巴

◆煮好的米饭有锅巴，因此，翻动米饭时，会有锅巴混

在米饭里。

◆刚煮好米饭时，香喷喷的锅巴也随保温时间的经过，

吸收水分而变得柔软，致使锅巴的风味受到影响。

为了不失风味的保温

◆请不要进行以下形式的保温，以免造成米饭有气味、

干巴巴、粘呼呼、变色、腐烂或腐蚀内锅等情况

·12小时以上的保温

·白米以外（MixedRice·BeanRice）的保温

·保温冷饭

·添入冷饭

·饭勺留在内锅里一起保温

·拔掉插头保温

·少于最小煮饭量的保温

（请参照P.67·105的规格表）

·在内锅边缘和垫圈类上粘附有饭粒等状态下保温

·米饭弄成圈形状保温

◆在保温少量米饭时，应将米饭集中到内锅中央，并且

尽早食用。

◆请不要进行12小时以上的预约煮饭。

◆使用环境恶劣的情况下，（如寒冷地带或高温区域）请

尽早食用。

注意在保温过程中，如拿起内锅，将会自动取消保温。

◆请不要在没有取消保温的状态下，拔掉插头。（下次煮

饭时由于保温指示灯灯亮，无法煮饭。）

◆请不要将布（去水分用）在潮湿的状态下放置过久。

以免造成发霉·发黑。

1翻动米饭

翻松米饭，以免饭粒粘附于内锅侧面。

※由于土锅的蓄热性，粘附于内锅侧面的少量饭粒，会

在保温过程中被干燥。

饭刚煮好后或保温过程中，打开上盖，水滴流落于上框

或外侧时，请擦拭干净。

■内锅直接放在餐桌使用时饭煮好后，取出内锅，罩上市场销售的布（去水分用），

然后盖上土锅盖，就可以代替饭桶使用。此时因为内锅

很热，请小心烫伤。

另外，请务必垫上锅垫等使用，以免损伤餐桌。

关于「Steam」的保温

◆蒸制结束后，直接跳到保温。

保温经过时间，以1小时为单位可显示到6小时。当超

◆蒸好后，按下 Cancel 键，马上取出烹调品。如果继续放置，粘附于内盖的水滴滴落，会使食品变得粘呼呼，

3 お米をとぐかるく水をきったお米を、手のひらのつけ根の部分で押しつけるようにとぐ。次にたっぷりの水を加えてすばやく水をすてる。これを水のにごりがなくなるまで4～ 5回続ける。

良いお米を選ぶ◆ 精米日の新しい、粒のそろったつやのあるお米を選ぶ。◆ 保存は風通しの良い、涼しくて暗い場所に。

無洗米を炊くとき◆ 無洗米も付属の計量カップではかる。◆ 無洗米と水を入れた後、ひと粒ひと粒が水になじむよ

うに、底からよくかき混ぜる。（上から水を入れただけだと、お米が水になじまず、うまく炊けない原因。）

◆ 水を入れて白くにごるときは、1～ 2回水を入れ替えてすすぐことをおすすめします。（白くなるのは米のデンプン質でぬかではありませんが、そのまま炊くと、こげすぎたり、ふきこぼれや、うまく炊けない原因。）

おこげについて◆ 炊きあがったごはんにはおこげがありますので、ごは

んをほぐしたとき、おこげが混ざることがあります。◆ 炊きあがったときは香ばしいおこげも、保温時間の

経過とともに水分を吸ってやわらかくなり、おこげの風味が損なわれます。

おいしく保温するために◆ におい・パサつき・ベタつき・変色・腐敗や内なべ

の腐食などの原因になるため、下記のような保温はしない。・ 12時間以上の保温・白米以外のごはん（Mixed Rice・Bean Riceなど）

の保温・冷やごはんの保温・冷やごはんのつぎ足し・しゃもじを入れたままの保温・コンセントを抜いての保温・最小炊飯量以下の保温（最小炊飯量→P.119・

11 蒸し料理を作る（「Steam」メニュー）

「Steam」の保温について◆ 蒸しが終わると、そのまま保温を続けます。保温経過時間は、1時間単位で6時間まで表示されま

リチウム電池を内蔵していますので、差込プラグを抜いても現在時刻や予約時刻を記憶し続けます。● リチウム電池は、差込プラグを抜いた状態で4～5年

の寿命があります。● リチウム電池が切れると、差込プラグを差し込むと「0：00」が点滅します。通常の炊飯はできますが、現在時刻や予約時刻、保温経過時間の記憶は、差込プラグを抜くと消えてしまいます。

新しいリチウム電池との交換は、お買い上げの販売店にお問い合わせください。

リチウム電池は、お客様ご自身では交換できません。

14 お手入れのしかた

汚れるたびにお手入れする箇所内ぶたのはずしかた・つけかた

◆ 本体を水につけたり、水をかけたり、本体内部に水を入れたりしない。

◆ 本体底部の吸気孔・排気孔に、ほこりなどが付着したままで使用しない。

本体内部の温度が上がり、故障や火災の原因。

◆ ふたパッキン・内ぶたパッキンは引っぱらない。はずすと、再度取りつけられなくなります。
