Russian Korean Cooperation Center forEnergy and Environment Technology

The Russian Korean Cooperation Center forEnergy and Environment Technology wasestablished in Moscow in 1994. It aims atacquiring fundamental and advanced tech-nologies that have practical aspects for researchand industrial use. For that purpose, Russianscientists are invited into joint research, and thesharing of research facilities and equipment ispromoted. The center, as a legal entityestablished in Russia, has played a pivotal role inpromoting R&D in energy technologies

� Technology Transfer

The Technology Transfer Center aims topromote dissemination of energy technology bythe transfer and commercialization oftechnology developed by KIER, also by thebusiness incubation for energy technologycompanies and the provision of training andeducation programs as well as the distributionof energy technology information

� Testing and Evaluation forEnergy Technology

The Testing and Evaluation Center for EnergyTechnology was established and is currently inoperation for the standardization andglobalization of energy technology through theintegrated management of performance testingand evaluation functions on energy equipmentand technology with energy related testing andanalysis (previously carried out by KIER): thus, itpromotes efficiency and establishes the basisfor a research center specializing in performancetesting, certification and evaluation

� Energy R&D PolicyThe Energy R&D Policy Team’s mission is toestablish KIER’s management goal and strategiesincluding long-term development strategies:exploring and selecting top-priority R&D areasand future promising R&D projects: as well as anoverall R&D plan and detailed plans of action
