PALIMPSET#04RIVERFRONT DESIGN PROJECTLOCATION : CHAOPHAYA RIVER, BANGKOKLENGTH : 7 KM As a result of rapid growth in industrial and eco-nomical business, Bangkok is now encountering many en-vironmental problems, such as water pollution, air pollu-tion, crimes, and also the lack of green spaces, which act as a solution toward pollution and urban mental illness. Comprises with plenty of Bangkok’s Brownfi eld site left overs such as old factory, pier, dump site, gas station and futuristic urban development strategy aiming to catego-rize and develop brownfi eld sites into public green space within the next 25 years. The characteristic of these stated sites show multiple potentials; proper size, location, ac-cessibility, utility and facility. Our design concept comes from the word “Pa-limpset” which mean the usage of trace left in certain place by refl ects it in the design. We have chosen to de-velope the brownfi eld sites along the Choaphaya River. Our strategy divided into three phases, fi rst the leftover spaces, mostly green space, along the northern side of the river. Second, the active wood factories that are about to close. And the last one, active sites such as beer distillery and governmental area that in the upcoming future will cease operation and move where else.

ABSORB PARK#05BROWNFIELD DESIGN PROJECTLOCATION : AMPHOE MUEANG, RAYONGAREA : 102 RAI As a result of rapid growth in industrial and popu-lation, Rayong is now encountering many environmental problems, such as water pollution, air pollution, crimes, and also the lack of green spaces, which act as a solu-tion toward pollution and urban mental illness. At the same time, the progressing urban development caused the inner city of Hamburg to move closer to the landfi ll hill. Therefore, it stood to reason that when the landfi ll is transformed into the Energy Hill, its green areas would be-come a convenient spot for local recreation. But the new landscaping plan was also supposed to make clear that the Energy Hill is a technical construction which requires ongoing control and treatment by the generations of our children, our children’s children and beyond.
