    Theseeds,fruitandleavesofMilkThistlehavebeenusedsincetheRomantimesasalivertonic,excellentfoodforcattleandhorses.ThestandardizedextractSilymarinisusedinsupportivetherapyofliverdisorderlikestimulatesproteinsynthesisinhepaticcells,improvesdisturbedhepaticfunctions.Itcontainsmixtureofflavonoidswhichcontributegreatlytodietarysourcesofantioxidantsandtheirintakesdecreasedtheriskofcoronaryheartdiseasesandincreasesimmunitytoinfectiouscellsandinhibitthegrowthoftumors.NUTRITIONALCOMPOSITIONOFMILKTHISTLESEEDS

    MilkThistleProtein:Thedefattedseedscontainanexcellentqualityandquantityofprotein,rangingfrom2024%.Thequalitativeanalysisofproteinhydrolyzaterevealedtenaminoacids.AmongtheseAsparticacid,Glutamicacid,Glycine,andcystinwerethemajoraminoacids.ThereforetheMilkThistlemealasbyproductafteritscrushforoilcouldbeusedasahighproteinanimalandpoultryfeed.Theuniquecompositionofaminoacidsandimportantnutritionalmineralsmakeitrichfeed.MILKTHISTLEOIL
