For over 70 years NICOPRESS products have been used by military, aircraft and wire rope professionals to terminate aircraft control cables, steel and stainless steel wire rope and synthetic or fibre rope.

• NICOPRESS have determined through pull testing that copper, plated copper and stainless steel NICOPRESS Oval Sleeves will hold wire rope in tension until it breaks, when the cable is manufactured to specifications EN:12385 for cable constructions 3x7, 7x7, 7x19, 6x19 and 6x36 IWRC.

• A well proven system that has been used to terminate wires in the aviation industry for over 55 years

• NICOPRESS ferrules have a distinctive shape which neatly separates the wires

• System is ideally suited to hand crimping wires in theatres, outdoor events, art installations, balustrade, boatyard and aerodrome situations

• NICOPRESS tools are a great improvement on the hand crimpers which are designed for BS and DIN ferrules because the crimping head is slightly reduced in thickness at the point of contact with the ferrule so far more pressure is exerted

Nicopress® Ferrules The Nicopress® ferrules that Flints supply are made from solid copper plated with eitherzinc or tin. For stainless steel wire ropes choose the tin plated ones but for galvanised wire rope choose the zinc plated ferrules. Nicopress® ferrules can be distinguished from British Standard or DIN ferrules by their shape whichslightly separates the two wires. Nicopress ferrules are not suitable for fibre core cables. Flints can, of course, supplyall the wire ropes which are listed in our main catalogue and on our website - flints.co.uk

Tip: Using the Nicopress system is very satisfying but there is a bit of craft and skill involved. We would recommend that you practise on one or twoferrules and a scrap of wire before undertaking your project. We have made a little video which we hope will help you. Youtube - FlintsTheatre.

Nicopress® Stops The stops are unplated copper and are suitable for stainless and galvanised steel wireropes. Battery Powered Compression Tool This is the lat-est Nicopress® 5606 model featuring an increased range up to 3/8”or 10 mm.
