「法醫學科」館藏資源示意圖

一、學科範圍
法醫學與公共衛生學並稱為國家醫學，分為基礎法醫學及應用法醫學。基礎法醫學的範
疇為傷亡成因、機轉、病理學、毒物學、屍體變化、犯罪心理學等等基礎學理研究；應用法
醫學則是協助司法的調查（如現場勘查、生體檢查、屍體勘查、書類檢查等）、立法時的參
考（提供醫學相關知識）及行政上的應用。
以分科而言，法醫學科包含有：法醫病理學、法醫毒物學、法醫物證學、法醫人類學、
臨床法醫學、法醫血清學、法醫分子生物學、法醫精神學、法醫牙科學、法醫相驗及解剖
等，除了研究各種基礎醫學相關知識，更包含各科臨床醫學及衛生學，以解決各項法律上醫
學與自然科學之問題。
「事莫大於人命，罪大莫於死刑，殺人者抵法故無恕，施刑失當心則難安，故成指定獄
全憑死傷檢驗。倘檢驗不真，死者之冤未雪，生者之冤又成，因一命而殺兩命數命，仇報相
循慘何底止」 （洗冤錄集證）。運用各種法醫學技能協助司法釐清各項疑點，還原事情真
相，保障基本人權，維護社會正義，是法醫學的最大目的。
