  • UvodGrafički medij, ili umetnost multioriginala, od svog nastanka pa sve do danas nezamisliv je bez umnožavanja otisaka i ostavljanja utisaka. Stvaran u mukotrpnoj i često veoma kompleksnoj seriji priprema, otisak na listu pokazao se otpornim na sve mene, prilagodljivim neprekidnoj smeni tehnoloških inovacija i podatnim poput jezika kojim opisujemo procese u kojima nastaje. Sagledamo li, stoga, i u ovom slučaju stvari na onom često pojednostavljujućem ali neizbežnom terenu – terenu etimologije, zapanjićemo se u kojoj meri je to dvojstvo tehnike i kulture, i kreacije i recepcije u mediju grafike neodvojivo. Pravljenje grafike, operativni postupak u kojem nastaje otisak, kao svoju neophodnost zahteva pritisak koji vršimo rukom ili presom. Kada iz tog sudbinskog susreta matrice i podloge iskrsne nova mogućnost – čudo života nanovo vaspostavljeno saradnjom tehnike i likovnosti – analogija rada prese i (im)presije, tiska i (u)tiska i pečata i (u)pečatka postaje još većma jasnija. Zbog tih mogućnosti, da na najfinije načine izražava i umnožava slutnje, vaspostavlja neponovljive perspektive viđenog, ali i nagoveštava burne preobražaje u tkivu vremena, grafika se tokom istorije nalazila u najrazličitijim oblicima upotrebe i zloupotrebe. Kao oblik izražavanja, koji se bazira na striktnim operativnim postupcima iz kojih crpi svoje medijske i manirističke osobenosti, i kao estetski artefakt u kojem se posvećeno i znalački uživa, ovaj medij često je bio povlastica i komoditet viših slojeva društva. Sa druge strane, njegov rano uočeni medijski potencijal, da sa lakoćom širi i umnožava informacije, poučava i poziva na delovanje, činio ga je slugom društva, religije i ideologije, pomagalom pedagogije i pratećim sadržajem teksta, dok ga u eri digitalnih tehnologija sve više sagledavamo kao prethodnicu medija bez čijeg rada je celokupna naša egzistencija nezamisliva. Odgovarajući na sve te izazove, bilo tehničke, komunikacijske, estetske, ili društveno - istorijske, snaga kojom se grafika utisnula u sveukupnu pojavnost naše civilizacije upečatljivija je tim više što je često i neprimetna. Kako će u ovom, metežnom i nimalo obećavajućem veku odgovoriti na te iste zahteve – da li će biti neznatni estetski kuriozitet, tržišni medijum ponude i potražnje ili podzemni i nepokolebljivi agens kritičkog mišljenja – ostaje nam da vidimo. Pouzdan putokaz da o svemu tome donekle stvorimo sigurniji utisak je izložba pred nama, izložba koja prerasta u tradiciju sa globalnom pozornošću i internacionalnim renomeom – četvrta izložba Bijenala grafike u Čačku.

    IntroductionThe printmaking medium, or multi-original art, since its beginning up to nowadays, has been impossible without copying prints and leaving imprints. Having been created in a hard-labouring and often highly complex series of preparations, the printmaking copy has proved itself to be resistant to all the phases, adaptable to endless changes of technological innovations and it has been tender like a language that is used to describe the processes in which it is created. Therefore, if we view, in this case as well, the things in that frequently simplified, but inevitable field – the field of etymology, we’ll be astonished how much that duality of technique and culture, as well as creation and reception in the printmaking medium is overwhelming. The execution of a print, the operating procedure in which the print is created, as its necessity, demands a pressure we apply with our hand or a press. When from that fatal encounter of the matrix and the base, a new possibility appears – a miracle of life is established again owing to the collaboration of a technique and visual art – the analogy of the work of the press and (im)pression, the print and (im)print and the impress and (im)pressibility becomes much clearer. Owing to these possibilities of expressing and multiplying premonitions in the finest ways, of establishing unrepeatable perspectives of the seen, but also of hinting violent changes in the tissue of time, printmaking has existed in the most different forms of use and abuse in the course of history. As a form of expression, which is based on the strict operating procedures from which it draws its media and mannerism features, and as an aesthetic artefact that one can devotedly and knowingly enjoy, this medium has often been a privilege and commodity of higher social classes. On the other hand, its early noticed media potential to have the facility in spreading and multiplying pieces of information, to teach and call for action, has made it to be a servant of a society, religion and ideology, a helper of pedagogy and the accompanying content of a text, whereas in the era of digital technologies, it is much more seen as a predecessor of media without which our whole existence is unimaginable. Responding to all these challenges, being either technical or communicative, either aesthetic or socio-historical, the power by which printmaking is imprinted in the universal phenomenon of our civilization is more impressive because it is often even imperceptible. How will printmaking respond to all these same demands in this busy and not at all promising century? Will it be an insignificant aesthetic curiosity, a market medium of supply and demand or an underground and firm agent of critical thinking? A reliable marker, which helps us to make a bit safer impression about all this, is the exhibition before us, the exhibition that has been becoming a tradition with global attention and international reputation – the Fourth Biennial of Printmaking in Čačak.

  • Grafički melanž

    Četvrto grafičko bijenale u Čačku, Srbiji, sve se više definiše i pozicionira u širim međunarodnim prostorima sa svojim specifičnim organizacijskim i idejnim konceptom. Izgrađeno je i realizovano sa čistim entuzijazmom i ljubavlju prema grafici. Uspešno je izbegnut sterilni elitizam. Svi oblici i pozicije stvaranja grafičkog multipliciranja su odabrani i predstavljeni: grafički list realizovan tradicionalnom grafičkom tehnikom, minijaturama, ex libris, studentskom grafikom, digitalnim istraživanjima i video-zapisima kao odrazom grafičke refleksije. Ovo bijenale primarno - ispituje vizuelni govor, simboliku i raznoliku estetiku, koje ujedinjuju arhetip i vizija budućnosti novog pogleda na svet, sveta bez apokaliptičkih stresova i "stvarnosti", koji ubijaju stvaralački duh. Ta želja za novim perspektivama je u stvari specifični naglasak i prezentacija različitih horizonta, ljudskog habitusa, kroz mnoštvo grafičkih testamenata. U vreme ozbiljnih i teških promena ljudskog opstanka, koje najviše imaju za cilj uništavanje istinskog ljudskog postojanja - stvaranjem, kreativnošću, duhovnom komunikacijom, spiritizmom ... pojava i opstanak ovakvih manifestacija, kao što je bijenal u Čačku, svojevrsni je odgovor ili ostrvo na kojem je čak i duboko ljudsko duhovno postojanje zaštićeno, negovano, sačuvano. Bez ovih svetionika, postoji ozbiljna opasnost da čovečanstvo bude preparirano u neosetljivom, gotovo mrtvom, robotskom, istorijskom eksponatu. Srbija kroz ove grafičke međunarodne manifestacije - na čelu je duhovnog pohoda za spas ljudske ljubavi. Bijenale u Čačku, sa svojom melanžnom antologijom, trenutno je deo te duboke, značajne i jedine moguće humanističke orkestracije, koja, kroz grafički univerzum, otkriva suštinu iz koje je izgrađena ljudska misao, ljubav, san - zvezdana svetlost kosmičkog doma čitavog čovečanstva. Kroz sva vremena.

    Printmaking melange

    The Fourth Biennial of Printmaking in Čačak, Serbia, has increasingly been defined and positioned in broader international areas with its specific organizing and notional concept. It is created and realized with pure enthusiasm and love for printmaking.A sterile elitism is successfully avoided. All the forms and positions of the creation of printmaking multiplication are selected and performed: a printmaking copy executed with a traditional printmaking technique, miniatures, ex libris, student printmaking, digital researches and video records as a vision of printmaking reflection. This Biennial primarily examines visual speech, symbolism and various aesthetics, which are united by an archetype and vision of the future of a new view on the world, the world without apocalyptic stresses and “reality” which kill a creative spirit. The wish for new perspectives is, in fact, a specific emphasis and presentation of various horizons, human habitus, through numerous printmaking testaments. In the period of serious and hard changes of human survival, whose main goal has been a destruction of true human existence – with executing, creativity, spiritual communication, spiritualism … appearance and survival of such manifestations like the Biennial in Čačak, is a peculiar response or an island on which even a deep human spiritual existence is protected, cherished, saved. Without these lighthouses, there is a real danger for mankind to be stuffed in an insensitive, almost dead, robotic, historical exhibit. Through these printmaking international manifestations, Serbia is ahead of a spiritual march for the salvation of human love. The Biennial in Čačak, with its melange anthology, is now a part of that deep and only possible humanistic orchestration, which, through the printmaking universe, discovers the essence from which a human thought, love, dream – starry light of a cosmic home of the whole mankind have been created. Throughout all time.
