PROJECT MANAGEMENT

For the need of project execution MTA Engineering has developed Project Management System. All the procedures

specified in the system have been implemented into the intranet platform. The application consists of modules whose

cooperation is ensured by a common database supplied with contract data.

Project Management System is a complex tool which facilitates project organization, supports the optimization of pro-

ject work by means of ready to use solutions database. Its main goal is to ensure the control of the overall design

process.

STATISTICS

Static calculations of connections are done in accordance

with the procedures specified in the codes PN - EN 1993-

1-8, DIN 1880. Static calculation module is connected

with the main database gathering all contract informa-

tion. A large amount of connection types and their geo-

metrical variety allows for an optimal solution according

to the Client’s needs and requirements.

BE data management module is responsible for a struc-

ture design and the coordination of a designed object.

The object is represented in a 3D model. A unique feature

of this module management is a growing information

input about the object in real time. This feature enables

fast decision making process.

THE MAIN MODULES

This module includes a registration of work on the con-

nection modeling. The module enables the export of con-

nections geometry to 3D programmes (Tekla, Bocad,

Aveva). The functions available in the module allow for

the generation of the module status information.3D MODELING

The module has the database with information regarding

project documentation status. It also has a system of con-

trolling mechanisms which ensure that only thoroughly

verified documentation is distributed. The appropriate

control reports are generated. The database includes the

following information:

revision number, position weight, holds, client approval,

dates of approval, drawing number, revision description,

dispatch list, date of dispatch.

number, the date of introduction, the person respon-

documentation, sent to the client for approval with

information about weight of elements

The module includes the project schedule in the form of

Gantt chart. An interactive connection of particular pro-

ject scopes with the common database enables to follow

project work progress in real time. In the module it is pos-

sible to divide each particular project into smaller scopes

of work.SCHEDULE

The module enables the registration of all contract docu-

ments in the Project Management System. A regular regi-

stration of all Client documents ensures the control of

documents’ revisions. Each member of any project team

TASKS MANAGEMENT

The task management module is a significant tool of pro-

ject realization process. The module enables definition of

tasks in relation to category of works and the schedule.

Defined in this way tasks allow for full control of their exe-

cution status.

The module enables also a control of global human reso-

urces occupation. It gives a clear information about hu-

man resources division between projects and allows for

efficient management.

VERIFICATION

In the module there are verification reports for each pro-

ject stage. Included in the module control mechanisms

decrease significantly a risk of mistakes.

STATISTICS

The module enables tracking of Project Progress in the

scope of static calculations, modeling, documentation and

preparation of dispatch. The modules has also graphic

representation of project progress in the form of 3D

module.

The module consists of database with all automatic solu-

tions (macros) for static calculation of connections and

modeling split in element groups.
