The Central - Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link under construction forms part of an east-west strategic route along the north shore of Hong Kong Island, which serves to alleviate the traffic congestion along the existing Gloucester Road - Harcourt Road - Connaught Road Central corridor. The Project includes construction of a 4.5 km long dual three-lane trunk road with a 3.7 km long tunnel, connecting the Rumsey Street Flyover at Central with the Island Eastern Corridor at North Point near City Garden. Our Association is organising a site visit to help our members understand the Project with close up explanation of construction details. Details of the visit are as follows.
