Dear Parishioners, Peace and blessing! During this month of October, the Church re-minds us of the gi of the Rosary. A daily prayer, the rosary invites us to enter into the mysteries of Jesus through the eyes and heart of Mary. An observa on: I wonder how many of you, when going to the movies, make sure you enter the theater a er the movie has begun and make sure you leave before it is over. I would venture to say not many. Is not the Mass, our encounter with Jesus in Word and Sacrament, far more important? Please make an extra effort to arrive early and stay to the very end. It is all about respec ng Jesus. While emergencies happen, let it not be the norm. Our Gospel today reminds us that our faith en-ables us to believe that what we have offered in service to God, as his servants, can be made to produce a hundredfold. God bless you. In His Peace, Fr.

A LITTLE FAITH Today our readings are about faith, frustration,

and how much is enough. Habakkuk is a complainer hav-ing an argument with God. Timothy is encouraging a

community challenged by cowardice and the apostles want more faith than they have. Things aren’t happening fast

enough for any of them or for us. All of them and we want God to do something sooner rather than later and we want God to give us a reason to believe that it will all work out. What does God do? God puts it back on them—and us—telling Habakkuk to describe the world he wants; telling

the apostles to do more than the expected. Doing more with less is a familiar phrase today and a reminder that a little

faith may be enough even for the most difficult times.

October is the month of the Rosary

In this month of October, let us consider this beautiful prayer of the Rosary as a means

that we too can use in order to draw closer to Jesus and Mary by meditating on the great

mysteries of our salvation.
