PUBLISHED SEPTEMBER 2007
BACKGROUND
These guidelines outline:
• How to produce a new publication • Who pays for publications • The time it takes to produce a new publication • Distribution of publications • How to order existing publications
All Invest Australia publications are developed through the Marketing & Communications team (M&C), in consultation with industry teams, to maintain a strong corporate and professional image. The M&C team provides design, printing and distribution services, whether for print or electronic distribution.
When planning a publication, it is important to involve the M&C team as early as possible and adhere to the following guidelines, which cover both the production and distribution of publications.
HOW DO I PRODUCE A NEW PUBLICATION?
1. Obtain your General Manager's approval to produce a new publication.
2. Fill out a publication brief, which determines: • Messages to communicate • The audience you want to reach • Budget and size of publication • Images to be sourced • Quantity required (if printed) • Translations (if required) • Schedules (design, print, distribution) • Distribution strategy
3. Meet with the Marketing team to finish completing the publication brief, and then have it approved by your General Manager.
