The annual Regional Putonghua Debate Competition of Guangdong, Hong Kong

and Macau, sponsored by Radio Guangdong News Channel, Putonghua

Channel of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), and Tertiary Education Services

Office of Macao Special Administrative Region Government, is the highest level

of official debate competition in the region.

As part of the 100th anniversary celebrations of the University of Hong Kong

and the Debating Society of HKUSU, the competition of the Year 2012 will be

held in the Rayson Huang Theatre on campus on August 26th, 2012, with HKU

as the co-organizer of the competition.

Founded in 2004, the Mandarin Debate Team (MDT) under the Debating Society,

HKUSU has won a number of record-breaking achievements in competitions in

Hong Kong and abroad. As the 2011 champion of the College-level Mandarin

Debate Competition of Hong Kong, MDT will attend this year’s Regional

Putonghua Debate Competition and compete against Macao Polytechnic

Institute (the 2011 champion of Macao) and South China Normal University

(the 2011 1st-runner-up of Guangdong) for the regional championship.

粵港澳三地普通話辯論賽是由廣東電台新聞台、香港電台普通話台、澳門特別行

政區政府高等教育輔助辦公室共同主辦的粵港澳三地普通話辯論最高級別的賽

事。

作為香港大學百週年校慶、香港大學學生會演辯學會百週年慶祝活動的一部分，

2012年度粵港澳三地普通話辯論賽将於 2012年 8月 26日下午在香港大學黃麗

松講堂進行，香港大學為賽事協辦方。

香港大學學生會演辯學會下屬國語辯論隊成立於 2004 年。8 年来，港大国辩在

香港地区及海内外华语辩论比赛中屡创佳绩。作為 2011年度香港大專杯普通話

辯論賽（香港電臺主辦）冠軍，香港大學國語辯論隊將代表香港地區出戰粵港澳

三地普通話辯論賽，與 2011年澳門地區冠軍澳門理工學院、廣東地區亞軍華南

師範大學進行角逐，產生三地冠／亞／季軍。
