    BUKAS, LILIWANAG MGA TALAALAM mong Kapaskuhan na dahil nagkakabit na ng mga parol sa Edsa ang mga tauhan ng MMDA.

    MARIANNE BERMUDEZ

    REFUND =)

    Ni Paolo G. Montecillo

    INUTUSAN ng National Telecommunications Commissi-no (NTC) ang mga nangungunang kumpanya ng tele-pono na ibalik sa milyun-milyong subscriber nito ang

    sobrang singil sa mga text message na ipinadadala sa pa-mamagitan nila.

    Agad-agad ang pagpapatupadsa utos ng NTC na naglabas ngtatlong kautusan kahapon.

    These orders are immediatelyexecutory upon receipt, but thetelcos (telecommunications com-panies) have the right to appeal,sabi kahapon ni Dennis Babaran,legal director ng NTC.

    Sa tantya ng INQUIRER LIBREayaabot sa P1.42 bilyon ang kailan-gang ibalik ng Smart Communica-tions, Sun Cellular at Globe Tele-com sa mga subscriber nito.

    Ayon sa NTC, sobra ng 20 sen-timos ang singil ng mga telco sabawat text (P1 sa halip na 80 sen-timos) na ipinadala sa pagitan ngmga magkakaibang telco. Ito aymula pa noong Disyembre ng2011.

    Hindi saklaw ng kautusan angmga text na ipinadala sa loob ngnetwork ng isang kumpanya at mga

    gamit sa unlimited na promo.Umaabot sa 20 milyong textang ipinadadala mula sa isang net-

    work papunta sa iba pa, batay sarekord ng NTC noong 2010, angpinakabagong hawak ng ahensya.Ito ay 1 porsyento lang ng 2 bil-

    yong text na ipinadala sa loob ngisang araw sa Pilipinas, na mata-gal itinuring na texting capital ngmundo.

    Kung 20 milyon pa rin ang ipi-nadalang text sa pagitan ng mganetwork mula noong 2011 at 20sentimos ang kailangang ibalik,lalabas na aabot sa P1.42 bilyonang refund sa mga subscriber.

    Sa kabuoan ay may 100.65-mil-yong subscriber ang Globe, Smartat Sun sa katapusan ng Setyembre2012.

    Hindi nagkomento ang Smartat Sun pero sinabing hahanap silang ligal na sagot sa utos ng NTC.

    Dahil labis-labis maningil sa text,inutusan ang Smart, Globe, Sunibalik ibinayad ng mga subscribers
