Nahaharap si Arroyo, ngayonay kinatawan ng Pampanga, sailang kaso ng pandarambong naisinampa sa Department of Jus-tice at Office of the Ombuds-
man. Ilang linggo na siyangnasa St. Luke’s Medical Centersa Taguig City dahil sa isangkaramdaman sa gulugod.
“If the medical doctors find itnecessary and the Arroyo family
would request it from us, Ithink, as a humanitarian ges-
Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. naipagamot sa Amerika angkanyang sakit sa puso.
“So it would be in conso-nance with the President’s na-ture to, for humanitarian pur-poses, allow such travel abroadfor medical reasons,” aniya. CDB

Ayon kay MMDA Chair Fran-cis Tolentino, manghuhuli pa rin
sila ng mga naninigarilyo sakalsada sapagkat hindi pa naka-paglalagak ng P100,000 bondang mga nagpetisyon.
Sinabi pa niyang hihiling ngisang motion for reconsiderationsa hukuman ang MMDA.
Pinanindigan ni Tolentino na“planted” ang mga nagreklamo“and their arrest by our environ-mental enforcers was planned, that’s why we can say that somebusinessmen are interested in

Love Noteswhen we just have to let go of someone who means the world tous not because we want to but be-cause it is the right thing to do. Wecannot force anyone to love uswhen they don't want to love usanymore. We cannot beg someoneto stay when he wants to leave andbe with someone else. This is whatlove is all about. It is all about sac-rifice. It is all about learning. It is
all about accepting everythingwithout holding anything back orthrowing anything away. The endof love is not the end of l ife. It
should be the beginning of under- standing that love leaves for a rea- son. Love leaves with a lesson andit is only when we learn from itthat we are able to earn the wis-dom and the courage move on and
find love again.

Some good things never last
Her personality was so different frommine. She loved thenight life while I wasa homebody withoutany vice at all.
Soon, I heard ru-mors that Anna likedme which I didn't re-ally believe. I was
surprised when sheasked me to be herescort on her 18thbirthday. I hesitated
but after much con- vincing by a mutualfriend, I finally agreed. I helped herprepare for the party and we became really close. I started to no-tice special thingsabout her, like howshe could easily make
me laugh. Before I re-alized it, I was fallingfor her. During thedebut, I surprised her
by singing her fa- vorite song. That wasthe start of our affair.
The twelve monthsthat followed werethe happiest monthsof my life. We com-plemented each otherin many ways. Shehelped me loosen up.She asked me to help
her cut down hersmoking and drink-ing. We always wentout together and eventalked about marriageand kids. But as thesong goes, some goodthings never last.
Things later be-came different andshe suddenly seemeddistant. She told methat I was suffocating
her so I gave hersome space. But it on-ly made things worse.Christmas came andshe asked me to go
with her family and
spend theholidays withthem. I really
wanted to go with her but I
also had tospend time with my fami-ly. The Christ-
mas break broughtabout so many changes in our rela-tionship. We used totalk endlessly on thephone but now shealways has excuses tocut our conversationshort. During thattime, I never thought
that something was wrong.
Our vacation end-ed and classes startedagain. I eagerly wait-ed for her arrival. Onthe day we met, she
was so cold. Shedidn't kiss or evenhug me. I thought she
was just exhaustedfrom her long trip. But I was wrong. She
told me we needed totalk and that worriedme. She was seeingPeter, my formerclassmate. They hadgotten together over
the break and metthrough the internet.
Pieces of the puz-zle slowly fell intoplace. Now I know
why she ended ourphone conversationsquickly, why she wasso cold, why she keptignoring my text mes-sages. She was in love
with somebody elseand it really hurt likehell. She betrayedme. I never evendoubted her faithful-ness. I trusted her somuch. She said she
was sorry that we had
to end our relation-ship. I was nothing toher but even so, she
was and still is every-thing to me.
I keep asking my-self what I did wrongor what I didn't do atall. She found herhappiness with anoth-er man and I don'tknow if I could do
just the same with an-
other woman. It washard for me to let hergo because she wasmy first love.
Joe, I still think about her constantly. I
wonder if she thinksof me too. I don'tknow how long it willtake to get over her.Maybe I never will
because she was thebest thing that everhappened to me. An-na, I will always love
you. Thank you forreading my letter,Joe. More power toLovenotes.
Sincerely, Anton
DEAR Anton,This is life's simple
fact. There can never
be any relationshipthat can claim immu-nity from failure. Peo-
ple are sometimes tornapart by forces beyondtheir control. Many of us make promises thatwe could not evenkeep. We vow to love
someone forever only to find ourselves
falling for another per- son. This attraction
can be so intense thatwe become selfishly in- sensitive to the needsof others. We resistreason and insist on
passion. Anton, be thankful
that Anna never played around longenough before she told
you she was in lovewith someone else. Thetruth sometimes hurtsbut it is always betterto be honest than tolie about what we re-ally feel. It was better
for you to have knownthe real reason behindher sudden coldnessthan to have been mis-led by some lame andunacceptable excuses.
Many of us whohave been left alone by
someone we dearly loved still wallow in
self pity and incessant-ly ask ourselves wherewe went wrong. Wewaste our time search-ing for answers thatmay never be revealedto us. Why can't we
just accept that lovedoesn't give us the li-cense to own a person- that love doesn't
guarantee perma-nence. There are times
DEAR Joe, Anna was my neighbor and schoolmate. I never really
thought much of her, although I admit that I found her at-tractive. I never liked her more than a friend and hersmoking and drinking habits turned me off.

Shakespeare rapsROLLING rap rhythms, com-plicated metaphors and high-energy hip-hop numbers.Sounds like a Gloc 9 concertor the latest FlipTop Battle inManila, yo? But it ain’t. It’sPhilippine Educational The-ater Association’s (PETA) newShakespeare rap musical,William.
Directed by PETA ArtisticDirector, Maribel Legarda,William familiarizes youngpeople with the beauty of Shakespeare’s works and re-invents the Bard using raprhythm and hip-hop beats.
Not surprising really sincethe Bard isn’t exactly that faroff from being one of the
world’s original rappers.Shakespeare’s works, just
like our rap hits today, arebased on beats, rhythm and
rhyme.He also first addressed the
themes of desire, greed, be-trayal, power, violence andlove, ages before Eminem did.Besides, Shakespeare just like
modern rappers today wrotefor ordinary people —hispeeps, and his signatureiambic pentameter was thebest street rhyming of histime.
The cast of William trainedrap under a true Tondo rap-per, Shielbert Manuel, a.k.a“O.G. Sacred” who has ap-
peared in the indie filmTribu
(Best Film, Cinemalaya 2007,Pari De L' Avenir, Festival deParis 2008) by Jim Libiran.
William features ten origi-nal rap songs composed by Jeff Hernandez. Songs such as“Pucha Bro”, “Nosebleed”, “OShakespeare”, “What’s In A Name” are fusions of variousmusic genres, like rock, soul, funk, RnB and hip-hop.“William” also utilizes anemerging form of rap, Flip-
Top, which is becoming morepopular among today’s youth. These rap numbers, chore-ographed by John Tan, (fromUrban Dance Crew) are per-formed along with various
hip-hop forms, such as:crumping, breakdance, ball-room and jazz hip-hop.
Be fear-less! Shake off yourShakes-fear. The Bard may beold and his English mightmake your nose bleed, but theBard sure knows how tobreak-it-down.
William play dates are Au-
gust 19-21, 26-28, September2-4, 9-11, 16-18, 23-25, 2011 with shows at 10:00 A.M. and3:00 P.M. The PETA TheaterCenter is located at No. 5 Ey-mard Drive, New Manila,Quezon City.

as actors, based on their per-sonal growth as a couple,”
said Direk Joey, who explainedthat the film is not a sequel of “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo.”
“It’s a completely differentstory. It’s about a man forcedto take care of the householdand kids while the wife works. It’s very today! It also deals
with mutual respect for therole of the sexes,” he said.
Juday and Ryan haveproven that the couple whohave fun together stays on top

If and when she and Jin-kee Pacquiao push through
