　　 Last Sunday Miss Harrison, our English teacher, and I went to the Summer Palace. We had a good time and didn’t leave until six o’clock in the afternoon. We were hungry and went into a restaurant.

　　 Miss Harrison wanted to order One-Thousand-Year-Old Eggs. What?! Where could we find eggs with such a long 　history? I was puzzled until she showed me the picture in the menu: They were just preserved eggs.

　　 I told Miss Harrison, “I’d like a dish of 　 Lion’s Head.” This time, she was puzzled. 　“ Do people eat lions here? I’ve never 　 thought of eating lion meat.” I smiled andsaid, “Just wait and see.” When the waiter served the dish of meat balls, we both laughed.

　 You see, what fun it is to translate dishes into English!
