VILLAGE BY THE RIVER水滨村落
CARVED CANYON雕刻峡谷
EXCAVATED TERRACE景观梯田
坐落于黄浦江东岸,置身沿河城市景观之中的“村落”,以台地式的空间组合给行人带来优雅的空间印象。自毗邻的奥林匹克游泳中心前来的漫步者们将会被吸引到渐变而上的正交式广场,感受其构筑成的自然肌理。由步道和栖木交织而成的“村落”提供了一个行人尺度的公共交流及互动的平台。在提供了一系列视觉及感觉层面与周围景观互动的空间“高潮”的同时,该方案亦坚固了对于社区基础活动的服务,包括了社区会议中心,儿童医疗服务,以及充足的公共绿地和水景节点。(这些单元均包括了商业与办公功能)。“村落”将行人的空间高度感受定义到了一个更新的高度。因此它将是连接城市地面与上空,观赏与被观赏空间,并使人能感受到扩建后前滩新面貌的未来城市空间终端。
“峡谷”方案的灵感取自于自然界的宏伟壮阔,通过尺度上的比例关系,营造沉思与敬畏之感。自临近高速穿梭而过的人们会惊讶于这些仿佛自发从土地迸发而出的构筑物---它们的确欺骗了人们的眼睛,因为那些“坚硬”的城市室外空间。当试图去探索隐藏在其中的内部空间时,无论在街道层面,还是地下的零售环道,你都会发现自己置身于巨大的土地碎块之中。而这些碎块被反射的表面,富有层次感的肌理,以及茂盛的室内绿化所构成的空间元素一并渲染着,仿佛呈现在“聚光灯”下。那些“城市裂缝”在此方案中承载着主要商业空间的功能。他们将人流从城市导向河流,柔和地将天空与阳关渗透给他们。
“梯田”仿佛天成于大地,雕琢于浦江,和谐地融合于城市与自然景观之中,创造了一片由史与未来共同定义的神往之地。造型独特的高层写字楼如同镶嵌于石中的珠宝,蜿蜒层叠的裙房如同饱经风霜的河岸。裙房台地式的造型为漫步的行人营造出攀爬于崖间的独特感受。同时,陡峭的步道提供了一览城市风光的全景视角,与绿地景观交相辉映。与传统的块状商业空间类型不同,“梯田”所创造出的是一种有机的社区,一种自然地由土地与水创造而成的社区。而它正是通过底层的人形环道,将遥远以及毗邻的社区有机结合,同时创造出全新的空间感受。无论遥远或毗邻,这全新的空间感受所传达出的是一种自然的存在感,宏伟的尺度感,以及内在的延续感.

VILLAGE CONCEPT
The Village concept creates a delicate composition of terraced forms connected to the pedestrian experience. Wan-derers emerging from the adjacent Olympic Aquatic Center will discover the gentle upward crescendo of orthogonal gardens and plazas adorning the natural textures of its architecture. Wo-ven together by a series of walkways and public perches emerg-ing across the complex’s levels, The Village delivers a pedestri-an-scaled destination that off ers an expanse of opportunities for social interaction and urban connectivity. While creating a series of summits that allow guests to emotionally and visu-ally connect with the surrounding landscape, the project will also establish a highly tangible contribution to its community, integrating new public amenities such as community meeting spaces, child care programs, and plentiful green space and wa-ter connections, all amidst its collection of retail and offi ces. El-evating the pedestrian experience to new heights, The Village will be a destination connected to the city from the ground up, a place to observe and be observed, and a place to experience the off erings of the new riverfront expanse.

Scaled upon proportions of natural grandeur, The Valley brings an experience of refl ection and awe. Those dashing through the adjacent freeway will marvel at the new architec-ture seemingly emanating from the earth—deceiving the pass-ing eyes with its hard urban exterior. Discovering the true char-acter of its tucked-away spaces within, pedestrians exploring the new urban space from the street level and lower level retail loop will fi nd themselves within a massive, fractured block of earth, lightened by a composition of refl ective surfaces, layers of textures, and lush greenery. The urban fi ssure serves as the project’s primary commercial atrium space, directing fl ow from the city to the river, all lit by the gentle fi ltration of natural sun-light from the open sky above.

As if naturally carved from the earth and sculpted by the water fl ows of the Bund River, The Terrace concept celebrates both the landscape and the city, creating a destination defi ned by both history and the future. Its distinct offi ce towers will rise like jewels anchored deep into stone, its retail podium walls sin-uous and gradually terraced like the sides of a worn river can-yon. The podium’s terraces create a pedestrian climb akin to meandering across a cliff side—paths steeped with panoramic views across the city and enhanced by green landscape. Stand-ing in contrast from the typifi ed big-box commercial schemes, The Terrace concept will contribute an organic community des-tination born from the natural transformation of earth and sea, while creating new experiences connected to the city beyond and the adjacent parcels via the lower level pedestrian loop. Whether near or far, the experience delivers a natural presence, grand and scale yet inherently sensuous.
