It is well worth the effort if you have regular business dealings in another country but to start with, why not master just a few words and phrases in the local language. This is a great way to show respect and build your relationships. HOW TO MEET
NEW PEOPLE1. In business, introduce yourself with your full name, title
and company.
2. When you are introduced to a group of people, they may
applaud you. It is polite to applaud in response.
3. If you enter a meeting room with several people in it, it is
polite to address the most senior person first.
4. While bowing or nodding was the traditional meeting
gesture, shaking hands is becoming more common. If in
doubt wait for the person you are meeting to extend their
hand so you can be certain that a handshake is
appropriate.
