Động từ nguyên mẫu có to (full infinitive[to + V])to fertilize,to harvest,.....2. Động từ nguyên mẫu không to( bare infinitive [V] fertilize, harvest,....Từ dạng nguyên mẫu có to, ta có các dạng sau:- Nguyên mẫu phủ định (negative infinitive ) : not + infinitive như: not to feed, not to culture, not to run,....- Nguyên mẫu tiếp diễn (continuous infinitive) : to be + Ving như: to be catching, to be fishing,...- Nguyên mẫu hoàn thành (perfect infintive) : to have + V3/ed như: to have harvested, to have stocked,.....Dạng nguyên mẩu này dùng đẻ diển tả sự viêc xảy ra trong quá khứ, thương theosau những động từ như:seem, look, appear....You seem to have been sleepless last night.I am sorry not to have striped out the eggs before they were over riped.- Nguyên mẫu thụ động (passive infinitive) :to be + V3/ed như: to be harvested, to be stocked,..... A, Mệnh lệnh cách; - Mệnh lệnh khẳng địnhGo to school on time and remember to do homework!
Be careful with these chemicals!Mệnh lệnh phủ địnhDon’t be disheartened and be Optimistic!Don’t ask me!B,Sau động từ khiếm khuyết.I must buy a bigger truck. You would rather replace broodstock.*Ghi chú: “Would like” (muốn, thích) là hình thức lịch sử của từ “want” và “like” và được dùng trong câu hỏi ý kiến. Sau “would like”, ta có thể dùng động từnguyên thể có to hay danh từ.What would you like to drink? - I would like a glass of beer.2. He has a big family to take care ( chỉ mục đích)A sewing machine is the machine to sew clothing (chỉ công dụng)The program to come is on sport ( chỉ hành động sắp xảy ra)I have a lot of homework to do tonight ( chỉ việc ta phải làm).3. Ta có thể viết động từ ở dạngCó to hoặc không có to.How to save the enviromemt is the duty of all people. What time to stock is the argument.B, Làm bổ ngử cho chủ từ (subjective complement)( luôn đứng sau to be):Cũng giống như làm chủ ngữ, động từ có thể viết được ở dạng có to hoặc không cóto.nhưng nếu trước động từ có thêm nghi vấn từ, ta chỉ được dùng nguyên thể cóto mà thôi.
Conservation is (to) prevent waste and (to) look for alternation fuels.
Our concern is how to succeed in this crop.C, Làm tân ngữ cho động từ hay cụm động từ (object of the verb of verbal
phrase)
We plan to increase 75% our fingerling production this year.
I have prepared to expand the hatchery.D, Làm tân ngữ trực tiếp(direct object)
Một số động từ diễn tả lời khuyên bảo, đề nghị, mong đợi, muốn, dạy, chỉbảo...thường có 2 tân ngữ: tân ngữ trực tiếp và tân ngữ dán tiếp.
- Tân ngữ dán tiếp (indirect object - I.O): chỉ người
S + V + I.O + D.O
(person) (to+V)
Những động từ thường theo sau bởi hai tân ngữ là: advise, ask, expect, explain, hope, oblige, meant, order, want, wish, suggest, recommend, teach, show,send,....She wishes to not eat your words.*Ghi chú: Ta phải dùng nguyên mẫu không to để làm tân ngữ chi các động từ sau: bid, help, let, make. Will you help me test pH in these ponds this morning?
4, Dùng làm bổ ngử cho tân ngử (objective complement)A, Sau động từ chuyển khiển (causative verbs) : have, get, make. Ta có cấu trúc:S + have + Doer + V + Omake (người làm)How often do you make the barber cut your hair?*Ghi chú : Nếu dùng động từ chuyển khiển get, ta phải dùng động từ nguyên mẩu có to.He got me to feed fish in these tanks.B, Sau động từ chỉ giác quan( verbs of perception)Sau động từ chỉ giác quan ta dùng nguyên mẫu không to khi hành động mang ý nghĩa chủ độngvà không kéo dài.I hear the boy scream when his tooth was pulled uot.5. To ask for a job, I sent them an application formB, Chỉ kết quả: Ta dùng nguyên mẫu có to sau trạng từ too/enough để chỉ kết quả.- Trường hợp sau enough:S + V + Adj./Adv. + (for someone) + to + V(Dịch là :.....đủ (khá) ...để (ai đó)....làm gì)She is rather mature enough to be responsible with her work.- Trường hợp sau too:S + V + too + Adj./Adv. + (for someone) + to + V(Dịch là : ...quá... nên(ai đó)....không thể làm gì)The train runs too fast for me to catch.
Lesson 7: species combinations and polyculture
I. Introduction
1. Introduction of polyculture:
In both China and India, there is a trend towards inereasing the number of
species in pond polyculture for the purpose of higher production, while the value
of combined culture of certain species in ponds under specific culture conditions
is accepted.
The general concepts of exclusive ecological niches for each species of carp do
not seem to hold particularly in the increasing number of species added to the
combinations.
2. General role
− Some of the species in the combinations can have specific roles in the
maintenance of the oxygen regime and sanitary conditions in the pond
Example:
The silver carp can be of considerable value in controlling algal blooms an
reducing oxygen consumption
− Though not very elearly proved, it is generally believed that some species
feed on the excreta of other and thus reduce the accumulation of organic
mater on the pond bottom.
Example :
The common carp and mrigal are considered as scavengers in polyculture ponds
as they may consume that faces of the grass carp and the silver carp, which
contain large amounts of undigested plant matter.
3. The difficulty
− The need produce of purchase the required number of try or fingerlings of a
selected number of species and to maintain the balance of species in oder to
avoid competition calls foer special care, skills and effort on the part of the
farmer.
− It is not very easy to adopt supplemental feeding in an aconamical way
− Additional labour would be involved in sorting out the different species after
havest
− In fact difficulties have been experienced in finding markets for certain
species like the silver carp in some countries.
4. Notes:
− A critical analysis of the biological and economical aspects shows that the
value of polyculture depends very much on the situation in a particular area,
and is probably not so widely applicable as generally considered. It is
necessary to compare the productivity and economics of the more important
species, before making decision on extending species combinations.
II. The national implementation of
successful
1. In Chinese:
− Polyculture is adopted even in the rearing of fingerlings in Chinese carp
culture. However, because of the overlap in feeding habits, when bighead is
the major species, silver carp is exeluded; similary, grass carp and black carp
are seldom raised together.
− Besides carp a number of other species are stocked in polyculture, the more
common ones being tilapia, Wuchang fish, crucian, red eye and white croaker
or white amur bream…. Are sometimes added to feed on weed fish and other
enused aquatic organisms.
− Many farms adopt the system of multiple stocking and harvesting in rotation.
− As is to be expected, annual yield per ha varies between farms and region
within China, from 310 kg/ha in extensive farming to about 3,000 Kg/ha in
semi-intensive systes and about 8,700 Kg/ha in intensive systems. Much
higher production has been shown to be possible under experimental
conditions.

2. In Israel:
− Helpher and Pruginin ( 1980 ) reported on the results of polyculture with
comparatively fewer species in a su-tropical climate in Israel.
− Higher weights of the stocking material, intensive fertilization and
supplementary feeding and temperature conditions contributed to the higher
yield of up to 10.5 tons/ha.
3. In Taiwan:
− In polyculture of Chinese carp in fresh water pond in Taiwan, tilapia and some
of the coastal species such as milkfish and mullet are included.
4. In indian
− The traditional in Indian major carp culture in Indian is a extensive
production system with only limited fertilization.
− The different species are ctocked is varying ratios , the most common being;
catla 30%, Rohu 60%, mrigal 10%.
− When calbasu is included, the presentage of rohu is reduced to 50 to provide
for 10 % for calbasu.
5. In Indonesia:
− Polyculture of common carp together with tilapia and other species like
nilem, tawes, kissing gourami and gourami has been practised indonesia. In
polyculture of common carp, generally 80 percent would be common carp and
the rest tilapia.
6. In Poland and Czechoslovakia
− Rainbow trout is sometimes grown in combination with common carp in
countries.
− One – year – old trout are stocked at the rate of 1,200 – 1,500/ha, forming
about 15 percent of the stock in the pond.
THE QUESTION:
1. What does polyculture mean ?
2. what is the effect of polyculture techniques ?
3. what some things to keep in mind when polyculture?
4. what is countries successfully applied on polyculture
technology?
5. what are fish species polyculture is usually in chinese?
6. How many polyculture fish production in Chinese?
7. What is the Indian system is usually applied?
8. What is the ratio of polyculture in India?
9. Which is often Taiwan polyculture fish?
Answer 1. Polyculture is a trend towards inereasing the number of species in pond polyculture for the purpose of higher production, while the value of combined culture of certain species in ponds under specific culture conditions is accepted.
