OXiStopOXS
DescriptionHYDAC's OXiStop is a tank solutionfor hydraulic systems with integrated,
hydraulically driven degassing anddewatering unit.
An integrated membrane preventsdirect contact with the ambient air.This means that the tank can bedesigned for the differential operatingvolume actually needed, reducingits size. The pump ow rate is notimportant for the tank design.
The uid reaches a very low gas andwater content.Thanks to the membrane, whichkeeps the uid "vacuum packed",it is also possible to install theOXiStop in extremely dusty or humidenvironments.
HYDAC offers three standard sizesfor a differential operating volume upto 70 liters**. Additionally, customerspecic solutions can be realised.
The OXiStop can be equipped withan optional return line lter, water / oilcooler as well as with the AquaSensorAS and the ContaminationSensor CS.

SizingThe size required by the OXiStop canbe calculated based on the actualvolume differences of cylinders,accumulators, etc. that can occur in asystem. In addition, it is necessary toconsider a required volume for thethermal expansion of the oil andpossible continuous oil losses. Thisvolume can be doubled, as a safety
margin.
Rule of thumb:
Total volume difference of cylinders, etc+ Temperature expansion volume
Necessary volume
Differential operating volume OxiStop =2 x necessary volume
Also, it is necessary to check whetherthe total oil volume in the systemneeds to be returned to the tankwhen maintenance work is carriedout.
