Enjoy your tour of this wonderful ranch home which has been completely remodeled. Turning a 50’s ranch into a modern showcase with new materials and design elements was the remodeler’s goal. From the cherry stained maple cabinets, contemporary lighting and colorful backsplash, the kitchen is a cook’s dream and gives this home an immediate wow factor. Continuing with an eclectic design, the paint colors are unique and the barn wood wall in the living room adds a special design feature to the uniqueness of this home. The updated bathroom with tiled shower uses all the newest materials and includes refinished stained wood floors! The basement has lots of space, a newly remodeled bathroom, office and fresh art gallery feel you won’t want to miss! We look forward to you viewing this beautiful home!

For the past 26 years Reynolds Design and Remodeling has been renovating homes in Lincoln and other surrounding areas, and this is certainly the most remarkable transformation that we have been involved in so far.

We opened up the kitchen completely, removing all of the dark peninsula wall and base cabinets that separated the living room and the kitchen. Our first priority was to create not only a more functional kitchen for the homeowners but also to incorporate a better traffic flow and ‘work triangle’ for them. New Dura Supreme cabinetry was installed in the antique white with espresso glaze finish and it complements the open feel of this kitchen perfectly. With the exception of occasional visits from their grandchildren, there are no kids running around in this home anymore. They do have Harley, a young and very active yellow lab. Because of this, they needed flooring that could withstand Harley’s energetic behavior so we installed very durable engineered wood flooring. Besides the Dura Supreme cabinetry, Cambria Quartz countertops and engineered wood flooring, there are plenty of great features to look at in this fabulous kitchen. We will also be showing the master bathroom, and we assure you the ‘before and after’ of both spaces will astound you!

If you have a remodeling project in your future, please come visit our showroom at 2406 J Street or our website at www.ReynoldsDesignRemodel.com. We are proud to be celebrating 26 years in business and to be the recipients of the Better Business Bureau’s 2008 Integrity Award for small business. We would love to help make your dreams a reality!

We often get approached by busy families who are looking for great solutions to make their homes work more efficiently for them. With three busy boys, this was the request presented

to the designers of CS by the Anderson family. The previous kitchen consisted of a small U-shaped space with dim lighting, but a large adjacent dinette space. The area allowed was ideal for combining the two spaces and creating a larger kitchen/dining space that functioned as one. This also allowed for the “cook to get out of the kitchen” and feel like he/she can interact with the rest of the family during meal preparation time. A large centrally located island has everything this busy family needs, from food prep space to cooking space to a family style seating arrangement. A decorative raised-glass cabinet was added in front of the cooktop to provide an interesting view from the family room and shields the viewer from the cooking space.

• Removal of soffits and peninsula to create more storage and a multi-functional island

• Espresso stained alder wood cabinetry in a pillowed door style from Crystal-Keyline

• New recessed can lighting, puck lighting in cabinetry, pendant lighting, LED strip under-cabinet lighting and all first-floor fixtures replaced

• Removal of “popcorn” textured ceiling

• Tropical brown granite countertops and a travertine and glass backsplash

• Replacement of entire first level flooring in a chestnut-stained scraped oak to hold up to youngsters cleats and puppy paws!

• New coordinating paint colors throughout the house

We invite you to come visit our CS Kitchen and Bath showroom, meet our designers and imagine the potential for your next dream space. Our designers will help you focus your own design ideas and select the choices that best fit your lifestyle, individual tastes and budget.

Perfecting Flow and FunctionWith design ideas from Willet Construction, our clients purchased this spacious townhome knowing it would become the home of their dreams. The narrow kitchen feels much larger without the wall that once separated it from the den. The glaze accented cabinetry and natural light give the kitchen a breath of fresh air.

• Painted Showplace cabinetry with caramel glazing

• Built-in window seat to enjoy morning coffee

• Hand-scraped hickory wood floors

The beautiful engineered wood floors and newly painted woodwork flow from one room to the next. Out of the ordinary fiber flooring, vanity cabinet and simply framed mirror reflect the main bath’s classy, updated look.

Borrowing space from an adjacent bedroom and reconfiguring the master bedroom, created a new first-floor laundry room and larger master bath.

• Lots of storage and folding counter makes laundry a pleasure

• Five-foot wide low-profile onyx shower with bench seat

• Custom Wood Products cabinetry in distressed alder

• DuraCeramic flooring

Artistic Spaces in the Home… Picture frame this Kitchen! After tearing out a wall and room dividing peninsula, Lincoln Cabinet opened the Kitchen up to the living room, making it a great space for entertaining! The Original kitchen design had an angled Refrigerator wall, island cooking center and a peninsula bar, which created a cramped work space. Once these items were removed, along with removing a 12” deep pantry and laundry room closet, the room seemed to double in size!

Walnut Custom Wood Products cabinetry in a Recessed-panel door “Picture Frame” this space in warmth.

Separate cooking and clean-up centers were created to allow for multiple Family cooks!

Two islands were a MUST to allow for easy flow with groceries from the garage to the kitchen. One island provides a veggie sink for the cook working at the stove, while the other island, with seating for 5, is the gathering space for this kitchen!

Cambria countertops and tile backsplash in complementary colors enhance the space and give visual interest.

A Small Bar area with glass doors shows off the owner’s collection of vibrant colored glass and serves as a wine center with storage below and stem wear rack above.

Artistic spaces in the home… Artful spaces for the artist herself!Simplistic clean lines are evident in the Art in this home and were incorporated in the Kitchen remodel. It also encompasses the theme in the master bath, hall bath and the laundry/bath area. The creative home owner herself was involved in the ideas and neutral color scheme of this remodel project.

Showplace cabinets in a Taupe Causal Vintage finish with Craftsmen Wide-style door play up on the design of Lincoln Cabinet’s Simple and efficient Kitchen layout!

Neutral colors of Glass and Stone in a linear/vertical pattern enhance the backsplash of the stove wall and create a subtle “Eye Catching” display!

Laminate in a Neutral Tone with a contrasting decorative stripe gives the island a unique and artful look and accents the clean lines of the project.

The Master bath was made larger by utilizing the former walk-in closet space, allowing for a separate tiled-in shower. The tub area features the same gray tile as the shower, but “bubbles over” with a look all its own!

Creative and Interesting is how you would classify the Hall bath design. Shower walls in a tone on tone linen tile are accented with Linear Glass and Stone blend tiled niches. Custom Vanities were created out of Pionite Gold Pannin laminate and appear to “FLOAT” within the space to complete the modern look of this bathroom!

Come see how Heidi helped this Artist express herself in her Home!

Artistic Spaces in the home… A Kitchen designed from a Work of Art!The Colors and Textures of this kitchen were taken from a large oil Art piece chosen for the living room.

“Stewart the dog” captures the personalities of the owners and contribute to the overall look of the home. The warm tones of brown, cream and green from the painting were carried throughout the remodel, Creating this Renovator’s Work of Art!

A new “Arty” layout used Oikos cabinets in a Sand color tone with a textured door, unique to this Italian cabinetry line and coordinated with Mr. Stewart himself!

Island countertops with a waterfall edge to the floor in Cambria Quartz Newhaven complement the main kitchen and refreshment center counters. A backsplash of mosaic glass completes the look.

Appliances were key to this Kitchen remodel. New refrigeration, a built-in oven, and a vegetable refrigerator and second oven in the working pantry got us rolling. BUT we’re not done yet! The refreshment area has an ice machine, wine cooler and beverage refrigerator for beer and soda.

The windows in the Dinette were refigured to create a beautiful view of some of the best art... Nature itself!

An Artistic Sculptural divider between the Kitchen and Main Living area was created by a three-sided fireplace featuring “slate” wallpaper.

“Art wall” with cut-out sheet rock, glass panels and a home for the TV, creates interest on the stairwell to the lower level where you’ll see another living area beautifully orchestrated by Vern and Jane!

The desire for a more open kitchen/dining/family room space for entertaining and a more efficient work space was the objective of this remodel. John and Bev, the homeowners, had previous experience with Christo Design Build and called on them to create their dream kitchen. They wanted a different look from the existing oak cabinetry.

The original u-shaped kitchen was transformed by eliminating the peninsula with upper cabinets. Because of the peninsula, the kitchen was completely “cut-off” from the eating area and the family room. To further enhance the new space, an island bar/eating area, combined with a custom hutch with glass doors and a buffet/serving cabinet were added.

Highlights include:

• KitchenCraft painted maple wood “Shaker-Style” European full overlay cabinets

• Granite countertops with full tile backsplash and glass accents

• Stainless-steel appliances

• LED lighting placed under cabinets and also in glass cabinets

• Oak flooring

We are very thankful to John and Bev for the privilege to work with them again and for sharing their lovely home in this year’s Tour.

If you are considering building or remodeling in the future, we would love the chance to meet with you to create your dream! We are proud to be celebrating 35 years in business and to be the recipients of the Better Business Bureau’s 2007 Integrity Award for small business.

This is the place for the busy Stine family to gather, watch a game, entertain friends, study or just hang out. Quoting Tom “it’s the best room in the house.”

We started with a walkout unfinished basement and the goal of finishing off the space to view multiple large screen TVs with a seating area open to an entertainment kitchen so no one would be separated from the action. The kitchen does have its own TV in case you happen to be looking the other direction while sitting at the granite counter or the table. We added custom cabinetry and open shelves for storage and also finished an extra bedroom with a full bath. Come visit and see how we did.

Robison Design Build would love to work with you on your project, small or large, and we would like to thank the Stine family for allowing us to work with them and sharing their home during the tour.

Artistic Spaces in the Home… Making an artistic gray, black and white statement in the hub of the home!A Major transformation took place in the former Kitchen, Family Room and Back Entry Hall of this home. No Question about it, Gray, Black and White were a must for the color scheme of this remodel. Lincoln Cabinet created an extraordinary kitchen with an Island & Bar built in, a pantry, a TV space opening up into the family room, a Command Center and specialized Dog area!

The tile floor is ART all in itself, with three Colors of tiles in a liner arrangement creating random stripes in an Artful Pattern of grays and blacks.

Gray Italian Oikos Cabinets in a simple flat textured door, with black and white counters create an “Artist Palate” that complements the rest of the home.

The former family room fireplace was removed and replaced with Art niches. This created a contemporary seating area at the end of the large dinette with a built-in 54” Round Table with seating for family and guests!

Lincoln Cabinet gave this Remodel some visual dimension by layering walls, reframing a window and installing floating shelves for the owner’s Special Art Pieces.

Glass Walls frame the dog area to provide more light in the New Kitchen space and help keep the family dogs included in all the activities of the home!

With Crazy family schedules, the Command Center offers a place to plug in the phones, drop the keys and organize the family plans!

James and Tyley called GoodeGuy Construction looking to close in a courtyard that was built in the center of their home as well as build proper roof structures over three flat roofs they had. Most of all, they wanted it to be beautiful, functional and like it was part of the original home’s design. The courtyard held a fireplace and water feature as well as an unfinished concrete floor covered by a cedar and plexiglass roof. After sitting down and finding out their hopes, wishes and design ideas, we came up with turning this space into a new, large kitchen completely customized for them and their family! This enormous undertaking also included building a cathedral ceiling and roof structure with eight skylights to show all the beauty of their new space! This kitchen, multiple roof structures and addition are an absolute MUST-SEE to show how GoodeGuy Construction can transform the unimaginable into a reality!

Linda and John contacted GoodeGuy Construction/3 Day Kitchen & Bath looking for a way to revamp and open up the kitchen and dining area as well as a few cosmetic changes for the bathrooms. Their hopes for the kitchen included opening up the space as much as possible and updating the cabinets, flooring and fixtures to show off a clean-lined and fresh new kitchen. We came in and dropped a wall from full height to a half wall that lined the staircase as well as framed in a pass-through opening on the opposite wall of the stairway. This allowed more light to fill the space as well as an unencumbered view from the kitchen into the dining area! The bathrooms received a face lift via new beautiful onyx solid-surface countertops, new vanities and Armstrong laminate flooring to complete the updated look. Did we mention we did the kitchen and two baths in five days?! GoodeGuy Construction/3 Day Kitchen & Bath encourages you to come and look at the amazing possibilities for your remodeling dreams!

In order to give this homeowner a more minimal, uncomplicated space where she could display artwork and gather with friends and family, a major transformation

was in order. She loved having an island with a cooktop, but the island was much too small. The storage spaces and cabinets were inadequate and randomly placed, taking up needed floor space. An adjoining dining and sitting area were too small to be useful and the windows and door were cold and drafty.

Design Solutions:

• Crystal full custom cabinetry featuring the new LuxGuard painted finish in two different colors. Be sure to notice the inset door styling.

• Removal of an existing wall where the previous refrigerator and miscellaneous storage cabinets were located. This allowed for a much larger island with a new cook top.

• For design purposes, there are no upper cabinets on the sink wall, but we removed soffits and installed floor to ceiling storage on two other walls.

• Concealed appliance and bake center area.

• Pantry with vertical storage and rollouts for convenience and separate broom cabinet.

• New Eagle windows and sliding door and all new cedar deck.

• Soapstone countertops.
