Opinion: in this week's Opinion column, Lucas

Verweij argues that as the design field expands to

encompass all creative activities and designers try

to solve all the world's problems, the discipline

    cannot possiblylive up to expectations.

    Iran

    Stefano Cassetti writes toDesign 101crew:

Saffron, it costs 16 euro per gram (marijuana costs

    12, gold costs 24).

With 280 euro you can buy 500 saffron bulbs.

To grow them you need 20 squared meters.

Each bulb produces from 4 to 10 flowers, 3 pistilseach.

    Shall we make some calculation?

Giulia San Gregorio, Anne-sophie Gauvin, what doyou say?

    Milan

It was today, mid-afternoon, and I was thinking

about these various projects I am working on now.

Anne-sophieand Giuliawere working next to me.

In the meanwhile, I was skyping with Lucia. Aurora

    was working from home

My mind took off and it started to fly around

Design 101,Master Relational Design, before them

WHOAMI and Ceramic Futures. How to mix

traditional and innovative media to teach design.

All sudden, I've found this rubber band in my hands

and I started to make shapes, thenI've found the

    little people

I was staring at the infinite and I liked that feeling

    pretty much...

    Staring at the infinite.
