Internews (November 2014-February 2015) Lead Trainer and Program Director, Akhbar ow Bas-Lebanon, responsible for the implementation of the 3-month pilot program; recruiting, training, mentoring, and coordinating the group of twenty young journalists from around Lebanon, managed the news accuracy and verification processes of the trainees, creatively solved communications and technical problems, financial management, and program objectives

Internews Network August-October 2014 Trainer and Executive Producer, Gaza Humanitarian Information System. Together with the international lead trainer, trained the journalists on humanitarian reporting, responsible for the oversight and information quality of the daily radio program, acted as the executive producer and trained the program producer, managed the social media feed into the studio and responses/answers to the questions posted by citizens of Gaza, creative problem solving on broadcast and communication issues, overall responsibility for the radio program design and information content, connected the radio program with a television broadcast and enabled mobile platform reporting and broadcasting for the journalists in Gaza and the West Bank, managed relations and coordination between the journalists and the Humanitarian Liaison Officers.

Internews Network (Apr.2012 - Sep.2014) a USAID project (Enhancing Palestinian Independent Media - EPIM) which included consultancy and media trainer, grant-making planning- and sub-awards for 11 media outlets, business media training and supervising designing business plans for 11 media outlets, supervising marketing and sales plans for 2 media outlets, managing and developing professional relations for the sub grantees (Jossor affiliation), supervising the designing of the Sharing program cycles, and co-production. 2- OFFICIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

17 years Palestine Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) (January 1995-May2012)

PBC May 2010- May 2012 Consultant for the Supervisor of the Palestinian official media.

Responsible for monitoring all PBC media (radio, television, electronic media) and evaluating the production quality and the professional approaches of the PBC staff, monitoring hate speech and dehumanizing language about others on the PBC to make decisions on pulling reports and programs, monitored the regional media for dehumanizing stereotypes about Palestinians, managed a staff of twenty, submitted weekly reports with recommendations to the Supervisor about the quality; reporting problems and concerns immediately.

- May 2008-May 2010 Director General of the Quality Control Unit

Evaluated all programs for content and quality, monitored engineering departments for efficiency and professionalism, hired and reported to the head of PBC on the hiring and training of new employees, designed and supervised training for all new staff, performed annual evaluation with training recommendations of all PBC staff (1,200) lower than General Directors; reported daily to the head of PBC on the work of all the departments and a weekly report on the main problems with recommendations, directly managed a staff of forty.

PBC July 2007-May 2008 Director General for training & development

Responsible for designing training for staff and interns, training for university students and foreign media, created different training courses and modules for the different media fields, set-up the employment system, departmental and intra-departmental procedures for the thirteen directorates of the PBC

PBC May 2005-July 2007 Director General – Department of TV programs

Head of the programs committee for both the radio and television program cycles, final approval for programs and productions, classified the types of programs according to the needs of the audience to inform the program cycle design, responsible for the MCR (what was broadcast and what was not), responsible for decisions on broadcasting during emergency situations including the news broadcasts, managed a media staff of 335 in both Gaza and the West Bank. Oversaw the transfer of archives, staff, and broadcast signals from Gaza to the West Bank during the Hamas military coup in Gaza.

PBC May 2004-May 2005 Director General of Quality Control Unit

Created the unit after closing the censorship unit and designed the working system for the department, trained the initial staff of 15 who became trainers for the others, reported daily to the Minister of Information evaluating the work and performance with recommendations on all departments in both the radio and television, satellite and terrestrial channels, recommended and then managed the merge of the satellite and terrestrial channels into one broadcast.

PBC January 1995-September 2000 launched in November 1994 as the first Palestinian controlled broadcast Responsible for the foundations of the television station, creating production procedures, productions, broadcast systems and workflow and staff procedures, moderator/host for thirteen programs and director of 100s of episodes of programs and documentaries as Deputy Director General (1998-2000), TV Director and Chief Director of Video Production (1995-2000), and Production Manager (1995-2000)

5 years with the Palestinian Refugees Human Right in Diaspora (PRHRD) (1986-1992)

o Established and maintained the PRHRD in Malta, opened 3 other Branches in other

European countries, Italy Germany and Greece. sat up the polices of the association, objectives, and the organizational structure, the entity was active till 1998, advocated and campaigned for the youth Euro-Arab dialogue and for the rights of Palestinian on their own independent state, and enhanced the themes of peace, accepting the other, and integration for refugees in their new environments and countries. PRHRD campaigned and advocated for a peace treaty to be singe with Israel.

o Led efforts to engage representatives of the PA to support and establish needed regulations and practice frameworks to allow independent media outlets to operate freely throughout the Palestinian territories.

o Participated in the campaign to allow broadcasting of Palestinian Legislative Council on the air, to adjust and modify 1995 publication law, continued the campaigning on 2014 with the Palestinian Journalist Syndicate.

o Participating on Internews efforts to work with other Palestinian NGOs and officials and Individuals to reform the Palestinian legal environment, threw netting the needed relations among the stakeholders.

o Participating on Internews efforts to work with other Palestinian NGOs and officials and

Individuals to achieve the best Palestinian legal draft for the access to information law which is under discussion.
