Your Voice Matters! An LGBTQ+ & Ally Parish Wide SurveyBuilding on one of our core All Saints values —

Radical Inclusion — this survey seeks to discover how well All Saints Church is ministering to

and with the LGBTQ+ community and how we can improve. We encourage both the LGBTQ+ members of our community and their allies to

share their voices. From the survey intro: As we continue to evolve as a parish that affirms and

welcomes all people, we want to be able to serve LGBTQ+ people in the many ministries available at All Saints Church. This survey is designed to

improve these ministries so that we can continue to be a resourceful, prayerful and collaborative

beloved community. The survey is found here:

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3SVMFWV. It takes approximately 20 minutes to complete

and will remain open through June 30.

Find Out How to Make a Difference in the Life of a Child in Foster Care at the CASA Information Session on July 10 All Saints Church Foster Care Project and Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) have joined together to reach out to the faith community for special advocates for foster children. CASA volunteers make a difference in the lives of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. CASA volunteers receive special training and are appointed by a judge to advocate on behalf of a child in foster care in both the courtroom and the community, with often life-changing results. Join CASA of Los Angeles for an information session to learn more on Wed., July 10, 6:00–7:30 p.m. in Scott Hall 5. Information = inboxfostercareproject.org.

Jazz Vespers in June: Billy Childs Sunday, June 30, 5:00 p.m. on the Chancel. Billy Childs has emerged as one of the foremost

American composers of his era, perhaps the most distinctly American composer since Aaron Copland. As a pianist Childs has performed with Yo-Yo Ma, Sting, Renee Fleming, The Los Angeles Philharmon-ic, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Chick Corea, Wynton Marsalis, The American Brass Quintet, and Chris Botti. A native of Los Angeles, Childs grew up immersed in jazz, classical, and popular music influences. A prodigious talent at the piano earned him public performances by age six, and at sixteen he was admitted to the USC Community School of the Performing Arts, earning a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition under the tutelage of Robert Linn and Morten Lauridsen. Thus far in his career, Childs has garnered thirteen GRAMMY nominations and four awards. Christina Honchell offers a med-itation. Child care and validated parking available. If you would like to use the elevator for accessi-bility, please arrive five minutes early. Information = Melissa Hayes at [email protected] or 626.583.2725.

For generations, All Saints Church has been transforming lives of all ages by working at the inter-section of community, spirituality, and peace and justice. Many of you provide generous financial support for this work, and we are deeply grateful.

In addition, several hundred parishioners are members of the Legacy Society by virtue of their planned gifts, helping to ensure that the ministries and programs of this thriving community will flourish throughout future generations.

Have you made a planned gift but forgotten to tell us about it?

Legacy Society brochures in the pew racks have a card you can tear off, telling us that you have done so and also providing information about the several ways such a gift can be made.

Now is the time to act, because on September 5 we will dedicate a new Legacy Society Wall in the lobby of Regas House, and we want to acknowledge your generosity and vision for All Saints Church.

Please contact Terry Knowles, Director of Giving & Stewardship ([email protected], or 626-583-2736) no later than July 7

with information about how we should list your name or with any questions.

Thank you!
