La Sagra degli Agrumi La manifestazione più importante di Muravera è la Sagra degli Agrumi, in programma il 15 aprile 2012. La Sagra degli Agrumi segna l’inizio della stagione turistica nel territorio e costituisce un importante vetrina per tutte le produzioni locali. Le giornate della sagra prevedono una grande sfilata dei gruppi folkloristici provenienti da tutta la Sardegna; a seguire sfilano le Etnotraccas e le Traccas, carri museo che riproducono gli ambienti della vita agropastorale e i Cavalieri del Sarrabus. Nell’arco dei tre giorni si susseguono numerose convegni, mostre, e musei itineranti, concorso di Murales, degustazioni di prodotti tipici e spettacoli folkloristici musicali.

The most important event of Muravera is the Sagra degli Agrumi, or Citrus Festival, scheduled for April 15, 2012. The Citrus Festival is an unmissable event that marks the beginning of tourist season in the area and is an important showcase for all citrus and local productions. The days of the festival include a big parade down the main street of the town of folk groups from all over Sardinia, followed by the parade of Traccas and Etnotraccas, wagon museum reproducing rural life in the environments of the past, and the Knights of Sarrabus. Over the course of three days, follow each other numerous events such as conferences, exhibitions, museums and traveling mural contest, with tastings of typical products and folk music performances.

Sagra de Sa Prazzira e de sa Pezz’e Craba La Sagra, che si svolge a San Vito, vede “Sa Prazzira”, pizza tipica sanvitese, come grande protagonista. Questa si presenta di forma circolare, con i bordi rialzati in maniera tale che la parte superiore non venga avvolta dalla pasta mettendo in evidenza gli ingredienti che solitamente sono i pomodori freschi, le melanzane, i funghi, le patate, il basili-co, l’aglio, l’olio d’oliva extra vergine. “Sa Pezza de Craba”, ossia la carne di capra, arrostita con degli enormi spiedi nei fuochi alimentati con la legna da ardere, ha un gusto ed un profumo inconfondibile, esclusivo di una razza che nelle varie ere ha subito un isolamento quasi totale, contribuen-do a fargli acquisire tipicità e caratteristiche uniche.

“su Coccoi”, un pane tipico del Sarrabus.A Villaputzu a gennaio si festeggia Sant’Antonio Abate con Su Fogu Fogoni, in cui viene acceso un grande falò in piazza, per auspicare un buon raccol-to. A carnevale, si svolge il Carnevale Villaputzese; il 15 maggio è il turno di San Giorgio Martire, Santo Patrono di Villaputzu; ad agosto appunta-mento con il Festival delle Launeddas: concerti di suonatori di launeddas provenienti da tutta l’isola. Sempre nel mese di agosto la Sagra dei Ravioli e dei Malloreddus. L’anno si conclude con la Festa di Santa Maria a Settembre, e a Ottobre con la festa di Santa Vittoria e con la festa di San Narciso. A Villasimius si festeggiano La Madonna del Nau-frago, Santa Maria (prima settimana di Settembre) e il Patrono San Raffaele Arcangelo (24 Ottobre). Festa del Mare A Villaputzu a Ferragosto si celebra la fiera turistica dell’ar-tigianato e dell’agroalimentare del Sarrabus, con degusta-zioni, spettacoli musicali e folk, e nella suggestiva cornice del Porto Turistico di Porto Corallo. Organizzata in sinergia tra la Pro Loco di Villaputzu e l’amministrazione comunale, è una quattro giorni di intense manifestazioni per lo svago di locali e turisti e per far conoscere i prodotti del territorio. Il ricco programma è incentrato in quattro serate: due giorni di fuochi d’artificio, la sagra dei ravioli e la sagra del pesce, la degustazione dei prodotti locali ed eventi musicali.

Festival of the Sea

In Villaputzu in midsummer is celebrated craft and agro-tourism fair of the Sarrabus-Gerrei, with tastings, musical performances and folk, in the picturesque setting of the marina of Porto Corallo. Organized in collabora-tion between the Pro Loco Villaputzu and the municipal administration, is an intense four days of events for the entertainment of locals and tourists and to make known local products. The rich program is focused on four nights: two days of fireworks, the festival of the ravioli and fish festival, with tasting of local products and musical events.

La festa, celebrata in suffragio dei marinai, vittime del mare intorno a Capo Carbonara, ha inizio il terzo sabato di luglio, e prevede una processione in mare, fino all’Isola dei Cavoli, dove viene depositata una corona di fiori ai piedi di una grande statua sommersa raffigurante la Santa Vergine. Questa è un’opera di Pinuccio Sciola, realizzata in trachite rosa di Ozieri. Castiadas festeggia i momenti principali dell’an-no con diverse sagre che si svolgono da giugno a settembre. La prima festa in ordine cronologico è San Giovanni Battista che si svolge nella borgata di Olia Speciosa il 25 giugno, e dura 3-4 giorni. A metà agosto si celebra la Festa dell’Assunta Vergine, mentre a fine Agosto sempre nella borgata di Olia Speciosa si festeggia la Sagra del vino e dell’uva. A luglio-agosto, la Mostra dell’Artigiana-to e dell’Agroalimentare. Nella villa del Direttore dell’ex Colonia Penale agricola, vengono presentate le produzioni artigiani del territorio, con esposi-zioni di cestini, legno intagliato, oreficeria, tappeti, tessuti e ceramiche, oltre ad una ricca mostra enogastronomica.

Il maestro Roberto Anedda è uno dei più grandi

Paradiso dei surfisti, alle sue spalle alcuni alberi di ginepro assicurano un po’ d’ombra nelle giornate più calde. Continuando in auto si risalgono ripidi tornanti con vista sull’isola di Serpentara, sino all’altezza del bivio per Cala Sinzias. Quest’insenatura, ampia e sabbiosa è racchiusa tra promontori rocciosi e si estende per oltre 1 km. Alle sue spalle,troviamo un’abbondante presenza di dune, macchia medi-terranea e pini marittimi. Il litorale, di rena fine e bianca, degrada dolcemente nell’acqua trasparente e cristallina. Sino a Capo Ferrato si succedono suggestive altre cale e bellissime spiagge. Posizione centrale occupa la lunga distesa sabbiosa di Costa Rei. Il suo mare è limpido e smeraldino e la sabbia soffice e dorata. Merita una sosta anche il piccolo centro di Castiadas, ricco di fruttuosi agrumeti. Le spiagge Cala Pira con la sua sabbia bianchissima e l’acqua cristallina e poco profonda. Si trovano qui una torre spagnola seicentesca, e la bellissima caletta delle piscine, raggiungibile esclusivamente in barca. Porto Giunco, lunghissima lingua di sabbia dove riescono a convivere zone attrezzate con sdraio ombrelloni a pagamento e spiaggia li-bera. Risalendo su per la costa giungiamo a Cala Sinzias, stupenda spiaggia con un mare verde smeraldo degno dei tropici. La sua caratteristica è di essere meno affollata delle altre spiagge di questo scorcio di Sardegna. Risalendo verso Costa Rei, da sud, ci si imbatte nello Scoglio di Peppino: una roccia di granito bianco dalla forma appiattita, protesa per una trentina di metri all’interno del mare. La spiaggia di S. Giusta si presenta con acqua molto bassa, e sabbia fine e gialla. La spiaggia di Costa Rei è stata premiata nel 2009 dalla guida turistica Lonely Planet come la quinta spiaggia al mondo per bellezza.

MARINA DI PORTO CORALLO

Questa, manifestazione ha avuto negli anni un sempre maggiore interesse da parte di turisti e residenti, con un numero di presenze sempre più rilevante, tanto da riconfermarla come una delle più importanti manifestazioni estive dei tutta la costa sud orientale. Tra i principali eventi organizzati, all’insegna del folklore e delle tradizioni, riscuote grande successo “la Fiera Turistica dell’Artigianato e dell’ Agroalimen-tare del Sarrabus Gerrei”. Una manifestazione voluta dalla Pro Loco di Villaputzu in collaborazione con il CNA zonale (Confederazione Nazionale Artigiani ). Sono circa 40 le aziende in mostra, provenienti dal settore dell’artigianato artistico, e del comparto Agroalimentare locale. Oltre alle esposizioni a cura degli artigiani, vengono offerte ogni sera dai produttori degustazioni di prodotti tipici. In programma: “la sagra dei ravioli” e “la sagra del pesce”, curate dalla Pro Loco di Villaputzu che impegna tutti i soci nel cucinare e servire a migliaia di turisti i piatti più tipici. Ogni serata della “Festa del Mare” si conclude con uno spettacolo d’intrattenimento musicale. Ci riempie il cuore di gioia vedere quanto è cresciuta la Festa della Madonna del Mare, nata 15 anni fa grazie alla volontà e alla devozione dei soci Proloco, oggi sempre più partecipata e ricca d’intrattenimenti. Venite a trovarci, vi offriamo, oltre al mare, un accoglienza fatta di cose semplici e genuine, grazie alle nostre genti e agli ottimi prodotti della nostra terra assaporerete e scoprirete la vera Sardegna sud orientale.


San Nicolò di Quirra, unica in Sardegna a essere costruita con mattoni in cotto. E’ presente anche il castello di Quirra, costruito dai giudici di Cagliari, per difendere il loro regno. Prendendo un agevole sentiero lo si può raggiungere a piedi. Da Quirra si può iniziare il ritorno verso Cagliari compiendo un percorso alternativo.
