Crown caps are a solutions that, in many ways,

remains inimitable. A field in which SACMI has

worked untiringly since 1950, designing and

building machines for the manufacture and

application of crown caps with everfaster, bet-

ter performance.

The modern 0.18 mm thickness cap concept

can easily replace standard-thickness caps

(0.24 millimetre thick) thanks to its complete

compatibility and interchangeability.

The advantage lies in the fact that this cap

uses thinner metal, less raw material, less

packaging and optimised logistics. Proven

benefits include CO2 reductions of 15% or

more without lowering the performance pro-

vided by standard-thickness caps.

This new closure makes it possible to reduce

environmental impact significantly, not just

because less raw material is used but also

because there is less waste and fewer emis-

PTC series SACMI presses - highly suitable for

crown cap manufacturing - are the outcome of

SACMI’s long-standing experience in this industry.

The maximum sheet size able to be processed

with PTC series presses allows dramatically low-

er costs and, consequently, a major reduction in

the end cost of the product and extremely short

ROI times. The outstanding productivity and

number of die punches (arranged on 2 rows) puts

PTC presses at the top of the equipment range

when it comes to output rates.

The PTC 600 enhances the basic characteristics

that made the early PTC027 press models the top-

of-the range crown cap manufacturing equipment.

The new SACMI PMC 600 is an automatic

crown cap lining machine that is highly suit-

ed to the new market trend of downgauging

crown caps, thus guaranteeing high productiv-

ity and efficiency.

The machine operates in line with the new

SACMI PTC 600 and has specifically been de-

signed to sustain increased productivity.

Compared to previous versions, this solution

is characterised by higher productivity and

better, more linear cap handling, with positive

effects on process efficiency.

The automatic machine is suitable for extrud-

ing granulated material (i.e. PVC, PE, EVA),

CCD 300 has been designed and engineered

specifically for cap embossing of the central

panel.

Starting with a 26 millimetre crown cap, the

surface can be personalised in offset mode

with a logo or text, the relief print being syn-

chronised with the decoration: the obtained

surface offers a new tactile sensation, main-

taining the same performance and visual char-

acteristics as the standard caps.

Embossing protects product originality, re-

ducing the chances of counterfeiting. It’s also

possible to customise the cap without lithog-

raphy, with a considerable reduction in costs.

lished” with the trademark, thus minimising

risk of falsification.

The CCD 300 provides outstanding perfor-

mance, can handle up to 2500 pieces per min-

ute and synchronises embossing deformation

with the decoration already on the outside of

the cap. CCD 300 can handle up to 3000 piec-

es per minute without synchronization.

SACMI’s innovative CCD 300 cap embossing

solution can handle both undecorated and dec-

orated caps, ensuring, in any case, perfect syn-

chronism between embossing and decoration.

The CCD300 is available in two versions:
