The grid infrastructure installation, version 11.2.0.3 is not the purpose of this document. Illcreate a post on that issue if anyone manifests interest.

Install Database Binaries and create database from RapidInstall

First allow user oracle to run root commands like slibclean

vi /etc/sudoers

applmgr ALL=(root) NOPASSWD:/usr/sbin/slibclean

Rapid Install Wizard is validating your file system

Seems to be a bug. Bug # 17255876.

Fix: If you are installing ebs with Database on RAC, the value for Datafiles Dir should+/instance_name. One I updated the datafiles dir, the pre-install checks werefine. But rapidwiz could not create directories in ASM through ASCMD its owned by gridowner. I overcame that by following the doc id ASMCMD Fails From Non-grid User Even if itBelongs To Same Groups ( Permission denied ) (Doc ID 1295851.1). We can revert thepermission once the install completes.

Unable to create directory: +DATA/FXB

RW-50010: Error: script has returned an error: 126

RW-50004: Error code received when running external process. Check log file for

details.

Running Database Install Driver for FXB instance

ASMCMD Fails From Non-grid User Even if it Belongs To Same Groups ( Permission denied) (Doc ID 1295851.1)

cd /perl

chmod -R 750 bin lib man ( Original permissions are 700 )

cd /lib

chmod 750 libexpat.so.1 ( Original permissions are 600 )

so I added +DATA/FXB on Datafiles DIR

Click on RAC Nodes, and select both nodes

So, I have installed both APPL_TOP, and INST_TOP on ocfs2 filesystem, I dont like NFSmount because if node 1 goes down, then the NFS mount goes down on node 2 also.

The first step is to License the second language, connect to

http://APPS1.domain.com:8001/

using sysadmin/sysadmin

and go to Oracle Application Manager and license the second language (in this caseromanian)

After this, the multilingual tables must be updated for the activated languages. Go to

the AD Administration main menu, choose the Maintain Applications Database

Entities submenu, and run the Maintain Multi-lingual Tables task.

In order to apply the Romanian patch a new patching cycle must be created using adop

Step1: Create a new patching cycle

adop phase=prepare

Step2: Unzip the patch in $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

unzip V36822-01.zip -d $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

Step3: Apply the romanian patch 10124646 using the below command:

adop phase=apply patches=10124646_RO:u10124646.drv

Apply 12.2.2 update patch both for English and Romanian language

The note I have followed is Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.2 Readme (Doc ID1506669.1)

I have applied these patches in the same patching cycle. First of all I need to apply latest ADand TXK patches

Step 1: Unzip all patches in $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

Unzip the following patches in $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

15955263,15946788,16207672 for ro and en

unzip p15955263_R12.AD.C_R12_AIX64-5L.zip -d $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

unzip p15955263_R12.AD.C_R12_ro.zip -d $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

unzip p15946788_R12.TXK.C_R12_GENERIC.zip -d $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch

unzip p15946788_R12.TXK.C_R12_ro.zip -d $APPL_TOP_NE/../patch FollowFollow

Step 2: Run adgrants.sql on Database Tier

sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL> @/Stage_ZIP/patches/15955263/admin/adgrants.sql apps

Step 3: Apply the 12.2.2 AD and TXK Release Update Packs

adop phase=apply patches=15955263, 15955263_RO:u15955263.drv

adop phase=apply patches=15946788,15946788_RO:u15946788.drv

Step 4: Apply the 12.2.2 update patch and Online Help

adop phase=apply patches=16207672,16207672_RO:u16207672.drv,16207673

Step 5. Complete the online patching cycle by running the following commands in theorder shown.

adop phase=finalize

adop phase=cutover

adop phase=cleanup

Step 6. Synchronize file systems

adop phase=fs_clone

Add the second Application Tier: APPS2

Step1: Run adpreclone.pl on run and patch filesystem

$ cd $INST_TOP/admin/scripts$ ./adadminsrvctl.sh start$ perl adpreclone.pl appsTier

Once the utility completes, shut down the application tier processes:$ ./adstpall.sh /On the patch file system:$ cd $INST_TOP/admin/scripts

We need to modify the following values in the $CONTEXT_FILE on both nodes:

s_webentryhostAPP

s_webentrydomain:domain.com

s_active_webport: 80

s_login_page:http://APP.domain.com/OA_HTML/AppsLogin

s_external_url: http://APP.domain.com

After completing the changes shown above, do the following:

Run the AutoConfig utility on all the application tier Servers1.Restart application server processes2.Test sign on from the load balancer entry point3.
