Sakarya Üniversitesi Fen Edebiyat Fakültesi Sosyal Hizmet Bölümü öğrencileri Sosyal Hizmet Kuramlar ve Yaklaşımlar dersi kapsamında kadına yönelik şiddet temalı sosyal farkındalık etkinliği düzenledi.

Doç. Dr. Mehmet Zafer Danış'ın yönetimindeki ders kapsamında ödev olarak hazırlanan etkinlik Sakarya Kent Meydan’ında gerçekleştirildi. Etkinlikte 7 kişilik öğrenci grubu kadına yönelik şiddete dikkat çeken kıyafetler giydi. Etkinliğin düzenlenmesinde aktif olarak görev alan Sosyal Hizmet Bölümü öğrencisi Ebru Saka, “Sosyal farkındalık projemizin asıl amacı kadına şiddet konusunda farkındalık yaratmak. Makyaj ve kıyafetle bunu göstermeye çalıştık. Halkı az da olsa bilinçlendirebildiysek ne mutlu bize” şeklinde konuştu.

Etkinlikte ayrıca, kadın temalı şarkılar eşliğinde, kadına yönelik şiddetle ilgili haberlerin bulunduğu bir pano hazırlanarak şiddetin medyadaki görünümü yansıtıldı.

Students of Sakarya University, Social Work Department organized an awareness event related to violence to women within the context of Social Work Theories and Approaches Course.The event, which was prepared as an assignment within the scope of the course under the management of Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Zafer Danış, was held in Sakarya City Square. In the event, the student group of 7 individuals wore clothes which attracted attention towards the violence to women. Social Work Department student Ebru Saka, who took an active role in the organisation of the event, said, “The main goal of our social awareness project is raise awareness towards the violence to women. We tried to demonstrate it via makeup and clothes. How happy we are if we succeeded our aim of raising awareness of the society.”Moreover, a board on which the news related to the violence to women were available was prepared and the appearance of the violence in the media was demonstrated in company with women-themed songs.

Sakarya Üniversitesi Mühendislik Fakültesi’nden bir grup öğrenci kampüs içinde bulanan kimsesiz yavru köpeklere sahip çıktı.

Öğrenciler kampüsteki onaltı yavru köpeğe barınabilmeleri için el birliğiyle bir kulübe yaptı. Köpeklerin günlük yemek ihtiyaçlarını da karşılayan sorumluluk sahibi öğrenciler, yavru köpeklerin çabucak büyüdüğünü, ileride daha büyük problemlerle karşılaşmamak için onlara yavruyken sahip çıktılarını belirtti.

Köpek yavrularını, hazırlamış oldukları kulübelerde koruma altına alan Mühendislik öğrencileri, herkesi kampüsteki hayvanlara sahip çıkmaya çağırdı.

A group of students from Sakarya University Faculty of Engineering looked after the orphan puppies within the campus.

The students built a cottage cooperatively in order for 16 puppies to shelter. The responsible students, who also met the dogs’ daily need of food, stated that the puppies had grown up very fast and they looked after them when they were puppies in order not to come across with much bigger problems in the future.

The students of engineering, who put the puppies under protection in the shelters which they had prepared at the back of SAU Development Workshop, called those for a visit who would like to help those cute friends with their food and to embrace them.

Sakarya Üniversitesi bölüm tanıtım filmi çekimlerinde sona gelindi.85 lisans programının tanıtımını kapsayan çekimler Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, İletişim Fakültesi ile Uzaktan Eğitim Araştırma ve Uygulama Merkezi’nin akademik, uzman personeli ve öğrenciler tarafından gerçekleştiriliyor. Çekimlerin üniversite tercih aşamasındaki öğrencilere istedikleri bölümler ve akademik personel hakkında bilgilendirici, üniversite tanıtımına da yardımcı olması hedefleniyor.

Shooting of introductory films of Sakarya University departments has come to an end. The shootings, including introduction of 85 undergraduate programmes, are taken by academic, qualified personnel and students of Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Communication and Distance Learning Research and Application Centre. The shootings are aimed to become informative on the desired departments and their academic personnel for students in the phase of university choice, and to help the introduction of the university, as well.

Günde yaklaşık üç saat televizyon izliyorum. ‘Kısmetse Olur’ ve Esra Erol’da Evlen Benimle’ adlı evlilik programlarını hayata dair ve eğlenceli bulduğum için takip ediyorum. Oyuncularını sevdiğim için ‘Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz’ dizisini ve bir de başrol karakterini çok sempatik bulduğum için ‘Poyraz Karayel’i izliyorum.

I watch the TV for three hours per day. I follow the matchmaker programs ‘Kısmetse Olur’ ve Esra Erol’da Evlen Benimle’ because I find them true to life and enjoyable. I watch the serial ‘Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz’ because I like the cast of it and ‘Poyraz Karayel’ the main character of which I find very sympathetic.

Her gün televizyon izlemiyorum, haber saatlerinde ya da sadece takip ettiğim diziler olduğunda televizyonu açıyorum. ‘Diriliş Ertuğrul’ dizisini tarihte yaşanan olayları coşkuyla anlattığına inandığım için izliyorum. Takip ettiğim diğer bir dizi de ‘Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz’. Her bölümde farklı olayların geliştiği, adrenalini yüksek bir dizi bana göre.

I don’t watch the TV every day. I turn on the television in news hours and if the serials that I follow appear. I watch the serial ‘Diriliş Ertuğrul’, in that I believe it describes the historical event with enthusiasm. Another serial that I follow is ‘Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz’. It is an adrenaline-filled serial, in each episode of which different events are described.

Gündemi takip etmek için haftanın hemen her günü haberleri izliyorum. ‘Kara Sevda’ adlı bir dizi var izlediğim. Fırsat buldukça ‘Survivor’ yarışma programını da izliyorum, hatta favori bir yarışmacım bile var.

I watch the news every day of the week in order to catch up with the agenda. I watch the serial ‘Kara Sevda’. If I have the chance, I also watch the competition program ‘Survivor’. Moreover, I have also got a favourite competitor.

Günde iki saat kadar televizyon seyrediyorum. Haberler, maçlar, siyaset ve tartışma programları ve spor yorumlarını takip ediyorum. İzlediğim belli bir dizi yok. Daha çok beğendiğim ödüllü oyuncuların rol aldığı yabancı filmleri izliyorum.

I can watch the TV around for two hours per day. I follow the news, matches, politics and discussion programs. I haven’t got a certain serial to watch. I prefer to watch the foreign movies where the my favourite actors or actresses who got reward appear.

I cannot find many chances to watch the TV as much as I want because I live in a dormitory. I fol-low the news, and I watch ‘Poyraz Karayel’ and ‘Hayat Şarkısı’, the topic and characters of which I find successful.

Televizyon uzun yıllardır hayatımızın önemli bir parçası olsa da, gelişen teknolojiyle birlikte köklü bir değişim geçiriyor. Dilediğimiz zaman ve mekanda, dilediğimizi izleyebilme imkanı, evde TV izleme oranını azaltırken, medya ve iletişim sektörünü de TV izleme tercih ve alışkanlıkları üzerine daha fazla yoğunlaşmaya zorluyor. Öte yandan TV teknolojisindeki yenilikler ve çok çeşitli tematik içerikler seyirciliği her ne kadar bireyselleştirse de, en çok izlediğimiz programlar, gündelik hayatımızın en çok konuşulan

konuları arasında yer almaya devam ediyor. Türkiye televizyonlarında adeta fenomen haline gelen yerli diziler, yarışmalar ve evlilik programları ise kuşkusuz TV’yi gündelik sohbetlerin merkezine oturtan unsurların başında geliyor. TV izleme alışkanlıklarından yola çıktık ve SAÜ öğrencilerine televizyonla ilişkilerini, program tercihlerini, dizi ya da yarışmaların takipçisi olup olmadıklarını sorduk.

Although the television has been a significant part of our lives, it has been through a radical chance with the advancements of the technology. While the opportunity to watch our desired channel anywhere and anytime decreases the amount of watching the TV at home, the media and communication sectors drive people to focus more on the habits and choices of watching the TV. In the other side, no matter how the innovations in the TV technology and various thematic content individualise the audience, our favourite programs

are still among the topics that we discuss in our daily life. As to the domestic TV serials, competitions and matchmaker programs which become nearly phenomenon in Turkish televisions, they are, without any doubt, in the first rank in the principles that put the TV in the centre in our conversations. We started out with the habit of watching the TV and we asked SAU students about their relations with the TV, their choices of program and whether they are following any serials or competitions.

Ayrıca her gün haber programlarını, haftada bir gün futbol, bir gün de basketbol maçlarını seyrediyorum. Belgesel ve yabancı dizileri de vakit buldukça izliyorum.

I watch the TV for two hours in two days in a week. I have been watching ‘Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu’ the theme and cast of which I like. In addition, I watch the news programs every day, a football match on one day in a week and basketball matches on one day. I watch documentaries and foreign TV serials if I have free time.

Hedefimize doğru ilerliyoruzWe are moving towards our goalÜniversitemizdeki eğitim-öğretim durumu, dersler, sınavlar, sınav türleri ve öğrenciye kazandırılacak yetkinlikler üzerinde ciddi bir şekilde çalışmaya tüm hızıyla devam ediyoruz. Öğrencilerin tartışma, grup çalışması, seminerler gibi daha aktif olacağı mekanizmaların çalıştırılmasını istiyoruz. Akreditasyon konusu da bizim için çok önemli. ÖSYM bu yıldan itibaren yayınlayacağı üniversite kılavuzunda da akredite olan bölümleri belirtecek. Akredite olan bölüm sayımız 40’a yaklaştı. Türkiye’de sayı itibariyle en çok akredite olan üniversiteyiz. Akreditasyonun yanı sıra kalite konusunda da öncüyüz.

Öğrenci memnuniyetini önemsiyoruzÜniversitemizde öğrenci görüşmeleri başladı. Öğretim elemanları ve yöneticilerden belirlenen gruplar, fakülte ve yüksekokullarda eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinin ve öğrencilerin isteklerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla öğrencilerle toplantılar gerçekleştiriyor. Görüşmeler için Eğitim Fakültesi’nden bir öğretim üyesi, değerlendirilecek olan fakülte veya yüksekokuldan dekan yardımcısı veya müdür yardımcısı, diğer birimlerden bir öğretim üyesi olmak üzere 3 kişiden oluşan gruplar, çeşitli sorular sorarak öğrencilerin isteklerini ve memnuniyetlerini değerlendiriyor. Öğrencilere verilen eğitim-öğretim hizmetinin kalitesini ölçmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilen görüşmelerin sonucunda çeşitli iyileştirmelere gidilecek.

***We continue to work seriously on the education state, courses, exams, exam types and innovations attributed to the students in our university. We want to operate the mechanisms, such as discussion, group discussions and seminars where the students become more active. The issue of accreditation is also very important to us. SSPC will state the accredited departments in the university guidebook which it will publish from now on. The number of our accredited departments has getting closed to 40. We are the most accredited university in Turkey in terms of quantity. We are also pioneer in quality, beside accreditation.We care about students’ satisfactionMeetings with students have started in our university. The groups which are determined from instructors and directors are conducting meetings with the students in order to evaluate the education operations in faculties and academies, and the wishes and desires of our students. Groups of 3 people, comprised of an instructor from Faculty of Education, deputy dean or deputy manager of the faculty or academy which is evaluated and an instructor from other units, evaluate the students’ wishes and satisfaction by asking various questions. Various improvements will be conducted at the end of the meetings which are carried out to evaluate quality of the education service provided to the students.

Genç iletişimciler TRT eğitim gezisindeYoung communicators in TRT education tripSakarya Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi tarafından Gazetecilik, İletişim Tasarımı ve Medya Bölümü birinci sınıf öğrencilerine yönelik haber ve yayıncılık uygulama sahalarını yakından tanımaları amacıyla TRT Ankara Müdürlüğü’ne eğitim gezisi düzenlendi.

Radyo Televizyon ve Sinema Bölümü’nden Arş. Gör. Sultan İleri ve Arş. Gör. Ayşe Gül Toprak’ın rehberliğinde 41 öğrencinin katıldığı gezide öğrenciler yayın stüdyoları, reji ve ses odaları, haber merkezi, TRT’nin canlı yayın aracında televizyon yayıncılığını uygulama aşamasında izleme, TRT Müzesi’ni de ziyaret edebilme fırsatı yakaladı.

Yayın stüdyoları gezildiTRT gezisinin ilk durağı Bahçelievler yerleşkesindeki Arı ve Orkut Stüdyoları oldu. TRT Başmühendislerinden Hikmet Taşbilek’in rehberliğinde öğrencilere reji ve ses odaları, stüdyolar tanıtıldı, kamera çekimleri hakkında bilgi verildi.

1993 yılından beri yayın hizmeti veren Arı Stüdyosu’nun 2016 yılı içinde yenileme çalışmalarıyla taşınma hazırlığı içinde olduğunu belirten Taşbilek, TRT Okul programlarının yayınlandığı Orkut Stüdyosu’nun iç tasarımda kullanılan malzemeler hakkında da bilgi verdi. Taşbilek, Orkut Stüdyosu’nda kullanılan fiber sistemin dünyada tek olduğunu belirtti.

Haberin mutfağı TRT Haber1964 yılından beri görsel işitsel haber yayıncılığının öncüsü olan TRT Ankara Haber Merkezi, eğitim gezisinin üçüncü durağı oldu. Uzmanlardan yayın sürecinin işleyişi, yayıncılıkta kullanılan teknik araçlar, ekipmanlar ve yayıncılık sistemleri hakkında bilgi alan öğrenciler,

habercilik bilinci ve haber üretim sürecinde takım çalışmasının önemi hakkında bilgilenme fırsatı buldu.

Görsel yayıncılığın tarihi: TRT MüzesiGezide, TRT’nin kuruluşundan günümüze kadar

kullanılan teknik araçları, program içeriklerini ve projeleri bir araya getirdiği TRT Müzesi de ziyaret edildi. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün 10.Yıl konuşmasında kullandığı mikrofon, ilk siyah-beyaz reklam, eski radyolar, fotoğraf makineleri gibi birçok tarihi gereç ve içeriğin yer aldığı ve yakın dönemden kukla müzik grubu Grup Şurup’tan Keloğlan Masalları’na kadar birçok projenin içeriği ve animasyon yapımı hakkında

bilgi veren görselleri içinde barındıran Müze öğrencilerden yoğun ilgi gördü.

Eğitim gezisinin son adresi TRT canlı yayın tırlarıydı. Her biri 24 kameraya sahip tırlarda canlı yayıncılık hakkında bilgi alan genç iletişimciler, haber ve yayıncılığın köklü kuruluşlarından olan TRT’ye düzenlenen geziyi, bol bol fotoğraf çekilerek noktaladı.

***A training trip to TRT was arranged by Sakarya University Faculty of Communication with the aim of introducing news arenas to Journalism, Communication Design and Media Department first grade students more closely.

The students found the opportunity to see broadcasting studio, director and audio rooms, news centre and to watch television broadcasting in the live broadcasting car of TRT in the implementation phase and to visit TRT Museum in the trip under the guidance of Res. Asst. Sultan İleri and Res. Asst. Gül Toprak from Radio, Television and Cinema Department, in which 41 students attended.

Broadcasting studios wanderedThe first station in TRT trip was Arı and Orkut Studious in Bahçelievler district. The students were given information about directing and audio room, introduced with studios and given information about shootings under the guidance of Hikmet Taşbilek, of general

engineers of TRT. Taşbilek, sho stated that Arı Studio, which had been giving broadcasting service since 1993, was getting ready to move with its restoration works in 2016, also gave information about the materials which were used in Orkut Studios, where TRT-Okul programs are broadcasted. Taşbilek stated that the fibre system used in Orkut Studio was unique in the world.

Kitchen of news, TRT HaberTRT Ankara News Centre, the pioneer of visual-audial news broadcasting since 1964, was the third station of the trip. The students, who attained information about the operation of broadcasting process, technical tools, equipment and broadcasting systems used in broadcasting from the experts, got the opportunity to get informed of the importance of team work in reporting consciousness and phase of producing news.

History of Visual Broadcasting: TRT MuseumTRT Museum, where technical tools which had been used since the foundation of TRT, program contents and projects were put together, was also visited in the trip. In the museum where various historical tools and contents, such as the first microphone used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in his 10th anniversary speech, the first black-white advertisement, antique radios, photography machines are available, a lot of visuals which give information about content of most projects ranging from the recent musical group Grup Şurup to Keloğlan and information about production of animation are also presented.

The last stop of the education trip is the live broadcasting trucks of TRT. The young communicators, who attained information about live broadcasting in the trucks each with 24 cameras, put an end to the trip to TRT, which is of a well-established institutions of news and broadcasting, by taking a lot of photos.

Sakarya Barosu tarafından baro hizmet binasında Sosyal Haklar Derneği Genel Başkanı Avukat Can Atalay’ın konuşmacı olarak katıldığı “Basın Hukuku Semineri” düzenlendi.

Açılış konuşmasını Sakarya Baro Başkanı Zafer Kazan’ın yaptığı etkinliğe basın çalışanları, avukatlar ve SAÜ İletişim Fakültesi Gazetecilik ve SAÜ MYO Basın-Yayın Bölümü öğrencileri katıldı.

Konuşmasında hukuk devleti ilkesinin temel unsurlarından bahseden Başkan Kazan “Hukuk devleti olabilmek için savunma ve basın özgürlüğünde idealleri yakalamak gerekiyor. ifadelerini kullandı.

“İfade özgürlüğü konusunda hem devletin hem de basının sorumlulukları var”Seminerde Avukat Atalay “Haber Alma Hakkı ve Basının Özgürlüğü”, “Haber Kaynağının Gizliliği”,

“Haber ve Yorumda Eleştiri”, “Düzeltme ve Cevap Hakkı” ana başlıklarında dinleyicilere bilgi verdi ve konularla ilgili gelen soruları cevapladı.

Konuşmasında ifade özgürlüğü konusunda hem devletin hem de basının sorumlulukları olduğuna dikkat çeken Atalay, “Devlet ifade özgürlüğüne müdahale edemediği gibi ifade özgürlüğünün uygulanabilmesi için gerekli ortamı da sağlamak zorundadır” dedi.

Basın hukuku konusunda daha uzun ve planlı bir eğitime ihtiyaç olduğunu belirten Baro Başkanı Av. Zafer Kazan gerçekleştirilen seminerin bu yolda bir başlangıç olduğunu belirtti.

Seminer sonunda Sakarya Baro Başkanı Av. Zafer Kazan tarafından konuşmacı Av. Can Atalay’a plaket ve çiçek taktim edildi ve dinleyicilerle birlikte hatıra fotoğrafı çektirildi.

***“Press Law Seminar”, in which Chairman of Social Rights Organisation Lawyer Can Atalay participated, was held by Sakarya Bar Association in the service building of the bar association.

Press employees, lawyers and students of SAU, Faculty of Communication, Journalism and SAU Vocational School, Press Department participated in the event where Chairman of Sakarya Bar Association, Zafer Kazan made the opening speech. Chairman Kazan, who

mentioned the main principles of the state of law in his speech, uttered these words, “It is essential to keep defence and ideals of freedom of the press in order to be a state of law.

“Both government and press have got responsibilities in freedom for expression.”Lawyer Atalay gave information to the audience in the seminar under the main titles, Seminerde Avukat Atalay “Right of Obtainment of Information and Freedom of the Press”, “Secrecy of Information Source”, “Information and Critics in Interpretations”, “Right of Correcting and Responding” and answered the questions related to the topics.

Atalay, who stressed out in his speech that both the government and the press had got responsibilities in the issue of freedom of expression, said, “The government have to provide essential setting for applying freedom of expression as it cannot interfere with the right of expression.”

Chairman of Bar Association, Lawyer Zafer Kazan, who stated that there was a need for longer and more planned education on the issue of the press law, uttered that seminar held was a beginning in that path.

The spokesman Lawyer Can Atalay was presented with plaque and flower by Chairman of Sakarya Bar Association Lawyer Zafer Kazan, and a souvenir photo including the audience was taken at the end of the seminar.

Öğrencilerimiz durmaksızın üretiyorOur students are producing continuouslyNisan sayımızdan hepinize merhaba. Alanında nitelikli ve aktif öğrenciler yetiştirmeyi ilke edinmiş olan fakültemiz, ne mutlu ki bu ay da amacına yaraşır çalışmalar ortaya koydu. Kampüsün sesi olma hedefiyle yola çıkan gazetemiz Kampüs Haber ve internet televizyonumuz SAÜ TV’nin genç ve dinamik muhabirleri, “Kampüs Haber Objektifinden Sakarya” adlı bir fotoğraf sergisine imza attı. Öğrencilerimizin, Sakarya ve çevresinin doğal güzelliklerini ve kültürel dokusunu yansıtan sergisi, eminim ki kentimizin tanıtımına da önemli katkı sunacak.

Geleceğin sinemacılarının heyecanlarına ortak olabilmek amacıyla düzenlediğimiz Golden Pumpkin Kısa Film Yarışması’nın hazırlıklarını da nihayet tamamladık. Ana temasını “Üniversite” olarak belirlediğimiz ve Türkiye’deki tüm üniversite öğrencilerine açık olan yarışmamızın galası 2 Mayıs’ta. Genç yönetmen adayı arkadaşlarımızın heyecanlarını paylaşmaya sizleri de davet ediyoruz.

***Hello from our April issue. Our faculty, which made a point of educating students qualified in their field and active, produced some works which serve to their purpose this month. The young and dynamic reporters of Campusnews, our newspaper, which set out to become the voice of the campus, and our Internet television, SAU TV put a signature to a photograph exhibition, called “Sakarya from Objectives of CampusNews” Our students’ exhibition, which reflect the natural beauties and cultural tissues of Sakarya and its surroundings, surely contribute a lot to introduction of our city.

We finally completed the preparations of Golden Pumpkin Short Movies Contest, which we have organised to share the excitement of future cinema makers. The gala night of our contest, the theme of which we planned as “University” and which is open to all university students in Turkey, is on May, 2. We would like to invite you to share the excitement of our young prospective director friends.

The last step in taking shoots of the introductory film of the university, which the students and instructors were involved, has been completed. I would like to present my endless thanks to our students and instructors who worked devotedly to realize the introductory films, which were prepared in the quality of guidance to the students in the phase of university choice.

The doubtlessly most meaningful day of the month April is April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, which was presented our dear children of the future. I sincerely a wish happy day to all of our children and those who succeeded to protect the children in themselves.

‘Sosyal Medya 101’ adlı etkinlikte İletişim Fakültesi öğrencileriyle bir araya gelen USMED’in yönetim kurulu üyeleri Pınar Karancı Boran, Mertcan Ermiş ve Adem İzgi öğrencilere, sosyal medyanın daha etkili nasıl kullanılacağı ve sosyal medya uzmanlığı hakkında bilgi verdi.

Bu noktada çok fazla teknik bilgiye ve teknolojiye ihtiyaç var. Ama her şeyden önce sektörün iletişimcilere ihtiyacı var. Profesyonel iletişimciler bu alanda yeterince yer almıyor. Sosyal medya alanında uzmanlaşmak isteyen, projesi olan arkadaşlarımıza bu alanda destekliyoruz. On yıl sonra hayatımıza girecek olan yapay zekâ için iletişim kanallarını şimdiden iyi kullanırsanız ileride çok daha iyi işler yapabilirsiniz.”

Dijital pazarlamacı olarak insanları bir arada tutan ve dijital motivasyonun kullanıcılara nasıl uygulandığı sorusuna cevap bulmaya çalıştıklarının belirten İzgi, “Günümüzde iletişimin tamamı sosyal medya alanında yürütülmektedir. İnternet deyip geçiyorsunuz ama her ülkenin kendi iletişim kanalları kendi networkleri var… Kullanıcılar yeni bir uygulama kişisel beklentileri

karşılamadığında o alanı terk etmekte. Markalar iletişim kanallarının planlamalarını çok iyi yapmalı, iletişimciler kullanıcı odaklı iletişime daha fazla önem vermelidir.” dedi.

Communication, more important than technological advancementsMedia consultant and the member of ISMO, Pınar Karancı Boran, who stressed out that the ability of getting a good communication was more important than technical knowledge in brand management, stated that they were ready to support young people who want to specialise in the social media area. Boran, who stated that young communicators would be needed more, said, “Digital media is the means of communication of the New Age. In that point, there is an extensive need for technical knowledge and technology. But, above all, this sector is in

need of young communicators. Professional communicators are not involved in this area very much. We support our young fellows with their projects who want to specialise in this field. If you use, even now, the communication channels which we will need for the artificial intelligence which will come into our lives in the next 10 years, you can do much better work at the future.”

Digital Motivation, Very Important inDigital AgeThe representative of ISMO, Adem İzgi, who provided students with the information on creative campaigns and digital marketing in his speech, said that digital marketing was very important for the country and the brands. İzgi, who stated they tried to find an answer for the question how digital marketing keeps people in company and how digital motivation is applied to the users, said, “The whole of the communication is processed in the social media today. You underrate the Internet. But every country has got its own communication channels and its own networks. When a new application does not need a user’s expectations, s/he leaves this area. Brands had better plan the communication channels very well. Communicators should focus more on the user-based communication.

Sakarya Kent Konseyi Gençlik Meclisi’nin düzenlediği Sakarya Genç Liderler Buluşması’nda 2015 yılının en aktif kulüp başkanı ödülünü alan Hüseyin Akar, Endüstri Mühendisliği Kulübü’ndeki (EMK) etkinlikleri ve başarıya giden hikâyesini Kampüs Haber’le paylaştı. Öncelikle kendinizden biraz bahseder misiniz? Öğrenci topluluğu faaliyetlerine nasıl başladınız?Endüstri Mühendisliği 4. sınıf öğrencisiyim. Gönüllülük çalışmalarına üniversite öğrencisi olmadan önce başlamıştım. Gençlik ve Spor Bakanlığı çatısı altında küçük yaştaki kardeşlerimize ebru sanatı eğitimi veriyordum. Üniversiteyi kazandıktan sonra gönüllü çalışma faaliyetlerime devam edebileceğim yerler aradım ve çalışmalarımı sürdürmekte en faydalı alanın öğrenci kulüpleri olacağını keşfettim.EMK ile buluşmanız nasıl oldu?EMK, Sakarya Üniversitesi’nin en aktif kulübü. Kulübün öğrenciler için farklı alanlarda bir şeyler üretebilme çabası ve faaliyetlerinin öğrenci odaklı olması beni cezbetti.EMK gibi aktif bir kulüpte sizi kulüp başkanlığına götüren süreçlerden bahseder misiniz?Kulüp arkadaşları beni projelerine dahil ederken, ben de çevreme ve kulübe nasıl daha faydalı olurum diye özel araştırmalar yapıyordum. Sakarya’nın otomotiv üssü olabileceğiyle ilgili haberler dolaşıyordu. Bu kapsamda Sakarya Otomotiv Zirvesi Projesi yapmaya karar verdim ve otomotiv sektöründe ne kadar söz sahibi insan varsa hepsine ulaşmaya çalıştım. Yapmak istediğimiz işin ruhunu, amacını ve kültürünü grup üyelerine hissettirebilmelisiniz. ***Hüseyin Akar, who was awarded with the most active head of community of 2015 in Sakarya Young Leaders’ Meeting, which was organised by Sakarya City Council Parliament, shared the activities in Industrial Engineering Community (IEC) and his story of success with CampusNews. Could you please introduce yourself a bit? How did you start student communities’ activities?I am a fourth grader in Industrial Engineering. I had started the voluntary works before becoming a university student. I was giving marbling art training to our younger brothers under the roof of Ministry of Youth and Sports. After entering the university, I looked for places where I could go on my voluntary work activities and I discovered that student communities would be the most beneficial field where I could sustain my works.

How did you acquaint with IEC?IEC is the most active community of Sakarya University. The students’ efforts for producing some stuff in different areas and the student-centred activities of the community attracted my interest.Could you mention the periods that take you to become the head of an active community like IEC? While the community friends were including me in the projects, I was making special research on how I could be more beneficial to my environment and the community. Some rumours on the potential of Sakarya to become a power in automotive. In this regard, I decided to conduct Sakarya Automotive Peak Project and tried to contact with every person who is famous in automotive sector. I sent them invitations. That work which was held in April, 2013 became my first event. I was chosen as vice chairman in the following period.You were awarded with the most active head of community of 2015. In how many event did you put your sign? I have never counted how

many events I have organised. I think they do not make any sense. What is important is to how many people we have provided benefits and to how many people we have reached and served. To be able to create a platform where a university student can create beneficial events for student friends has become the main goal of both mine and the community. How did you feel when you won the most active head of community award? Sakarya City Council Parliament deemed our club worthy of becoming the most active club and me worthy of becoming the most active head of community. I would like to thank them. I am honoured. I want to thank all my teammates who have supported me.How did you have the atmosphere called community spirit?We have been doing our best as the community since 1994 so that the following year could be more beneficial and active. Having the community spirit needs to become a team after all. Becoming a team also depends on the fact that community members work not individually, but all together. You should be able to make the community members feel the spirit, goal and culture of your target work. This spirit arises the moment every one of the teammates shares the same feelings with the group. IEC is a popular community of engineering that serves to all students of the faculty. What is the secret of it?It is Industrial Engineering people-centred. We hold events and organisations which can be beneficial for everybody by taking humans in the centre in our works. We try to improve ourselves. What are your plans for the future?The award that I received has motivated me very much. My works, which started before I entered the university and which lasted during my education, will also continue even after I have graduated. Because my mission is to be able to be

Yemek kültürü, bölgesel ve yöresel özellikleriyle birbirinden farklı lezzetlerinin yanında bunların sunum tarzlarını da içerir. Her toplum kendine özgü yeme alışkanlıklarını, yemeğin tadına da sofra düzenine de yansıtır. Sofraların olmazsa olmaz gereçlerinden biri de, sayesinde lezzetle buluştuğumuz kaşıklardır kuşkusuz.

Tarihteki yolculuğuna çeşitli ağaçların hammaddesinden vücut bularak başlayan, ardından altın, gümüş, çelik türleriyle de çeşitlenip varlık göstergesine de dönüşen kaşık, bugün, az sayıda zanaatkarın elinde tahtadan suretini korumaya devam ediyor. Sakarya’nın Taraklı ilçesindeki bir avuç kaşıkçı ustası da, ata mirası mesleği ve Orta Asya’dan Anadolu’ya süregelen bir geleneği yaşatmayı ısrarla sürdürüyor.

45 dakikalık aşk Sayıları her geçen gün azalan kaşıkçı ustalarından olan 70 yaşındaki Sabri Özşahin, zanaatini, Taraklı Kültür Evi’ndeki ‘kaşık odası’nda devam ettiriyor. Kaşıkçılığı dördüncü kuşak olarak 10 yaşından beri sürdüren Sabri usta, 6 metrekarelik mekanında, işi bittiğinde yorgunluğunu adeta unuturcasına tutkuyla, el emeği göz nuru döküyor.

Anlatılan o ki, kaşık yapımında Karadeniz bölgesinde, özellikle de Kastamonu ve Zonguldak’ta yetişen Şimşir ağacı bakteri tutmaması, dayanıklılığı ve kabuğu altındaki gizli sarımsı dokusu dolayısıyla daha çok tercih ediliyor. El yapımı bir kaşığın ortaya çıkabilmesi beş farklı aşamada ortalama 45 dakika sürüyor. Kullanım özelliklerine göre değişmekle birlikte bir kaşık ortalama 15-20 yıl kullanılabiliyor.Uzun ve zahmetli bir iş olan kaşık yapımı, şimşir ağacının iki kaşık boyutunda, Sabri ustanın dediğine göre ‘tomsak’ halinde kesilmesiyle başlıyor. Tomsak haline gelen ağaç nacakla kaşık formuna sokuluyor. ‘Taslama’olarak adlandırılan ikinci aşamayı,

kaşığın baş ve sap kısımlarının nacakla düzeltildiği ‘iğdeleme’ işlemi takip ediyor. Kaşığın ağız kısmının özel olarak oyularak inceltildiği, sapının özel bıçaklarla düzeltildiği ‘iğdeleme’, işin ayrıca ustalık ve maharet gerektiren aşaması. Kaşığın iç kısımlarında oluşan keser izleri, törpülerle ‘yalaklama’ aşamasında inceltiliyor. Zımparalanan kaşıkların dış yüzeyleri törpülendikten sonra yün veya keçeyle pürüzsüz hale getiriliyor, mesleki tabirle ‘perdahlanıyor’. Sabri usta şimşir ağacının kaşığa dönüşme hikayesini, gözünü işinden bir dakika bile ayırmaksızın yaşayarak ve yaşatarak anlatırken, mesleğine olan tutkusunu da adeta bile isteye ele veriyor.

Taraklı’dan Avrupa’yaTürk folklorunun özgün gereçlerinden olan ve halk oyunlarında bir ritm aracı olarak da kullanılan tahta kaşık, bugün Avrupa ülkelerinde yeniden sofra ve mutfaklarda yerini almaya başlamış. Fransız müşterilerden zeytin dalından salata karıştırma çubuğu siparişleri geldiğini söyleyen Sabri usta, İtalyanlardan da kaşık yapımı için ülkelerine davet almış. Sabri ustanın anlattığına göre, tahta kaşıklar daha çok uluslararası pazarda sağlığını ve damak zevkini düşünen müşteriler tarafından satın alınıyor. Yurtdışı satışlarından daha az olan iç piyasada ise müşteriler daha çok İstanbul başta olmak üzere Ankara, Adana ve İzmir’den geliyor.

Kaşıkçılık teknolojiye direniyorTaraklı Kaymakamlığı ve Taraklı Belediyesi’nin isteği üzerine hafta sonları Taraklı Kültür Evi’nde kurs veren 2012 yılının Ahisi Kaşık Ustası Sabri Özşahin, bir yandan mesleğini icra ederken diğer yandan gelecek nesillere bunu aktarmaya çalışıyor. Kaşıkçılığın teknolojiye direndiğini söyleyen Sabri usta, yetiştirmek için yeterli sayıda çırak bulunamadığında mesleğin kaybolmaya mahkum olacağını buruk bir ifadeyle sözlerine ekliyor.

Sanayileşme ve teknolojinin ilerlemesi, kaşığı binbir forma, kaşıkçılığı da yaşam mücadelesine sokuyor ister istemez. Türk kültürü ve geleneğinin vazgeçilmez gereci, sofralardan öte, cilalanıp parlatılmış haliyle bir hediyelik eşya olarak vitrin ya da tezgahlarda karşımıza çıkıveriyor. Mesleğin ruhu, Sabri usta gibi, en azından kendi çocuklarına el vermiş, kaşıkçılığı gelecek nesillere aktarma telaşına girmiş az sayıdaki zanaatkarın yüzü suyu hürmetine yaşamaya devam ediyor. Bize de onların izini sürmek, kaşıkçıların hikayesini satırlarda ölümsüzleştirmek düşüyor.

***Food culture contains the tastes different from one another for their regional and local features together with the way of presentation. Every society reflects their unique food habits on tastes of the food and the table arrangement. One of the most essential tools of the tables is, without no doubt, spoons whereby we meet with the taste.

Spoons which start their travel in the history by coming into existence of the raw materials of trees and which became the symbol of wealth, getting varied with gold, silver and steel continue to sustain its existence of wood in the

hands of few craftsmen. A handful of spoon makers in Sakarya, Taraklı continues to keep this ancestor heritage profession and a tradition ongoing from Middle Asia to Anatolia alive.

45-Minutes-Lasting Love 70 years old, Sabri Özşahin, who is one of the spoon makers who are decreasing in quantity day by day, continues his handcraft in “spoon room” in Taraklı Culture House. Master Sabri, who has been continuing spoon making as the fourth generation since he was 10 years old, produces handicrafts with great passion similar to forgetting his tiredness in his 6 square meters workplace when he completes the work.As things stand, boxwoods which grow in the Black Sea region, especially in Kastamonu and Zonguldak, are more preferable in making spoons, since they are not infected, and thanks to their endurance and yellowish tissue under its cover. Production of a handmade spoon takes 45 minutes in five different stages. A spoon can be used about for 15-20 years depending on the features of use.

A long and hard work, spoon making starts by cutting in “tomsak” as Master Sabri says and in the length of 2 spoons of boxwood. The tree in this shape is shaped as the form of spoon with a wooden hatchet. The second phase called ‘grinding’ is followed by the phase slicking where the head and handle parts of spoons are straightened with the hatchet. The phase grinding, when the edge of spoons is

thinned by being specially carved, and when the handles of them are straightened with special knives, is the phase which also needs craftsmanship and dexterity. The traces of adze which appear in the inner parts of the spoons is made thin with rasps in the basin phase. After the outer parts of the grinded spoons are rasped, they are made slick with wool or mat, in professional saying, they are polished. While Master Sabri is telling the story of the boxwood tree to become a spoon by keeping sight of his work all the time, by experiencing it and letting other experience it, he is giving away his passion for his profession almost purposely and intentionally.

From Taraklı to EuropeWooden spoons which are of staffs peculiar to the Turkish folk and which is also used as a tool of rhythm in folk dances have started appearing on tables and in kitchens in Europe today again. Master Sabri, who told that French customers had ordered wooden stick for mixing salad, received an invitation from French customers to their country for making spoon. According to what Master Sabri said, wooden spoons are bought more by customers in international markets who care their health

and taste. As to the domestic market which is much lower than the overseas sales, customers come from Ankara, Adana and İzmir, especially İstanbul for most of the time.

Spoon making resists technologyAhi of 2012, Spoon making Master Sabri Özşahin, who teaches couse in Taraklı Culture House on weekends as the request of Taraklı Governorship and Taraklı Municipality, in one side, performs his profession and, on the other side, tries to hand down information to the next generations. Master Sabri, who says that spoon making resists the technology, adds to his utterances with a heavy expression that if apprentices cannot be found in enough quantity to train, the profession will be condemned to extinction.

Industrialization and advancement in technology, without any doubt, puts spoons in thousands of form and spoon making in life challenge. The irreplaceable tool of the Turkish culture suddenly appears in showcases and stands as a souvenir with its polished and glossed shape, rather than appearing in tables.

The spirit of the profession continues to live out of respect to very few craftsmen who, like Master Sabri, have given a hand to their children and taken alarm to hand down spoon making to the next generations. So it becomes our responsibility to follow their path and to eternise the story of spoon makers in lines.

Ezelden türküleriyle başladı. Karanfil Bed Renk Olur, Dolana Ay Dolana türkülerinin de icra edildiği etkinlikte dinleyicilerin yoğun isteği üzerine Nemrut’un Kızı tür-küsü bir kez daha seslendirildi.

Muratgil’in Damından Atlayamadım tür-küsüyle kapanışını gerçekleştiren etkinlik sonunda Sakarya Üniversitesi Devlet Kon-servatuarı Müdürü Prof. Dr. Hatice Selen Tekin müzik şöleninin gerçekleşmesinde emeği ve katkısı olan Yrd. Doç. Dr. Sertan Demir ve ekibine teşekkür etti.

Etkinlik sonunda misafirlere Şanlıurfa mutfak kültürünün vazgeçilmez tatların-dan olan çiğ köfte ikram edildi.

The event, where the tradition of Urfa traditional song night was experienced and the most-liked folk songs and unme-tered folk songs of the regions where that tradition is experienced were sung, started with Urfa Divan Ayağı and Urfalıyım Ezelden, the folk songs peculiar to Urfa district. The folk song Nemrut’un Kızı was sung once more as a result of the profound desire of the audience in the event where the folk songs Karanfil Bed Renk Olur and Dolana Ay Dolana were sung, as well.

The Head of Sakarya University State Conservatory, Prof. Dr. Hatice Selen Tekin presented her thanks for Ass. Prof. Sertan Demir and his team who worked hard and contributed to existence of the traditional song night ceremony at the end of the event.

Sakarya Üniversitesi İletişim Fakültesi uygulama gazetesi Kampüs Haber ve SAÜ TV muhabirleri tarafından hazırlanan “Kampüs Haber Objektifinden Sakarya” temalı fotoğraf sergisi açıldı.

Sakarya’nın kent alanı, önemli tarihi ve doğal güzelliklerini içeren otuz yedi fotoğraftan oluşan karma sergi SAÜ Kültür ve Kongre Merkezi’nde gösterime sunuldu.

Sergi 29 Nisan’a kadar fotoğraf severler tarafından ziyaret edilebilecek.

“Sakarya from the Objectives of CampusNews” themed photograph exhibition, which was prepared by the reporters of CampusNews, the practice newspaper of Sakarya University, Faculty of

Communication, and SAU TV has been opened.

The mixed exhibition, which is comprised of thirty seven photographs, reflecting the city area, important history and natural beauties

of Sakarya, was put on display in SAU Culture and Congress Centre.

The exhibition can be visited by photograph lovers until 29 April.

Sakarya Üniversitesi Tiyatro Topluluğu (SAÜTT) 2016 yılı sezon oyunu “Yalancı”nın gösterimi için seyircili provalara başladı.

İtalyan tiyatro yazarı Carlo Goldoni’nin müzikli komedi türündeki oyunu ‘Yalancı’, eğitimli ve yetenekli bir genç olmakla birlikte iflah olmaz yalancılığıyla tanınan Mahsus’un hikayesini anlatıyor.

“Yalancı” 12 Mayıs’ta SAÜ Kültür ve Kongre Merkezi’nde seyircisiyle buluşacak.

Theatre Community (SAUTC) started the rehearsals with audience for the exhibition of 2016 year season play “Yalancı”.

Italian theatre writer, Carlo Goldoni’s musical comedy play ‘Yalancı’ describes the story of Mahsus, a young educated and skilled person, who is also famous for his incorrigible deceitfulness.

“Yalancı” will be staged in SAU Culture and Congress Centre on 12 May.

Hiç şemsiyeler uçar mı? Üstelik sapına bağlanmış şişman bir kediyle beraber.Eğer konu ‘çocuk’ olmaksa şemsiyeler de uçar, gezegenler de dans eder.

İşte Eleftheria ve kendisinden iki yaş küçük tek yumurta ikizi erkek kardeşleri, çocukluk düşlerinin havalar-da uçuştuğu bu hikâyenin başkahra-manları.

İkinci Dünya Savaşı sıralarında gelişen olaylar Eleftheria’nın –namı diğer ‘Le-veran Yaratığı’- gözünden okuyucuya aktarılıyor.

Eleftheria, kendi hayal dünyasını beslemekle uğraşırken, aynı anda ikiz kardeşlerinin öğle uykularında gizlice camdan dışarı seğirtip, komşularının bahçelerinde yaptıkları afacanlıkları dizginlemek zorunda. İkizlerin düş gücü, yaşlı ve huysuz komşularının meşhur mor şemsiyesini kaçırıp sapına şişman bir kediyi bağladıktan sonra uçurmaktan çok daha ötede. Ebeveyn-lerinden dayak ve fırça yemek pahası-na, hayal dünyalarında kurdukları her ayrıntıyı gerçek dünyaya aktarmaya çalışan ikizler, ablaları Eleftheria’nın aksine gerçeklerin ve düşlerin sınırlarını belirlemiyor.

Sabırlı ve mantıklı Eleftheria zaman zaman kardeşlerinin deliliklerine ortak olmakla beraber, onları hizaya getirmek için de çaba harcıyor, ama boşuna.

AlkiZei tarafından, çocuk bakış açısıyla yazılmış Yunan ürünü bu hikâye “Küçük Prens “ten sonra, okuduğum en sevimli ve zengin kitap.

The twins, who try to transfer every detail they dream in their imagination to the real world at the risk of being beaten and humiliated by their parents, do not limit the reality and dreams unlike thir elder sister.

Besides being a party to her brothers’ crazy things from time to time, patient and logical Eleftheria makes effort to set them straight. But it makes no sense.

I have never read such a cute and rich book like this Greek-production story book written by AlkiZei with a child perspective since having read “Little Prince”.

Çocukken her şey bizim için şiirsel bir boyutta olurdu. Benim Tanrı ile tanışmamda fazlasıyla şiirseldi. Bodrum’da yağmurlu bir gecenin sabahı bahçeye çıkmıştım.Toprak yağmurla yıkanmış, mis gibi kokuyordu. Bahçenin çıkışına doğru ilerledim. Toprak yol göle dönmüştü. Suyla oynamak için kenara iliştiğimde suda küçük bir şey dikkatimi çekti. Dikkatlice baktığımda onun bir oyuncak olduğunu farkettim. Ani bir sevinç dalgasıyla oyuncağı elime aldım. O an Tanrıyı hissettim. O oyuncağı bana getiren Tanrıydı. Belki mantıksal açıdan irdelersek çokta doğru bir düşünce olmayabilirdi ama masumca bir şey değil midir zaten inanma hali. Ama inanıyorsun işte. Tanrı benim için o oyuncağı elime aldığım anki mutluluktu. Seksen yaşına gelsem de unutamayacağım bir andı. Çocuk olmak demek şair olmak demektir. Bir çocuk için yaşam demek şiir demektir. Her çocuk şairdir, bazı insanlar büyüdükçe içindeki şair de yok oluyor. İçinizdeki şairi yok etmemeniz dileğiyle.

When we were a child, everything would be in a poetic dimension. Even my meeting with God was quite poetic. I went out the garden on the morning of a rainy night in Bodrum. The soil was washed with rain and it smelt great. I moved across the exit of the garden. The earth road became lake. When I perched on the edge to play with the water, I was attracted by a small thing in the water. I realized that it was a toy when I had a close look at it. I took the toy in my hands with great happiness. I felt the God at that moment. It was God who brought that toy to me. Maybe it wasn’t a reasonable idea if we analyze it logically. But the state of believing is innocent, isn’t it. But you believed in it anyway. God was the happiness that I felt when I took the toy in my hands. Being a child meant to be a poet. Life means poem to a child. Every child is a poet, as some people grow up, the poets inside themselves disappear. Hope you not to destroy the poet inside you.

Küçük pembe bebek evlerimizi, mahallemizdeki taşın toprağın içinde arkadaşlarımızla oynadığımız oyunlarımızı geride bırakarak büyüdük. Küçük bir anaokulunda arkadaşlarıyla oyun oynayan çocukları görünce bebek evlerimize, çocukluk arkadaşlarımızla geçirdiğimiz mahalle oyunlarımıza geri dönmek istemiyor muyuz?

We grew up, leaving our small pink houses, our ga-mes we used to play with our friends in dirty places in our neighbourhood behind. Don’t we want to go back to our street games which we used to play with our childhood friends, or baby houses when we see children playing with their friends in a small nursery school?

A pair of eyes which shares curiosity and happiness together out of the window of a wooden house with tendency to getting old coincided with our objective while we were wandering in the streets of Göynük. We think again, what hopeful thing to be a child when dreams unite with this childish hope.
