You can reasonably travel around Izu area with “Suruga Bay Ferry”, “Izukyu Line”, “Izu Hakone Railway Line”, and “Izu Hakone Bus”. It is convenient and reasonable free pass tickets to travel around Izu Peninsula.

※It is not possible to walk between Kawazu Station and Nana-daru, since the distance is 10 kilometer slope road. Bus service operated by Tokai Bus is available. It takes about 30 minutes (costs about 600 yen).

Kawazu is often used as a filming location for movies

and soap operas.The short story, “The Izu Dancer” which was authored by the first Japanese Nobel Prize winner, Yasunari Kawabata has been dramatized in 6 movies in Japan.It is a story about an early love between a young male student and one of the travel-ling dance performers. The Yugano area in Kawazu was used as a filming location for the movie.
