Theres a theory that the worddemokratia was coined bydemocracysenemies, membersof the rich and aristocratic elitewho did not like being outvotedby the common herd, theirsocial and economic inferiors. Ifthis theory is right, democracy

must originally have meantsomething like mob rule ordictatorshipof the proletariat.

The word monarch (Latin: monarcha) comes from the Greek

    monrches, (from mnos, , "one/singular,"

and rchon, , "leader/ruler/chief") which referred to a

single, at least nominally absolute ruler. In current usage theword monarchy generally refers to a traditional system of

hereditary rule, as elective monarchies are rare in the modern

period. We cannot find any better definition of monarchy

than what this is: a monarchy is the government which isruled by one person, who is wholly set apart from all other

members of the state's (called his subjects).

It is defined as the govern that just only gentles could

    practice.

    Aristocracy (Greek aristokrata, from

aristos "excellent," and kratos "power"), is a form ofgovernment in which a few elite citizens rule. The term

derives from the Greek aristokratia, meaning "rule of the

best". In origin in Ancient Greece, it was conceived of as rule

by the best qualified citizens, and contrasted with monarchy. In later times, aristocracy was seen as rule by a privileged

group (the aristocratic class) and contrasted with democracy.

Oligarchy (from Greek , oligarkha) is a form of

power structure in which power effectively rests with a small

number of people. These people could be distinguished byroyalty, wealth, family ties, corporate, or military control.

The word oligarchy is from the Greek words ""

(olgos), "a few and the verb "" (archo), "to rule, to

govern, to command". Such states are often controlled by afew prominent families who pass their influence from one

    generation to the next.

Democracy is defines like the exercise of power by the people forthe people.

The word "democracy" (Greek: ) combines theelements dmos (, which means "people") and krtos

(, which means "force" or "power"). In the words"monarchy" and "oligarchy", the second element arche ()means "rule", "leading" or "being first". It is unlikely that the term"democracy" was coined by its detractors who rejected the

possibility of a valid "demarchy", as the word "demarchy" alreadyexisted and had the meaning of mayor or municipal. One couldassume the new term was coined and adopted by Atheniandemocrats.
