The Royal Exhibition was visited yesterday by the Minister of Industry, H.E. Dr. Atchaka Sibunruang

and VIP guests including Ms. Ajarin Pattanapanchai, Deputy Secretary General, Thailand Board

of Investment; Mr.Jime Essink, President and CEO, UBM Asia; Mr. Chirapan Oulapathorn,

The exhibition displays a special series of 12 portraits of the King and aims to show loyalty

both in domestic and overseas markets. Recognizing this trend, the Thai Tool and

Die Industry Association (TDIA) has joined forces with King Mongkut’s University

of Technology Thonburi and UBM Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to organize a Seminar

on “The Design Principle of Metal Sheet Forming”. The Seminar will be held from

11-13 May 2016. During its three days participants will receive in-depth information

ranging from the design of the mold and the way to extend its use so that they

understand its design and learn the causes and of wear and ways to prevent the

mold from excess wear. This will include stamping, cutting and folding the mold

using real examples. In addition, there will be a case study on Ultra High Strengths

Steels that play an increasingly important role in the parts manufacturing industry.

who paid close attention to the proceedings. Assoc.Prof Bhadpiroon Sresomroeng

Head of Mold Technology Center, Department of Tool and Die Engineering,

Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture,

Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, This information was very

beneficial and participants also had the chance to ask questions and use the

information to improve their business. Therefore, it can be said that the Seminar

certainly ended on a high note.

Two more days of not-to-be-missed information The seminar will continue for 2 more days. On 12 May 2016, Asst. Prof. Varunee

Premanond, Head of Tool and Materials Engineering Department, Faculty of

Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, will talk about

Deep Drawing Sheet Metal covering the basic ranging from Deep Drawing,

calculation of Drawing, Drawing process and mold & practice design. On the last

day, Dr Ratchanee Hato , Department of Tool and Materials Engineering, Faculty

of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, will conclude

the Seminar with cutting process, press brake, folding process, metal flowing and

etc.Throughout the 3 days of the seminar, entrepreneurs will gain knowledge and

understanding of the technique of metal sheet mold manufacturing.
