    Resus read Dalawang Bayaning Bansa by Rene Villanuevaand published by Adarna, abook about the lives of nationalheroes Jose Rizal and AndresBonifacio.

    Sophia school principal AnnAbacan read Dragong Pula byVirgilio Almario, while teachersDoray Carable, Ellie Carable,Osang de la Vega and Salie Vil-laluz read Si Elmong Gamugamoby Maria Susana Baclogon.

    Dragong Pula is a story of adragon initially deemed a threatby townspeople but who even-

    tually became their hero whenhe saved their village.Cautious lanternfly

    Si Elmong Gamugamo isabout a very cautious lanternfly,often teased by his friends be-cause he always played it safeand never went very near a fire.He ended up saving his moreadventurous friends when their
