Respected Director sir,
This is as regards the mail I had sent u regarding a matter related to Sri Ketan
Bhatt, Computer Professional, Computer Center of IIMA and the reply I so thankfully
got from u.
The main issue raised by me in the mail was that as per Sri Bhatts version
instructions had been issued to ur staff not to acknowledge receipt of his letters,
while u had rightly said that I should have ascertained the facts before acceptingthe accusations against the Director/Dean of IIMA and giving it currency. U had also
attached the order issued by the information commissioner in April 2010 on Mr. Ketan
Bhat's filings against the Institute, having definite adverse comments against him as
a user of the RTI Act.
Yet the fundamental issue raise by me still remains unanswered. More importantly it
is backed by a audio recording where the same thing is possibly being stated by one
of ur own staff members. Meanwhile I have also come to know of another matter related
with Sri Bhatt (along with documentary proof), which is even more serious. The
documents with me say that Sri Bhatt was removed from some ERP Project in the
Institute in which an accusation was made about his having colluded with one
particular party and trying to do some illegal favour for that party. Since then Sri
Bhatt has sent a very large number of letters and mails asking for a proper vigilanceenquiry to be made in his accusations but so far no Vigilance enquiry has been
initiated.
I certainly agree that while this still could be a one-sided version of the entire
episode and there might be many more facts unknown to me yet two things immediately
come to my mind-
1. If Sri Bhatts letter are not being received by the authorities at IIMA, it would
definitely be regarded a matter of serious concern
2. If Sri Bhatt has been asking for a proper Vigilance enquiry to be made in a matter
in which he was accused, it should have been done immediately
Once again, I say that my version could be partial and one-sided but yet these are
facts (along with accompanied proofs) that need to be properly looked into. If SriKetan Bhatt is a nuisance and a rogue and is not performing his duties correctly,
proper disciplinary action must be initiated against him in a most open and ruthless
manner to be followed by the severest punishment imposed upon him but leaving the
matter in limbo only adds up to the confusion.
At the same time, I would make it clear that a high-level authority like u are in no
way answerable to me and more important than an answer would be to get the issues
permanently resolved.
