Introduction and concepts

Mathematics has been around since the beginnings of time and it most probably began with counting. Learn the history of mathematics, and get to know some of the greatest mathematical minds and their contributions.

Common Uses

Math’s is very useful in now days in everything like:-

in market, in kitchen, in business, in arts and etc.

What is mathematics?

◦Mathematics is defined as the science which deals with logic of shape, quantity and arrangement. During ancient times in Egypt, the Egyptians used math's and complex mathematic equations like geometry and algebra. That is how they managed to build the pyramids.

Understanding Percentage

Using money is a good way of understanding percentages. As there are 100 paise in 1 Rupee, one hundredth of 1 rupee is therefore 1 paise, meaning that 1 per cent of 1 rupee is 1 paise. From this we can calculate that 50 per cent of 1 rupee is 50 paise. This photograph shows seven Indian currency notes: a 5 rupee note, a 10 rupee note, a 20 rupee note, a 50 rupee note, a 100 rupee note, 500 rupee note and a 1000 rupee note. If 50 paise is 50 per cent of 1 rupee, then 5 rupee is 50 per cent of 10 rupee, 10 rupee is 50 per cent of 20 rupee etc.

Fractions of Fruits And Vegetable

You can cut all sorts of fruit and vegetables into fractions: cut a tomato in half, an apple into quarters or a banana into eighths, although you would have to be very accurate. An orange might have 20 segments, and each would be a 20th of the whole orange.

Geometry

Geometry : It is a part of mathematics concerned with the question of size, shape, and relative position of figures and with properties of space.

Where are the Geometry use ?

1. It is used in the construction of the buildings, homes and etc.

2. It is used to find the area of anything like carpets, floor, furniture and etc.

Arithmetic

Arithmetic ( Profit and Loss, Percentage, Ratio and Time related problems): The word refers to the branch of mathematics which records eliminatory properties of certain operations on number.

Where are the Arithmetic use ?

1. It is used in the markets.2. It is used by the shopkeepers.3. It is used in the banks. 4. It is used by the Goldsmith,

Blacksmith and etc.

Calculus

Calculus : It is the study of change, in the same way that geometry is the study of space. It includes the study of limits, derivative, integrals, and infinite series.

Where are the Calculus use ?1. It is used in the physics lab.2. It is used in the science and

engineering study.3. It used in the higher studies of

mathematics.

Rectangle And Circles

This car is built with geometry. The wheels and lights are circles, the doors are rectangular prisms, the main area for a person to drive and sit in it a half a sphere with the sides chopped off which makes it 1/4 of a sphere. If a person would look very closely the person would see a lot more shapes in the car. Too many to list.

Importance of mathematics for a future

career

Most of university degree require mathematics. Students who choose not to take mathematics seriously or to ignore it in high school forfeit many future career opportunities that they could have. They essentially turn their backs on more than half the job market. The importance of mathematics for potential careers cannot be over emphasized. To get degrees in the following areas one need to have good knowledge of mathematics and statistics.

Importance

Mathematics is basically related to understanding structure It is used to do logical analysis, make relevant calculations and eventually to deduce conclusions. and pattern.

Everything is with math

Maths is unavoidable. It’s deeply fundamental thing. Without math, there would be no science, no music, no art. Maths is a part of all of those things. If it’s got a structure, then there’s an aspect of it that’s mathematical.
