•  Pro: Doing something in which you enjoy as a means of a career and working /traveling and mee>ng new people. 

•  Cons: Can get tedious, and become hard to understand what the demand is for Today’s hits. 

•  Pro: Networking with People whom share the same interest in what you do, and an everlas>ng love for the Arts/Music.   

•  Cons: If you didn’t learn how to play and instrument, it can be a roadblock at >mes, but it shouldn’t deter you from know what good music is/sounds like.

Steps to Achieving 

•  Preferably learn an instrument at a younger age and/or gain extensive knowledge about the field you are about to embark in; know it inside and out. 

•  Start ALending live shows and learn what is generally crowd responsive in today’s popular music. Use this as a template, and from there, branch off into something original.  

•  Originality is the key! Keep reinven>ng and striving to be out of the box, while keeping in mind, what is familiar to the audience you are marke>ng to. 

•  Keep it stress‐free/ rewarding and keep the love burning overall!

Steps To Achieving (Part 2) 

•  Generally it’s a good idea to have a fall back plan for your music career as it can be risk; yet let the risk be something that can fall directly in the path of your passion, such as a Business Degree, unless you wish to try other things. 

•  Upon gradua>on, you can try to land a internship with a record company which should give you ample opportunity to pursue further into your career and understand the up’s and down’s of the music industry.
