This church was finished in 1904. By that time the Germans had been here already since 86. The group of Germans who came here were not church people in the meaning of state church. One of the reasons they left Litenberg was because they had enough from the state church. Then they had a split in the German community and part of the group thought that after 30 years it will be nice to have a church. So the same architect who then had constructed the redeam church in Jerusalem several years before was asked to make a church here. He wanted to make a bigger church but the community adjusted it to the small community here. The German colony used this church until the 2nd world war. Then they had to go. The British ruled here and the German moved to Australia, some in 1940 and some several years later. There was a communian agreement between the Israeli state who was responsible for the building and the property that the Lutheran World Federation should take care of the church. The Lutheran World Federation had contact with some people in the Lutheran church that was interested in running this place. So from the fifties it has been ran by Scandinavians. Lately, the Sweedish and the Phines have come into this operation.

Today, this church is kind of a United Nations center, but there are so many foreign workers in Israel, so here we always have Notzrim from Gana, Nigeria, from Romenia, from Korea. This church is used mostly by this congregation of foreign workers. The church is open to everybody.

The glass painting here are made by a Norwegian artist called Victor Stadler that worked in the mid seventies. Victor Stadler went to old Jaffa and tried to find out something about the history of this place. He went to the house of the tendler and there he found a Rusian tenant, someone that made alia. He started to talk to him, he was also an artist. They found out that they had many good common friend by the name of Soldgenitzin, Soldenitzin and the tenant who are also in Jaffa have been in the same archipelach. From this artist in Haifa he brought a lot of good ideas. On the left side we can see a door, which we know is named Tabita. She is from Lita, which is the same as Lod, Pitter the opposter called her back to life. This story is from what we call the Biblical acts in the Brit Hadasha. In the middle we see Piter on the roof of Simon the tanner and he has his vision that he might be allowed to break the cosher rules so he could receive the delegation from Cesaria Maris, Cornelious, the Roman governor. Piter went to his house in Cesaria. There is where the first goim were baptized and became Notzrim. In front we see a cript with the story of Beit Lechem. On the right there is a painting ( )

Behind is a Menora and the lights are on. There is another Menora on the Alter. This is a recognition that we are very much aware of that we are standing here on Jewish historical ground and wherever there are Notzrim in Israel they know that they are on Jewish ground.

There is no congregation to this church, but a service is been done every Saturday morning and there is an average of 50-70 people who come to the service. On Sundays mornings there are less people, about 25. There are also Anglicans from north Europe, from South Africa, from Australia passing by. Most people are working on Sunday.
