Summary. There was made an attempt to identify the common features of anti-

Americanism in post-Soviet Ukraine and Russia. The presence of so-called old (Soviet) and new (post-Soviet) anti-Americanism were determined. It was noted that anti-Ame-ricanism in Ukraine is more moderate than in Russia, where it became one of the founda-

tions of public policy.

Summary. The concept of soft power provides for use of persuasion and attraction, by contrast to coercion or threats (hard power), in order to achieve desired results or action from other countries. The conventional wisdom identifies public and

cultural diplomacy as methods of soft power, while military and economic power is widely

regarded as domains of hard power. However these characteristics of a state can also

produce soft power. The article makes an attempt to explain the connection between military

and economic power and soft power of a state on the U.S. example.

Summary. The article is devoted to analyzing of well-known American philo-

sopher and public intellectual Noam Chomskys views onto America foreign policy. His interpretation of the causes, content and consequences of American policy during the

Summary. The article for the first time in Ukrainian historiography shows

development and current state of the two most common in modern times, social and psyc-

Summary. The article is dedicated to institutional and human resource issues and

stages of becoming the Diplomatic Service of the USA, including current issues rotation

model the US diplomats and improve their professional skills. It is the experience of the

Summary. The article is mostly d3dicated to coverage of relations between the

USF and Egypt in a context of the Middle East conflicts, taking into account the working

model economic assistance instead of the political concessions which had been succes-sfully applied practically throughout the period of H. Mubark presidency. Also it was gi-

ven some analysis to American-Egyptian relations in the context of the Palestinian-Israeli

conflict and characterized both solidarity and differences in the approaches of official

Washington and Cairo on how to resolve the Palestinian problem. After the failure in

2004 of American plan Big Middle East, which goal was to conduct democratization in the countries of this region through radical reforms in political, economic and social

fields, relations between the USA and Egypt became considerably colder. As a result, a

wave of revolutionary events in Arabic East, including Egypt, put an end of H. Mubarak

presidency.

Summary. The aim of article is attempt to analyze character of cooperation

between the Czech Republic and the United States of America, research features of this

model an international partnership and implications for European security policy. In a

study reviewed the views of American, Czech, Russian and Ukrainian researchers on

the collaboration features between the European states and Washington, described the

main approaches to settlement of problems and the opportunities for cooperation. The

determinations of the main problems in the Czech-American relations made it possible

to trace their specificity and integrity, and helped better understanding tools for reduce

negative impact of asymmetric partnership relations between CR and USA. The article

is one of the reflections on of dissimilar development the international security system.
