On 19 March, C- =1 traveled to Copenhagen to surreptitiously monitor the CATIDE/s_ ..M operation directed against the Josef LENSKY/"GEIGE" meeting which was expected to take place in the dining room of the Skovriderkroen Hotel at 12:00 noon on 20 March 1965. 2. Through pre-arranged planning, L :3 was able to register, under alias, in the room situated directly above the dining room where the meeting was to be held. R. p rinr tn th. nrtnal manning of the LP, C- -3. requested that : C.. .:3, who was fully conversant in the German language, be assigned to the LP during the monitoring. As a result of this request, E.. :j's wife was assigned the task. 4. On the day of the meeting, monitoring began at 11J:40 hours. During the course of the monitoring the entire band-width of the SRR-4 receiver was covered no less than a minimum of five (5) times. Particular emphasis was directed to those frequencies that are covered by the SRT-5 transmitter, i.e., 130-140 megacycles. Every signal received, i.e., taxi, aircraft, Danish, and Swedish radio transmissions were all positively identified by C__ _I's wife. At no time wts any signal received that resembled dining room chattex or conversation.
