**Since mid-2000s, Ministry of Education (MOE) started a series of initiative projects, among them, eLearning Accreditation at three various levels, namely, distance program level, individual course level, and eLearning materials level. This is the sixth year of practicing. Since 2006, 372 courses have been sent for review, only 193 (51.9%) have been approved successfully. MOE sets the accreditation standards to assure the quality of eLearning in higher education*It further enlightens the importance of information literacy education for higher education students by promoting Information Literacy related courses as the core in Liberal Arts education in colleges and universities. Library and Information Literacy (LIL) is one of the three courses. NTNU (National Taiwan Normal University) is assigned to lead the project to deliver and to promote the LIL course.
