家でするアクティビティ子どもは 2 つのもの(鉛筆と消しゴムなど)を使って、前置詞句の next to, in front of, behind を示す。次に、子どもと順番を交替で、家の中を見回しながら There’s a (bookshelf) (behind) the (sofa). と言う。次は子どもに Is there a (table) (in front of) the (bed)? と質問する。子どもは Yes, there is. または No, there isn’t. と答える。子どもが質問できるように役を交替して、質問されたら答える。

家でするアクティビティ子どもと一緒に家の中を歩きまわる。Lesson 2 に出てくる各部屋で立ちどまり、その部屋に何があるかについて話す。子どもと交互に There (is) (one table) in the (kitchen). と言う。各部屋について話したら、Are there (two tables) in the (kitchen)? と言って、それぞれの部屋に何があるかを子どもに質問する。子どもは Yes, there are. または No, there aren’t. と答える。役を交替して、子どもが質問する。質問されたら答える。

家でするアクティビティ子どもと一緒に Lesson 3 の会話を練習する。リビングルームを少し散らかしてから、子どもに The living room’s messy! と言う。子どもは Let’s clean up. と答える。一緒に片づけてから、役を交替して、もう 1 度始める。次に Be helpful. という道徳観について話し、家庭や学校で人に手助けをするときにはどのようにしたらよいかについて、子どもに話しをさせる。

家でするアクティビティ子どもは 100 まで数える。次は子どもと一緒に練習をする。家にあるものを何か選んで、How many (books) are there? と質問する。子どもは There are (twenty-five) (books). と答える。次に、子どもに How many (yellow) (books) are there? と質問する。子どもは There are (three) (yellow) (books). と答える。そのあと子どもが質問できるように役を交替して、質問されたら答える。
