remember Allah and ask

forgiveness for their sins; - and

none can forgive sins but Allah

- and do not persist in what

(wrong) they have done, while

they know.

For such, the reward is

Forgiveness from their Lord,

and Gardens with rivers

flowing underneath (Paradise),

wherein they shall abide

forever. How excellent is this

reward for the doers (who do

righteous deeds according to

Allah's Orders)."

charity), but found nothing on

me except one date, so I gave

it to her. She took it and then

divided it between her two

daughters and eating nothing

of it. She then got up and went

out, as did her daughters.

When the Prophet (peace be

upon him) came, I told him her

story. He (peace be upon him)

said, 'Whoever is to put to the

test of (raising) daughters, and

treats them well, they will be a

shield for him against the

Fire.'"

3. The Prophet (peace be upon him) guided us to the important effect of love when he said: "Propagate the ’peace’ (saying: ’Assalamu alaykum [Peace be unto you]’) among you."

Muslim Women (Balqis)

Daily messages that include matters that interest women from among Ayahs, Hadith, juristic rulings, or Islamic advice. Women are the counterparts of men and they have rights similar to those over them in what is reasonable. It is important to care for Muslimahs from a young age and nurture piety in them and righteousness so they will be a good wife and mother who fears Allah when raising their children, who are the reservoir for the future.

1. Allah

preserved the inheritance of a woman when He says: "There is a share for women from what is left by parents and those nearest related."

2. The Prophet (peace be upon him) honored the mother and made her the most deserving person of kind treatment.

3. It is permissible for women to pray in the mosque, according to the Hadith: "Do not prevent the maid-servants of Allah from frequenting the mosques (for Prayers)."

4. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The world is but a (passing) enjoyment; and the best enjoyment of the world is a pious woman."

You know how important it is to maintain the ties of kinship. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Anyone who would like his sustenance to be extended and his age lengthened should maintain the ties of kinship." He also reported that Allah said: "The tie of kinship is suspended from the Throne and it says, ‘Whoever unites me, Allah will unite with him, and whoever severs me Allah will sever (His Ties with) him.’" You have a very big role to play in keeping strong ties between your husband and his mother, father, brothers, and sisters, and his other relatives. Be instrumental in keeping members of the family united, rather than disunited. This is one of your important roles; so don't neglect it.

One of the keys to happiness is to know your rights and responsibilities, and not go beyond them. Obey your husband, except in disobedience to Allah. Honor his rights in yourself and his property. Overlook his lapses; don’t offend him when he is present, and be faithful to him when he is absent. Be a pious wife, reach a mutual agreement and enjoy a loving and merciful marital life. Act according to the Prophet's Hadith: "The world is but a (passing) enjoyment; and the best enjoyment of the world is a pious woman." It is wonderful to surpass others in piety, as it affects the way you raise your children; on goodness and guidance. A pious woman protects her children and enfolds them in the blessings of her worship in this life and the Hereafter. A pious woman is keen to raise her children in piety and be pleased with them in this world and when they enter Paradise in the Hereafter.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: "The most repeated supplication by the Prophet (peace be upon him) was: ‘Our Lord! Grant us the good in this world and the good in the Hereafter and save us from the torment of the Fire.’" (Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

The Fast of Menstruating

Women Muslim sister! You need to know the rulings pertaining to menstruation during Ramadan. Did you know that a menstruating woman is forbidden to fast, that her fast is invalid, and that she is required to make up for the missed days? If a woman starts her period when she is fasting, even if it is just a moment before sunset, her fast is void and she must make up for that missed day. If a woman feels the movement of her period before sunset, but the blood is not discharged until after sunset, her fast is complete, according to the most authentic opinion, as there is no ruling about internal blood. If a woman is menstruating when the dawn breaks, it is not valid for her to fast, even if she reaches a ritually purified state a minute after the dawn. If she reaches a ritually purified state before dawn and she fasts, her fast is valid, even if she does not take Ghusl (a ritual bath) until after dawn. This is similar to someone in a state of major ritual impurity due to sexual intercourse who intends to fast while in this state, if they do not take Ghusl until after the dawn has broken, their fast is valid. 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) sometimes woke up in the state of major ritual impurity from sexual intercourse not a wet dream, he would then

Best Manners

This message reminds Muslims of the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "If one of you is fasting do not use obscene language nor act ignorantly. And if anyone insults him or fights with him, he should say: ‘I am fasting’." (Related by Al-Bukhari)

Warning against the Traits

of the Hypocrites Islam gives a great importance to morals and manners and considers them an act of worship. Anyone who has bad morals, and is known for lying, breaking promises, and losing trusts will be censured by society and disgraced as a hypocrite. It is related on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There are three signs of a hypocrite: When he speaks he lies; and when he make a promise he breaks it; and when he is trusted he betrays (the trust)." (Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) It is better for a Muslim to perfect his Islam and be truthful in his words to refine his soul. And what is better for him than to keep his promises to gain respect and what is better for him than to honor his trusts to be acquitted of his obligations. This is how Islam calls a Muslim to be kind in his dealings and refined his morals.

The Best Deeds

Daily messages that include the best deeds, encouraging Muslims to perform them. Allah says: "And say (O Muhammad peace be upon him) "Do deeds! Allah will see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger (peace be upon him) and the believers." He also says: "Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) and do righteous deeds."

The Merit of Reciting the

It is related in a Hadith on the authority of 'Uthman ibn 'Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) who reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it." (Related by Al-Bukhari) And another on the authority of 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) who reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Anyone who is proficient in the Qur'an is associated with the noble, upright, righteous angels; and anyone who falters in it, and finds it difficult, will have a double reward; one for recitation and the other for the hardship on the reciter." (Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim) I advise both myself and you to exert all effort in reciting the Qur'an during Ramadan, the month during which the Qur'an was revealed on Laylatul-Qadr.
