Organisational Development: The four key aspects to keep in mind 1. What is Organisational Development? Organisational development (OD) is a planned effort to make an organisation more effective and sustainable by involving the people of the organisation in a change process which is based upon a strategic vision that evolves with society and focuses on the Mission of Scouting. Successful OD is based on an analysis of the organisations environment and an internal needs and strengths analysis that identifies the main challenges to be solved through a holistic OD process. The starting point is the development of a realistic vision for the future. Successful OD in Scouting is based on the principles of Scouting (Mission and Method) and organisational behaviours in a learning organisation 2. What is the OD model?
