Вступ

В контексті нових соціально-економічних умов розвитку українського соціуму, зокрема процесі глобалізації економіки, інтеграції в різних сферах суспільного життя, підвищення інтересу до вивчення іноземних мов, як засобу міжкультурного ділового та особистого спілкування, реалізація стратегічних завдань державної освітньої політики таких як, орієнтація змісту освіти на компетентності, необхідних для успішної самореалізації в суспільстві, за словами міністра освіти Л.Гриневич, потребує нового підходу до вивчення, навчання та викладання іноземних мов. В наші дні викладацьке мистецтво чітко диктує необхідність нових підходів до навчання, у тому числі і англійської мови. Старі методики, що були колись єдино вірними, відходять в минуле, а їх місце займає нова, креативна техніка викладання, ґрунтована на розумінні учнями пройденого матеріалу, зацікавленості в його вивченні, умінні успішно використати його в реальних життєвих ситуаціях.

Пріоритетним стає завдання не лише дати учням знання і вміння, а й, що важливіше, навчити користуватися ними і здобувати їх протягом всього життя, так як сьогодні пересічний український школяр часто не отримує вміння застосовувати отримані знання для вирішення життєвих проблем. Щодо англійської,існування мовного барєру дістало підтвердження під час проведення цьогорічного Євробачення в м. Києві. Іноземці, ділячись приємними враженнями про Україну та доброзичних українців, зазначили, що наші співвітчизники, на жаль, мало говорять англійською, на відміну від громадян інших європейських країн.

А за експертними прогнозами у 2020 році найбільш затребуваними на ринку праці будуть вміння навчатися впродовж життя, критично мислити, ставити цілі та досягати їх, працювати в команді, спілкуватися в багатокультурному середовищі. Тому у проекті нового базового Закону «Про

освіту» серед 10 ключових компетентностей на другому місці зазначена компетентність «Спілкування іноземними мовами. Уміння належно розуміти висловлене іноземною мовою, усно і письмово висловлювати і тлумачити поняття, думки, почуття, факти та погляди (через слухання, говоріння, читання і письмо) у широкому діапазоні соціальних і культурних контекстів. Уміння посередницької діяльності та міжкультурного спілкування».

Відповідно до Державного стандарту головною метою навчання іноземних мов у межах базового курсу є формування в учнів комунікативної компетенції, базою для якої є комунікативні вміння, сформовані на основі мовних знань та навичок. Учні мають оволодіти основами іншомовного спілкування, у процесі якого здійснюються освіта, виховання і розвиток особистості. Державним стандартом визначається базовий рівень володіння іншомовним спілкуванням, досягнення якого є обов'язковим для всіх учнів певного типу середнього навчального закладу. Базовий рівень для основної середньої загальноосвітньої школи (5-9) класи передбачає здатність учнів здійснювати іншомовне спілкування з носіями мови, що вивчається, в найбільш розповсюджених стандартних ситуаціях і користуватися письмом в обмеженому обсязі, а також читати і розуміти нескладні тексти.

9 клас є завершальним етапом щодо створення бази для активного володіння навчальним іншомовним матеріалом. На цьому ступені продовжується розвиток усіх видів мовленнєвої діяльності, серед яких домінує усне мовлення. Мовлення учнів стає змістовнішим, більш аргументованим, складнішим за структурою мовного та мовленнєвого матеріалу. У цьому віці активно розвивається аналітико-синтетична діяльність, зростає прагнення зрозуміти вивчені явища, спиратися на словесно-логічну (смислову) пам'ять, удаватися до прийомів опосередкованого, довільного запам'ятовування. Ведеться робота з формування рецептивних навичок. На цьому ж ступені продовжується формування потенціального активного словника учнів. Учні оволодівають практично всім граматичним матеріалом, необхідним для усного та писемного мовлення.

Засвоєння граматичних структур на рівні навичок відбувається через тренувальну роботу в комунікативних вправах із використанням різних опор, при виконанні вправ вдома, граматичних тренінгах та тестах.. Учні вчаться самостійно добирати й формоутворювати лексичні одиниці та граматичні явища відповідно до комунікативних потреб. У 9-му класі граматична компетенція включає вивчення таких граматичних явищ, як TheGerund, TheInfinitive, Conditional 1, RelativeClause, Present/Past/ Future Perfect Passive Voice, продовжується вивчення фразових дієслів, відносного займенника who, which, that та сполучників. Граматичні явища, які раніше засвоювалися як типові моделі, тепер узагальнюють і подають як систему правил.

На даному етапі навчання здійснюється інтенсивне включення в зміст навчання країнознавчих знань, які забезпечують засвоєння учнями реалій іншої національної культури, розширення їхнього загального кругозору, що приведе також до підвищення інтересу до іноземної мови. До категорії засобів навчання, що більше усього можуть наблизити учня до природного культурологічного середовища, відносяться автентичні матеріали: справжні літературні, образотворчі, музичні добутки, предмети реальної дійсності та їх ілюстративне зображення. Доцільно використовувати одноразові, повсякденні матеріали, такі, як афіші-оголошення, анкети, квитки проїзні і вхідні, вивіски, етикетки, меню, рахунки, карти, рекламні проспекти з туризму і т.д.

Специфіка цих засобів полягає в тому, що вони забезпечують спілкування з живими, реальними предметами, стимулюють майже справжню комунікацію: учні як би проживають усі події, грають визначені ролі, вирішують проблеми (купівлі, екскурсій, вибору навчального центра і професії, заповнення анкет, вибору меню і т.д. Водночас актуалізується самостійна навчальна робота. Під час занять слід приділяти увагу виробленню умінь користуватися довідковою літературою, словниками, здійснювати пошук інформації в бібліотеці та Інтернеті, виділяти головне, готувати повідомлення, контролювати себе і один одного у процесі

навчальної роботи,ефективно співпрацювати у команді, робити спільні проекти, використовувати нові технології.

Учні продовжують навчатися читати іноземною мовою різножанрову літературу через впровадження у навчальний процес різних видів читання: вивчаючого, ознайомлювального, переглядового. При навчанні читання формуються вміння читати суспільно-політичні тексти, інформаційно-довідкові та газетно-журнальні матеріали з метою одержання повної та основної інформації, а також уміння знаходити та аналізувати необхідну інформацію, робити висновки з прочитаного, диференціювати основні факти та другорядну інформацію, розуміти логічні зв’язки в середині тексту та між його частинами. Тексти для ознайомлювального читання у 9-му класі можуть містити до 5% незнайомих слів, а для вивчального читання - до 3%. Домінуючою є робота з автентичним матеріалом.

Навчати аудіюванню можна через використання радіо- і телепрограм доступного рівня складності та різноманітних за стилями та жанрами: фабульні, публіцистичні інтерв'ю. Темп звучання текстів зростає, наближується до нормального. У них має бути 2-4% незнайомих слів, про значення яких учні можуть здогадуватися.

З огляду на сучасну тенденцію навчання, згідно з якою учень розглядається як суб'єкт навчальної діяльності, актуальним є застосування таких її форм, котрі інтенсифікують навчання, спонукають до активної роботи кожного учня і разом з тим дають йому можливість самому регулювати темп та умови виконання діяльності. Вимога різноманітності форм роботи є особливо важливою для навчання усного мовлення, адже на відміну від аудіювання і читання, які легко організувати як синхронну діяльність, усне мовлення потребує взаємних контактів, які й повинен забезпечити вчитель на уроці.

Особливий ефект у цьому сенсі дає поєднання індивідуальних форм роботи з колективними. До індивідуальних форм відносять роботу у фронтальному режимі (відповіді учнів по черзі), опитування окремих учнів, індивідуально-масове тренування. Колективні форми роботи охоплюють колективно-

масове тренування в парах без змін або із зміною партнерів (наприклад, прийоми «шеренги», «натовп») та в малих групах від трьох до п'яти учасників (самостійне синхронне виконання вправ учнями у двійках, трійках і т. п.), хорове реплікування в режимі група - група, група - один учень, один учень - група. Колективні форми роботи учнів є перспективними для навчання спілкування. Вони не тільки збільшують активний час діяльності учнів, але й знижують стан тривожності, допомагають подолати боязнь помилок, формують в учнів почуття колективізму. Дуже важливо використовувати наочність та медіа ресурси, які в різномаїтті пропонує Інтернет, освітні програми. Говоріння учнів дедалі більше наближається до реального спілкування. Згідно з вимогами програми, учні 9-го класу мають оволодіти вміннями характеризувати людей, їх вчинки, події, висловлювати власне ставлення до подій, суспільних явищ, розповідати про повсякденне життя, плани на майбутнє, свої захоплення, уподобання, ідеали, підтримувати розмову, аргументувати та аналізувати, надавати оцінку подіям, ситуаціям, вчинкам, діям, дотримуючись нормативного мовлення,. Монологічне мовлення збільшується за обсягом (до 16 речень наприкінці 9 класу), воно має складатися з різноманітних за структурою речень. Зростає значення непідготовленого мовлення, хоча воно ще може ґрунтуватися на елементах підготовленого мовлення, яке учні складають самостійно у домашній роботі. Тематика для усного мовлення подана в програмі в такий спосіб, щоб теми для говоріння особистісного характеру, публічної та освітньої сфер спілкування від класу до класу розширювалися та ускладнювалися. Так для учнів цього рівня тематика ситуативного спілкування включає особистісну сферу спілкування (Я та мої друзі. Риси характеру. Природа і погода. Охорона довкілля), публічну сферу (Засоби масової інформації як Інтернет, телебачення, радіо. Молодіжна культура. Наука і технічний прогрес. Англомовний світ: Великобританія, США, Канада, Австралія) та освітню сферу спілкування (Робота і вибір професії).

Діалогічне мовлення учнів 9 - го класу відбувається у межах 8 реплік, правильно оформлених у мовному відношенні, відповідно до комунікативної ситуації. Як і будь-який інший вид мовленнєвої діяльності, діалогічне мовлення на уроці має бути вмотивоване. Проте в умовах навчання іноземної мови мотив сам по собі виникає далеко не завжди. Отже, необхідно створити умови, в яких у школярів з'явилося би бажання та потреба щось сказати, передати почуття, тобто, за висловом К.Станіславського, "поставити їх у запропоновані обставини".

Крім того, сприятливий психологічний клімат на уроці, доброзичливі стосунки, зацікавленість в роботі також сприятимуть вмотивованості діалогічного мовлення. Однією з найважливіших психологічних особливостей діалогічного мовлення є його ситуативність. Слід зазначити, що у процесі навчання нас цікавлять не будь-які ситуації дійсності, а лише такі, що спонукають до мовлення. Такі ситуації називають мовленнєвими або комунікативними і вони завжди містять у собі стимул до мовлення, моделюючи природні комунікативні ситуації. На цьому етапі вчителю слід застосовувати дорослий стиль спілкування, так як учні цього віку націлені на самореалізацію та самоактуалізацію, соціальну на пізнавальну активність. Саме тому вчителю іноземної мови слід більше урізноманітнювати методи роботи, включати різне тематичне наповнення, яке цікавить школярів на даному етапі навчання. У процесі викладання іноземної мови взагалі, комунікативний підхід є найбільш ефективним у вивченні іноземної мови, оскільки він спрямований на інтенсивний розвиток мовленнєвих навичок.

Ефективність уроку визначається ступенем розумово-мовленнєвої активності учнів, і завдання вчителя полягає у залученні їх до активної внутрішньої розумової та зовнішньої мовленнєвої діяльності і підтриманні її протягом уроку. До факторів, що стимулюють розумово-мовленнєву діяльність, відноситься використання змістовного та інформативного навчального матеріалу, що відповідає інтелектуальному розвитку учнів; постановка цілей, що спонукають учнів до вирішення комунікативних завдань, до висловлювання власних

думок; застосування прийомів навчання, що дають можливість кожному учню брати безпосередню участь у мовленнєвій діяльності та максимально збільшують їх активний час на уроці. Стимулювання активності учнів має бути пов'язаним з розвитком у них мовленнєвої ініціативи. Це означає, що домінувати на уроці повинен учень, а не вчитель. Така вимога відповідає особистісно-діяльнісному підходу, згідно з яким у центрі навчання знаходиться суб'єкт-учень. Учитель в контексті цього підходу організовує, спрямовує і коректує навчальний процес, виходячи з інтересів учня, рівня його знань та вмінь.

Пам’ятка вчителю щодо вимог до сучасного уроку.

1.Знання об'єктивних законів психології навчання та принципів дидактики (науковості, систематичності та послідовності навчання, наочності та доступності, свідомості та активності, міцності та ґрунтовності знань, індивідуального підходу в навчанні.2.Високий рівень науковості, тобто відповідність змісту уроку сучасним досягненням науки і процесу навчання — останнім досягненням педагогіки, психології навчання.3.Систематичний і цілеспрямований контроль за якістю знань учнів, за оцінюванням знань учнів, вироблення навичок та вмінь.4.Чітка дидактична цілеспрямованість. Учні повинні знати як головну мету уроку, так і конкретну мету кожного завдання, що виконується.5.На основі сформованих знань, умінь та навичок учнів учити їх використовувати раціональні способи пізнавальної та практичної діяльності, формувати у школярів культуру праці, вміння вчитися (самостійна робота з підручником, книгою, довідковою літературою, складання простого і розгорнутого плану, тези, конспект, доповідь, працювати за інструкцією, самоконтроль).6.Чітка структура уроку, що визначається змістом навчання, дидактичною метою, рівнем підготовленості учнів, засобами та методами навчання, вимогами гігієни розумової праці та психології навчання.

7.Педагогічна доцільність добору різноманітних засобів і прийомів навчання для уроку в цілому і для кожного його етапу, що забезпечує активну пізнавальну діяльність учнів; відповідність методів навчання дидактичній меті, віковим особливостям учнів і рівню їхньої теоретичної та практичної підготовленості. Широке застосування проблемного, дослідницького методів навчання.8.Нестандартні форми проведення уроку і заходи, які сприяють їхньому впровадженню.9.Здійснення міжпредметних зв'язків.10.Урахування принципів диференціації та індивідуалізації.11.Дотримання вимог гігієни розумової праці учнів і шкільної гігієни. Попередження перевантаження, стомлюваності школярів.12.Створення оптимального психологічного режиму на уроці (атмосфера доброзичливості, взаєморозуміння, довіри, всебічного заохочення пізнавальних зусиль учнів).13.Дотримання технологічних вимог (робоче місце вчителя та учня, мобілізуючий початок уроку, раціональне використання класної дошки, наочності, технічних засобів навчання, чітке дозування навчальної праці на кожному етапі уроку з урахуванням індивідуальних можливостей учнів).14.Культура вчителя, широкий діапазон його знань, інтелектуальний рівень.15.Результативність уроку (ступінь досягнення мети, якість знань та рівень сформованості умінь і навичок, позитивні зміни в розвитку і вихованні учнів).Урок - це дзеркало загальної педагогічної культури та майстерності вчителя, мірило його інтелектуального скарбу, показник його кругозору й ерудиції.Він, як і будь-яке інше складне явище, повинний бути осмислений учителем, і пропущений через його розум і серце. the topical issues of the day. Both on radio and TV you can listen to a programme on sports, art, news, music and weather. The difference is that on TV you can see everything you've heard about. And it's an important advantage. Besides, there are a lot of entertaining programmes on TV, a lot of feature, documentary films which provoke hot discussions. But watching TV is often a waste of time.

Radio is preferable to TV when you are at work and need information or have to focus your attention on something else. For

example, when you drive a car, it's better to listen to radio than to watch TV.

But both radio and TV play an important role in our life as well as newspapers. They give the full coverage of the latest events, comment on the most important developments, political and domestic affairs. They acquaint us with different views and opinions. Thus, they contribute to the development of the information network.

That's why in the recent years there has been the increase in the amount of time spent watching TV. Though it depends on the season, the age of the viewers and social class. For example, TV viewing is less popular in summer than in winter. It is more popular with old people than with other age groups. Professional and managerial classes watch less than the unskilled. Besides, women watch more than men.

Television is not a stable invention. It has been still developing. The TV set itself has also changed from a wooden box with a small screen multiplied by a special magnifier to a high-tech plain liquid-crystal display.

The Internet has caused   a fundamental change in the world of television. People watch TV on their   mobile phones, laptops or iPads. They watch different things at the same time on different kinds of   devices. We watch TV in the same way that we used to listen to the radio. We turn it on but really don’t concentrate on it because we are doing many things at the same time.

4 Discussion Club. Розвиток навичок усного мовлення.- Many people have forgotten what the world was like before

TV. But today it has become an integral part of our lives. No medium can compare with TV as a means of information, entertainment and education.

1. Робота в парах.Учні отримують картки і в парах обговорюють подані запитання протягом 2—3 хвилин. По закінченні роботи троє-четверо з них повідомляють результати обговорення. Newspapers, radio and especially TV inform us of what is going on in this world

and give us wonderful possibilities for education and entertainment. They also shape our views and influence the way we see the world.  There are a lot of different TV programs and newspapers: a quiz show, a review, a commentary, an entertainment program on TV and a quality newspaper (a broadsheet), a tabloid, a local paper etc.      Of course, not all TV programs and newspapers report the events objectively, but serious journalists and TV reporters try to be fair and prove us with reliable information.      It is true that the world today is full of dramatic events and most news seems to be bad news. But people aren’t interested in ordinary events. That’s why, there are so many programs and articles about natural disasters, plane crashes, wars, murders and robberies. Good news doesn’t usually make headlines. Bad news does.      Some people say that journalists are given too much freedom. They often intrude on peoples’ private lives, they follow celebrities and print sensational stories about them, which are untrue or half-true. They take photos of them in their most intimate moments. The question is- should this be allowed? Do you remember how paparazzi pursued Diana, Princess of Wales, to the scene of her death in Paris on August 31, 1997? Who was guilty of this accident? It is quite possible that journalists were, isn’t it?       The main course of news for millions people is television. People like TV news because they can see everything with their own eyes. And that’s an important advantage. Seeing as we know is believing. Besides, it’s much more difficult for politicians to be in front of the cameras than on the pages of a newspaper. There isn’t any person in our country that hasn’t seen Savik Shuster’s TV talk show «Freedom of speech» is there?        Still, many people prefer the radio. It’s good to listen to in the car, or in the open air, or when you do something about the house.         Newspapers don’t react to events as TV, but they usually provide us with extra details, comment and background information.      The Internet has become another important source of information. Its main advantage is that news appears on the screen as soon as things happen in real life and you don’t have to wait for news on TV.

No doubt that TV plays a great role in the life of a modern man. It’s taken for granted that the most important role belongs to television. As time goes on, we tend to view more and listen less. Take for example meetings between famous people. We like seeing these people taking part in these discussions, merely to hear their voices is not quite the same thing. When we have time for leisure, we usually need something that can amuse or interest us. TV suggests various programs: talk and game shows, news, sporting events, about animals and foreign countries, all kinds of films and so on. It provides programs for all interests. It makes us educated people.

Hello! My name is Bill. I am fifteen years old. I am from Toronto, Canada. I live with Mum, Dad and my younger sister Kathy. All of us like watching TV, but our tastes and views are quite opposite. My Dad prefers the latest news and documentary programmes. He usually watches TV in the evening after his working day. Sometimes he likes to listen to the news in the morning while having breakfast. This film, directed by Simon Wincer, is a fascinating and moving adventure. It is set on the west coast of North America. The film is about the relationship between a boy and a whale, called Willy.

Jesse first meets Willy in the sea park where the whale is kept. They become good friends as they have both been separated from their families. As the story develops, Jesse becomes so fond of Willy that he decides to try and free him.

The film is filled with suspense and emotion. The scenes involving Jesse and Willy teach us how close animals and human beings can be to each other. This is a wonderful film for the whole family.

Listening and readinga) Listen and read the article and say what communication technologies from the photos are mentioned in the article.Do you know how a telephone works? Or a television? Probably not. It’s the same with computers. They are used for writing, reading, storing and transferring information by people in all kinds of jobs, but not many people know how they work.There are three basic parts of a computer: the input unit, CPU (Central processing unit) and the output unit.Imagine you want to store and send some information. First of all, you put the information into the CPU using the keyboard and a mouse.

If you already have the information on a floppy disk or a compact disk, you can put this in directly. When the information reaches the CPU, it is read using the ROM and then it is stored in the RAJII. Confusing?Not really — think of the ROM as the eyes and brain, and the RAM as the memory.Finally, the information is sent to the output unit. This means you can look at it on the VDU (visual display unit), which is like a television, tell the printer to print a copy on paper, or send it to another computer using a Modems let you send information along telephone lines to other computers anywhere in the world. With a modem you can connect your computer to millions of other computers via the Internet and use the World Wide Web (WWW).The Web uses hypertext. If you ‘click’ your mouse on these words, you get more details or links to other pages —a bit like a whole library at your fingertips!
