Variety Piazza Grande Award

Le Variety Piazza Grande Award sera décerné le samedi 14 août 2010, lors de la cérémonie de clôture du Festival sur la Piazza Grande.

Pour la troisième année, le Variety Piazza Grande Award sera remis à un fi lm présenté en première mondiale ou internationale dans la section Piazza Grande. Le jury se compose de plusieurs critiques du magazine professionnel américain Variety qui assisteront au Festival. Le prix est attribué au fi lm qui se distingue à la fois par ses qualités artistiques et par son potentiel pour une sortie en salles. Il entend contribuer au succès critique et commercial du fi lm retenu, grâce aux relations de Variety avec l’industrie du cinéma et à la renommée du magazine dans le secteur.

The Variety Piazza Grande Award will be presented on Saturday 14th August 2010, during the Festival’s closing ceremony on the Piazza Grande.

For the third year the Variety Piazza Grande Award will go to a fi lm screened in the Piazza Grande programme as a world or international première. The jury is composed of several critics attached to the American trade paper Variety who will be attending the Festival. The prize is awarded to the fi lm that stands out for both its artistic qualities and its potential for theatrical release, and is intended to assist the chosen movie’s critical and commercial fortunes thanks to Variety’s connection to the fi lm industry and its authority within the sector.
